Do you think a convertion of STAP to 4e could be done?
I realy would like to play it under 4e rules.

I mean if you have so many rule books like I have. Verything original!
The wizards can push his saves to unbelivable high levels so nearly nobody has a chance to win his save. This makes this school so powerfull hit or die (being out of combat) effekt.


I can`t see what my problem is my PC take would take out the taraske easily.
I realy hatte fights at high level in D&D they are so boring. May Pc are just to strong and wenn you give them more enemys they will level up much faster. I can´t see what a mistake I am doing.

I like this!!! But it should change with the DR:

DR 5 : + 1/3 Hp
DR 10: + 2/3 Hp
Dr 15: + 100% Hp
...

Mabye it is a like bit much HP.

But I realy HATTE this fast fights in 3,5!!!!!!!!!!


Nobody does know? No changes planed?
I hoppe they will change something.
In our compain Transmutain was the necromany of the good wizards.
With the change to necromany it looks like this spells will be much overpowerd.


There will be no monster changes? So the fights will end at high levels still in 2 rounds? I`m a little bit disapointed.

This looks ok vor non epic weapons but this could be to much damage for epic weapons:

+6 +21
+7 +28
+8 +36
+9 +45

Then the fights will end in nearly a round I think.

Why not do it like this: Let the DR like it was in 3.5, BUT change some of the DR to /+2 /+3... so the Magic weapons with +X gets more important again but you also need cold iron, silver... So it is a good choice for the players to have a +4 adamantid weapon because he will pass much more DR than the guy with the +1 adamantid flaming-acid-sonic weapon.
You also could add that +x make +2x to damage so a +2 weapon would deal +4 damage.
And you could say more than one extra damge does not work together: so you can`t have a fire + sonic weapon.


I can´t see where the problem is not always having the right weapon. I think there always should be some monsters where the players should think about how to win. And not my +5 weapon can beat everything thats borring. Where is the the problem to have fights which are more interesting becoause a monster have DR or SR? Its just makes fighting more intersting.
And excalibur is not just a boring +5 weapon its an artifact like the one ring. It will have speziel powers like "can overcome any DR" :)


Are there any bigger Monster changes planed? For example make the Taraske stronger that she is a big deal again?

Also the core classes looks to become much stronger so the monsters should do so too.

I think that too its just a damge reduktion not a immunity!!!

In 3.0 were the DR was much higher it was a problem not having the right weapon but not in 3.5. (For example balor: 3.0 DR 30 , 3.5 DR 15)
For a level 20 fighter a DR 15 shold not be so a much problem its just 15 points fewer damge. Per hit this can be 60 points per round, if you always hit. But a level 20 fighter can normaly do around 200 damage per round. So the fight is just getting longer. And the fights in D&D 3.5 were a away to short. The one who winss the Ini had a verry very big advantage for the rerst of the fight becouse he could kill a lot of enemys before
This is one of the few things which looks realy better to me in 4e. Longer combats!


I realy like nearly everthing I have seen yet.
But why change the DR Rules? Now if you have a +2 weapon you can also get around DR/silver und DR/cold iron? Why? Yust make it easier for the Heroes to have the right weapon?
Thats realy lame. There should be some things where the heroes realy get trouble.If you have this rule nobody how has enough money will ever make use of a silver or cold iron weapon. I for myself would let DR like it is. But would change DR/magic zu DR/+1 DR/+2...(like in 3.0) So that the dragons get more evil again :) That you pass through a great wyrms with a +1 magic weapon I had always hates about D&D 3.5 (Yes I houseruled it back to 3.0 :))

Hi I am new here just looking how the new 3.P will look like. What I have seen looks great.
Just have a question will there be any changes to the transmutaion school I think the school is nearly as brocken as the necromany school.
Are there any changes planed? For Example it tooks 2 rounds to become to stone?
