Lawrence's neck twitches as a tremble races from one hand to the other, contracting his finger muscles. "T-t-time t-to head in-nn." The rush from having fired his weapon again was causing him to tic rapidly. After a breath, he steadies his hands and returns to gripping his weapon as he creeps forward.
Lawrence turns to his sister to state matter-o-factly. "In-ter-ior Croc-odile All-i-ga-tor. I drive a Chev-ro-let mo-vie thea-tre.""

A surge of awareness courses through Lawrence's senses.

Lawrence sizes up the new arrival with a cocked head and a piercing gaze. "A-n-nother of the L-Lizard Kings misbe-g-gotten gr-grandchildren attempts to b-balance the scales of his injustice. W-was it you who in-voked his fire?"
"The g-gene-tic s-sorc-cery of the Dragon flows th-through us all n-now." Lawrence turns his head sharply to the explosion."And n-now, it breathes. B-b-be vigilant, Mei."
"Qu-quick draw, qu-quick thinking sister." Lawrence moves to Mei and holds her gaze. "Un-t-tainted for now." His face turns as a screw when he remembers what's become of them. "Less t-tainted, anyway."
Lawrence walks toward Mei, a horrifically beautiful scene of unrestrained bloodlust. Understanding he must stop her, he reaches his hand out toward her. "M-Mei...d-don't let the L-L-Lizards take full control! R-retain restraint! En-gender the resistance, do not fall to the refuse. Y-you cannot s-slip to the c-cold beast w-within!"
Lawrence slithers upright and raises his weapon to fire upon the Sabbat that attacked his sister.
Lawrence slings his rifle and tries to slide down the ladder of the water tower.
Lawrence lays a burst at the Sabbat closest to Sam and Mei.
Lawrence levels a load of lead at the lizard-lady lunging for the lizard-ladies he loves.
Hey, I'm a little unsure of how/when to act for this combat, are we waiting on a player or GM action at the moment?

"I'll w-watch your backs f-from the t-tower, you c-can fall back to it, if they st-start to overrun." Lawrence directs his speech towards Mei and Sam, then looks at his new comrades. "That g-goes for you t-too."
"I h-hear s-someone i-in there." Lawrence points towards the grey ranch house.

"I d-don't need you to t-tell me I was r-right. B-but I do like he-hearing it." Lawrence smiles inwardly and then frowns. "I'm s-sorry I in-volved you. I d-doubt there's a c-cure for us."
"I think w-we sh-should get mov-ing. C-can't let the scales of th-the black h-and snu-ff out our bird." Lawrence looks to the elders, especially Writhe. "A v-van would be n-nice right now.
"The g-ge-netic cock-tail you g-gave would account f-for most of w-what you've de-scribed. Re-gen-eration, c-camou-flage, ev-en p-prim-itive hyp-nosis and hal-lucin-ogens can be f-found among rep-tiles. My own D-DNA has m-mani-fest-ed c-camo, h-heigh-tend sen-ses and s-som-thing else I don't un-der-stand yet."
"T-turn in-to bats?"
"If th-they out-n-number us w-we should k-keep mob-bility. B-but d-decide on a f-fallback. T-turn a buil-ding into a k-killing floor. An Al-amo."

Lawrence appraises the rag-tag group of lizards with guns they don't know how to use, considers offering pointers, but he's not a teacher. The biggest hurdle for him has always been getting people to understand him, still the better they performed the better chance they'd all live.
The military barking needles Lawrence's issues with authority. So he ops to not directly engage. He takes a pistol and some ammo, loading it and getting a feel for the weight. He takes a second pistol and hands it to Mei. "B-better to have o-one. Ev-en if y-you're a bad sh-shot. C-can't punch some-one t-twenty feet a-way."
Lawrence stands uneasily amidst the crowd, glancing from person to person. He shifts his weight from right leg to left, the crease in his black pants following suit. Fidgeting with his rifle, his black leather jacket crinkles with the movement and parts slightly to show the dull green button up he wears underneath. He brushes his left hand through his thick black hair, under his grey beanie. The expression across Lawrence's pale-brown face is of stoic resilience. They cannot break me. Lawrence weighs the scales of his newfound allies. "Too many scales." he concludes aloud.
"It's K-kawai-i De-su ne!" Lawrence forces a fake ha-ha laugh then starts coughing as his stutter interferes with the laugh.
"It w-was like D-denise was loo-king r-right at me. Acc-using. H-had a d-dream about her. A r-red light w-washed over the c-city, t-the people it touched ch-changed, like us. The l-light fell toward her. I d-didn't stop it." Lawrence looks at Mei, reshapes his scowl into a smirk and comments, "N-nice hair." |
