Leo casts Blessing of Fervor, which should give everyone 30' of extra movement (or extra benefits for Annie's spells), and then moves 60' after the lycanthropes.

As a summoner, there's no reason to NOT ride around on your Eidolon all the time unless you're planning on summoning things, though. And Schwartz retrained some things at level up because he wanted to be more of a factor in combat damage.

There's nothing wrong with Annie's character, she should just not focus on dealing damage through spells—her strong suit will be piling on damage from multiple factors (for instance, a Summoned Celestial Leopard with pounce + smite evil could probably wreck one of those werewolves as bad as Schwartz did, as well as soaking up hits while throwing down support spells. I'd say you've got so much redundancy in attacking spells that it might make sense to pick up a few things like Haste (for Tibbers), Grease or Web that would give you more options than either of us without hurting your damage output. Rings of Spell Knowledge are a great way to do this, as they'd let you use either Sorcerer or Summoner slots to cast those spells.

[ooc]Also, the spell Summon Eidolon, which you know, would both allow Mr. Tibbers to appear and act immediately AND give him +4 to Str/Con from Augment Summoning, which is a pretty nice boost.[/oox]

Annie, you're only a level 5 summoner. Also, don't you have summons or an eidolon that could attack in this fight?

Acrobatics (DC 24): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18

Oops! Forgot about this. Since I'm a leopard, the only thing I can do is generally claw at its eyes.

Unlike true leopards, snow leopards cannot roar, but Leo growls really loudly and moves to pounce on the creature, still in full animal form.

(He can charge up to 80 feet; if it's further than that, he'll sneak towards it instead, letting him move 40 feet closer.

Acrobatics (to jump over any cows in the way during his charge): 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 37
Stealth (if, instead, he's sneaking): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26

Acrobatics (DC 24 for leaping strike, if it's large): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25

And, pouncing on the creature (if he can) like a wild animal, Leo delivers his claws and teeth with deadly accuracy.

Attack rolls (a lot, because pouncing while leopard):

Maybe they're spooooky swamp bandits!

Leo suggests that they do, in fact, do that. Schwartz can stand guard; Leo will memorize a bunch of castings of Disguise Self (a bonus domain spell), each of which lasts for over an hour, then shift into animal form and use the spell to disguise himself as a young cow (since he's now the same creature-type).

Disguise (as a medium-sized calf): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

So, it seems reasonable that David might go with Annie, since she probably knows him as well as she knows Leo, and he's certainly got a more flexible sense of morality that might make it easier for them to work together. He also asked us to bot him for the next week or two; if DG or TVfD want to, they could, or else I could try to pose some actions for him.

DG: There are handy stats for playing an ogre, although they're quite a few RP.

Meanwhile, an excellent (balanced) 3pp option for an ogre-like character is Half-Giant, from Psionics Unleashed.

Yeah, the game kind of slowed down, and we're trying to ramp it back up—but that means we're still waiting for people to reply. Since Schwartz and I were the only ones who weighed in on a path initially, I figured we'd go with that, but we haven't heard from the other party members (there's three more).

It would be quite simple to split the party, which is what I was expecting. Not sure where Imperius or Moneez are going, but David requested that he be botted—it's not unreasonable for him to prefer to hunt bandits with Annie (although that doesn't seem like a very good-aligned quest, which is why some of the characters preferred the cow-eater), and one of us could control him on that path.

The big problem with summoners is that the eidolon (or synthesist) mechanic lets you build a character whose stats and abilities aren't limited by the normal character-building rules. (Also, summoning 1d4 celestial tigers with smite and pounce can destroy almost any boss in a single round).

That said, the same reason is why lycanthropes are normally banned (and why I wouldn't even try to play one in a non-3pp game).

Oh, I can show you 20 OP summoner builds. The big thing about the summoner is that their abilities don't really stack well with anything, so a multi-classed summoner will always be crippled in a way few other classes can relate to.

Well, Leo will see what his skills as an animal/healer can tell him about the mutilation.

Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Heal: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

And
Perception (with Scent, to see if he can smell what's responsible): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16

The bandits were also described as only attacking people who deserve it--Leo would far rather fight a horrible chaos monster than a nice guy who happens to be a bit robbing-y. Of course, he also feels a bit protective of Moneez and Annie, and if they tried to persuade him it might make a difference.

Also, is someone tracking EXP? Should they be? Not sure how that works in this particular campaign.

And it looks like Moneez can drag 8000 lbs, so that's at least 16 intact ankheg corpses between the three of us if we put them on some sort of massive sled.

How much does a carapace weigh? If we're going to head back to town, we could start calculating how much we can haul.

(I can drag up to 5200 lbs of dead ankheg, and I think Moneez can haul a bit more)

You say that, but we've got a few skilled trackers, plus Leo's sense of smell should make it possible to pick up the trail further in the catacombs--especially if any of them are wounded and dripping ichor, we should have a trail to follow. Just figured it was worth checking before we head back.
