Hi Everyone,

I am currently trying to create stats for a Lich Swarm.

It all started a couple of years ago with my roleplaying Group arguing whether we should continue exploring or return to town and rest, after a near fatal run-in with a rat-swarm. And someone argued: "What's the worst that could happen... A lich swarm?!?"
Obviously it has been a running gag ever since.

We now completed that campaign and I am GMing our new Campaign (Carrion Crown we are currently at the end of book 2, PC Lvl 6 or 7) and I desperatly want to add a Lich Swarm.

However I am a new GM and I don't know how I could start creating a big endboss type of creature, that will challenge high-level PCs, but won't result in a complete party kill.

I am also thinking it would be fun to have a "minor" Lich Swarm for mid-game i.e. end of book 3 (PC level 9), and perhaps a "greater" Lich Swarm for the end of book 6 (PC level 15).

Any help or advice is appreciated and thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I am new here and I hope this is the correct place for my question!

I am currently GMing the Carrion Crown Adventure Path. I imagine, that once we completed book 6 (which will still take a long time), The players might want to continue playing the characters.

Years ago I saw a high level campaign or module with the following story line:
A very powerful Lich is tired of unlive and wants to end his eternal existance. However he doesn't want to just stop existing. He wants to be defeated by a great group of heroes. That is why he contacts the PCs whom he deems worthy of the task.

Now that I am looking for the campaign. In order to perhaps start droping hints about this liches existance, in our current campaign. I can't find the PDF or even the campaign name anywhere.

I know there are other interessting high level modules out there but this specific one would fit my group very well and I can easily see why a lich with a death wish, might contact the PCs after the end of the Carrion Crown.

I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance!
