With Rapid Reload and Paper Cartridges, (both of which do not work with a revolver) a powder and shot pistol can technically fire more times in a round (that is, unlimited up to the attacker's maximum shots per round) than a revolver. (6 shots, unless you've already fired without reloading)

Ok I am confused. This makes Lightning Reload and advanced firearms for that mater obsolete. Is it possible instead of

Alchemical cartridges

make loading a firearm easier, reducing the time to load a
firearm by one step (a full-round action becomes a standard
action, a standard action becomes a move action, and a move
action becomes a free action

they meant that you can load one barrel each round?

AAAh...OK then my bad. Thank you for the quick reply.

Ok.Here's what I don't understand.

The animal chosen as a mount must be large

At 4th level, a Medium beast rider can also

aurochs, bison, brachiosaurus, elephant, glyptodon,

turtle (giant), tiger, triceratops, or tyrannosaurus as
his mount.

If I'm not mistaken, brachiosaurus and tyrannosaurus, are gargantuan monsters. I mean, doesn't this contradict the large or huge rule?

Also, since we're on the subject, I was wondering if a samurai can choose the Beast rider archetype since he is an alternate class of the cavalier.
If anyone can enlighten me, I would be grateful.

Yeah thats what i thought!! But really, some times I think that having to fight with your players, time and time again, over such matters is the curse the GMs have to bear. Or it might be happening only to me, I dont know! Anyway, thank you very much for the quick answer!!!

Ok here's the problem! I'm running this campaign and one of my players wants to make a multiclass fighter-gunslinger. So far so good. But then he tells me he wants to play holding a gun on one hand and a tower shield on the other. I can see shooting a gun while holding a shield, but wouldn't reloading the gun be a problem? I mean, dont you need two hands to reload the thing? And its not like he wants to use a buckler! The tower shield is a behemoth of a shield and it seems difficult to me, to be able to use your hand for anything else besides holding it in place!! He tells me that its a rational thing to do ( you know,i'll grab the gun with my fingertips and i will load it with the other hand) but I honestly thing its not that easy. . Of course I've been wrong before so if anybody can enlighten me I would be grateful.

What I hope could be addressed is that in those first four levels there is enough interesting deeds to make it compelling to stay with Gunslinger and not go into something like Fighter 4. Somehow those deeds need to be compelling enough that it will override picking up Weapon Focus, Precise Shot, Deadly Aim and Weapon Specialization.

Forgive my ignorance but being a fighter alternate class, doesn't that mean that he has access to weapon specializaton?

As something that started off as a fighter alternative class

Is the gunslinger an "independent" class now?

Again, I'm asking because i cant find a definite answer on if he can take W.S!
