Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes keeps moving for a few hours, healing people as needed until the last of his magic is exhausted, then he turns to using the Heal skill to tend wounds. Before too late into the night, Lejes heads back to the Cathedral to collapse into a troubled sleep behind a barred door.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

After listening to the Sheriff's request and frowning a moment in thought, Lejes answers...

"Before anyone here heads off anywhere, I can at the very least tend any wounds. I'm not sure how much more of Gozreh's power I can channel at this point though...I'm beginning to feel a bit hollow."

Lejes staggers slightly, catching himself almost immediately on his staff. Shifting somewhat nervously, Lejes pretends that nothing has happened at all.

"If you wish, Sheriff, I can use what magic remains to me to help anyone who is beyond poultices or bandaging. Then again, if you all are going to be scouring the town for more goblins, perhaps I had best reserve what healing I have for now. The longer this goblin menace persists, the more folk might be injured."

Lejes suddenly seems to be listening to something no one else can hear. Then he sighs.

"Perhaps we should follow Aylmora first and make certain things are fine on that end of town?"

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes bows in the general direction of the nobleman.

"I wasn't aware we had any real nobility around here, Count Foxglove. Where is your seat, if I might ask? Korvosan or Magnimaran?" Lejes says, apparently rather surprised to find an actual noble in Sandpoint. Moments later, Lejes is even more surprised to hear the Count's offer of an invitation.

"Your offer is most generous, your Grace."

And when the Sheriff arrives...

Frowning at the Sheriff's statement about the goblin tribes...

"Three tribes working together? That is unusual to say the least. Which tribes?"

Off-hand I'm not sure which Knowledge Skill is appropriate here..but since Nature is all I have...

Knowledge: Nature 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes takes a step to D-13 and lays one hand on Hector while calling for Gozreh's aid.

"Lord of Waves, succor this man's wounds."

Cure Light Wounds on Hector 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes moves quickly over to D-12 and swipes at the goblin at E-10 with his walking stick. We're missing an '11' column, I'm just noticing...

Stick attack! 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Damage if it hits 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Lejes smacks his staff against the paving stones, missing the dancing goblin completely. Quickly, he tries to recover his balance from the missed swing.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Move Lejes to A-13 and then follow through with the previously stated action.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

"Damn! Is there no end to them? Where did they all come from?"

Lejes moves up and positions himself so he can try and heal as many members of the party at once without including any goblins in his Channel Energy radius.

Channel Energy 1d6 ⇒ 5

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes follows the others, moving quickly to keep up with the rest of the group.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes takes a few slow calming breaths after the last of the fires are extinguished and the burning cart no longer a danger to the town. Steadying himself, he listens around the area and says...

"Who else is hurt?"

Knowing Albrecht is hurt, Lejes goes over and heals him.

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Cure Light Wounds on Albrecht.

"Everyone gather close."

I know Albrecht is still rather hurt...Quar was shot and Thanadros took a hit as well. So I'll burn a Channel Energy to heal everyone as well.

1d6 ⇒ 1

Make that two Channel Energies.... x_x

1d6 ⇒ 1

Geez...we'll just call that good for now...unless there is anyone still majorly hurt. Thats 2 hp back to everyone in the party.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes hurries closer to the cart and casts Create Water on the flames.

"Lord of Waves, lend again the Undine's strength!"

Hopefully thats enough water to put it out, if not Lejes will cast create water again next round, if possible.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

As a quick request, since I'm playing the healer...could everyone keep and update their current Hit Points in your profiles? I see that Albrecht is doing so, but I'm not quite sure how injured Hector or Gornak are right at this moment until I look back through the thread and check how much damage they've taken, which for the moment I suppose I'll have to do. By my math, Hector has taken 5 points of damage and is closest so...

Hearing Hector's growl of pain, Lejes follows the sound to him, reaching lightly out to touch him.

"Lord of Winds, be a soothing balm to Hector's wounds."

Lejes moves to G-6 and casts Cure Light Wounds on Hector.

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

"Hector, who else is wounded? I won't allow anyone else to fall to filthy goblin blades." Lejes says to Hector in a low voice.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes will start in D-1 and move forward towards D-7 and will cast Create Water on the burning table at H-8 and H-9. And listening intently to the horrific goblin warbling, Lejes tries to determine if it has meaning.

Knowledge: Nature check 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Homing in on the sound, smell and heat of the nearby fire, Lejes raises his hand towards the blaze and calls out to Gozreh!

"Lord of Waves! Send the Undine to my call!"

Create Water summons 2 gallons of water, which Lejes is creating in a sphere right over the fire in question. Hopefully that will quench it.

"Ware! The chanter inspires and leads them! Kill it!"

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes nearly jumps out of his skin when Aylmora suddenly appears next to him.

"Ye Gods, I had no idea you were that graceful Aylmora...unfortunately we are pressed for tim--Wait! Burning wagon?! If you can get me there Aylmora I can call upon Gozreh's power of waves to try and put out the fire. Quickly now!"

Perception roll for that check above... 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

As Lejes is having a very difficult time finding his way through the crowd, he lets Aylmora guide him towards the fire.

I'm also fine with keeping the same Initiative or rolling again, either way.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

"Goblins....damned goblins...after the children Father Zantus. If you can care for them, we'll try and root out any others that may have slipped by."

Orienting himself in the proper direction, Lejes follows the sound of spattering blood falling from Hector's trophy and his footsteps, moving after him carefully. The crowd and the frenetic rushing about of all the townsfolk giving him difficulty following Hector. After a momentary rush, Lejes takes a moment to orient himself.

Perception Check 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 (Yay! Fumble!)

Losing Hector in the press of townsfolk, Lejes listens frantically a moment before turning to one of the passing townsfolk...

"Which way did the goblin go? Where!?" he says fiercely.

If Hector is still within 30 feet (kinda unlikely), Lejes can locate him. Since Hector was running and Lejes only double moving, I imagine I was left far behind by Hector at least.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes ducks down to check on the children under the table, prepared to aid them.

If any of them are injured he will cast Cure Light Wounds on the most injured child first. If no one is seriously injured he'll try and administer first aid. (But...considering the bloody bits the goblins came out with...I don't have good hopes for 'uninjured')

Heal check to determine the worst injured child (but alive 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Cure Light Wounds cast upon that child. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes whips his walking stick in a vicious arc towards the head of the goblin trying to get up from underneath the wagon.

AoO attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 Damage if it hits 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

If that hits and drops the goblin, Lejes will move towards the next nearest goblin and attack as well....otherwise he'll attack the same goblin again with his stick.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 if it hits, damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"This is for my father you scabrous little fiends!"

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Perception Check 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Lejes should be standing near Hector so we'll go with starting space of E-7.

Lejes moves after Albrecht to help protect the children under the wagon. He will move to E-4, ducking to jab at one of the goblins under the wagon with the end of his hanbo.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 if it hits, damage is 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

"Get away from those children you digusting little monsters!" Lejes roars in anger!

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes laughs ruefully at Albrecht and Hector's statement about Father Zantus.

"You'd think a Priest of Desna would know how to enjoy himself a bit more, wouldn't you? I think thats one of chief reasons I never found conversion to Desna's faith a very appealing one. Father Zantus may know her teachings and tenets backwards and forwards...but he has a hard time lightening up."

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes smiles as he hears Albrecht's voice and nods in his direction.

"Extremely well. I'm still amazed that the Cathedral is actually finished. I had half expected it would never happen...but look at what everyone has accomplished in the last few years, and now the Swallowtail Festival is finally here."

He holds up his goblet and swirls the mead within a bit...

"And what of you Albrecht? I hadn't heard you at all yet today, where have you been? I had actually just been thinking that perhaps we should check on Father Zantus and see if he needs any further assistance before the consecration." Lejes shakes his head ruefully... "If anyone should be taking the time to enjoy all this, its Father Zantus. I haven't heard him since his speech earlier and I'd like to make sure the old codger is enjoying himself and not off cleaning the vestibule or some such. Have any of you seen him?"

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes does seem to be eerily aware of his surroundings, blind or not. Though he doesn't look right at people until they move or he hears them speak, especially in this crowd.

Lejes shifts to look towards Thanadros once he speaks and finds his hand without more difficulty than a momentary hesitation.

"Good to meet you Thanadros. I do hope you are finding the festival to your liking. I just wanted to offer my welcome to you. You should find Sandpoint a very friendly place."

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

"One more cup of winterdrop mead if you will Mistress Aylmora!" Lejes says while holding out his cup in Aylmora's general direction. He then nods vaguely towards Thanadros...

"Greetings to you, stranger. You don't sound as though you are from around here. I am Lejes, of the Shrine of Gozreh in the Sandpoint Cathedral."

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Gesturing over towards Thanadros...

"Hector, who is the somewhat gruff fellow? He doesn't seem to be from around here. Speaking of which though, were you planning on attending the Harpy Queen? I'm undecided thus far...such plays are often too loud for me, especially since I miss the spectacle of it."

Lejes thinks a moment before draining his second mead and standing up.

"I had better get one more of these before the Dragon runs out."

Lejes starts heading over towards the Rusty Dragon's stall.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes nods at Hector.

"Its certainly better than being idle, yes? And Sarenrae is a good goddess, the Sun is an integral part of life...something far too many people take for granted. That is one facet of Gozreh that I truly appreciate...Gozreh doesn't judge the other gods and goddesses...They simply are."

Grinning Lejes says...
"I hope you don't mind a bit of unsolicited advice but...there is nothing greater you can do in any faith than to always appreciate the small things that come to you. While most misfortune is more the doings of folk like you and I....just live, I say, and appreciate the time you have. Ah...but enough pontificating. How is the festival? From the cooing earlier, I assume something pretty happened. Do tell."

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes grins at Hector's comment.

"No doubt. This town is a 'sight' better than anywhere else I've lived as well. Your voice is familiar...you've helped out at the Cathedral a time or two, haven't you? Forgive me if I don't recall your name. I take it you haven't frequented the shrine of Gozreh."

Lejes extends his hand after nestling his walking stick in the crook of his other arm.

"My name is Lejes. I follow Gozreh, if that means anything, really. And you?"

He wiggles his bare toes a bit to dislodge some dirt that has caked them.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

After finishing the delicious salmon...Lejes gingerly accepts a goblet of mead and begins drinking heartily. After downing one cup and having it refilled, Lejes starts to gravitate towards a quieter spot amongst the festivities, just to find a place to sit and listen to the sounds of all the folk of Sandpoint enjoying the festival.

"Festivals are such blissful affairs. And many a more in the years to come Sandpoint!" Lejes says, toasting the town and the Swallowtail Festival itself.

Apologies in the previous post. I hadn't considered, given the context that my perfectly normal use of positional terminology would be interpreted as referring to anatomy....Oops. No intentions of rudeness or offensiveness..just an accident.

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Lejes tilts his head to listen to the speech from Master Drokkus, nodding to himself a bit. His expression turns more serious when Father Zantus takes the rostrum and beings speaking. Lejes then smirks wryly.

"Mistress Mvashti, did you know that Father Zantus once compared me and the boy from the story...I think he had hoped to lead me to Desna in those days." Lejes spreads his hands innocently and grins.."Though just how becoming a butterfly is a great blessing, I fail to understand. Thats not to say that a Goddess such as Desna, in her no doubt infinite wisdom, would not know better than a mere mortal such as myself. I can't imagine nectar alone makes for a decent diet though, I would certainly miss such delicacies as this salmon...its is incredibly tasty, by the way...did you perchance make it, Aylmora?"

Male Half-Elf Oracle of Life 1

Alright folks, looks like I'll need to just jump in, especially since my background coincidentally matches with a few others it seems. Helping to rebuild the Cathedral....and try and remember (I've had to remind myself a few times already)....my character is blind/or nearly so.

Lejes began this day like any other...rising with the first hint of dawn to bathe before seeing to the Shrine of Gozreh. The morning was spent sweeping the shrine, preparing the altar and in silent prayer to the Lord of Wind and Waves. Of course, today was a holy day for Desna...but Lejes would never begrudge anyone their celebrations. His ministrations finished, Lejes took a final walkthrough about the shrine, checking for dust and making certain it was prepared for the many feet that would trod within after the final reconsecration of the Cathdral.

"Everything seems in order. Heh...but then, how good at decorating can they expect a blind man to be?"

Pausing a moment....Lejes sniffs the air appreciatively....

"And that melange of enticing aromas means its nearly time for lunch!"

Smirking to himself, Lejes dons his tunic, ties strips of white linen into his hair to praise Gozreh and then fetches his walking stick, his thickly calloused feet bare for the holiday. Once ready, Lejes heads out into the festival. Almost immediately, his nose leads him to the delectable smelling salmon from the Rusty Dragon. Holding his hands out for a plate, Lejes bows his head with a smirk towards Aylmora.

"Mistress Mvashti, I am not certain what smells more delicious today...the food or your perfume. I trust you are enjoying the festival so far?"

Here is the character Dabbler, for you approval. I posted in the Discussion thread as well.
