Trying to shake off the aftereffects of his actions, Lavender reaches in a pouch for a small flask.
Without ceremony, Lavender plunges the Sliver into Koliada's unmoving chest.
Lavender unhurriedly moves down the stairs, pulling the artifact out from his robes as he stands over Koliada. "Be ready, old friends."

More annoyed by his spell's backfire than by the damage the troll managed to do, Lavender flings a flurry of force missiles in Koliada's direction.
Pleased with the success of his maneuver, Lavender follows up with another burst of blinding light centered on Koliada, even as he discreetly sidesteps the oncoming troll. Unfortunately, the deva succeeds only in capturing the backlash as she ignores his spell.
Lavender struggles against the cold to gain a better angle, then launches three orbs of force directly at Koliada.
Lavender shakes off the effects of the backfire and climbs the stairs, hoping to get better lines on Koliada, as well as help keep her from her healing source.
Lavender smiles coolly and advances, weaving a pattern of shadows around Koliada, but ends hampering only himself.

Lavender calmly (as always) levels his arm again and burst of brilliant light erupts on the southeastern steps, engulfing Koliada and the ghaele, while leaving Genryu and Lurean untouched -- and, apparently, Koliada and the ghaele as well.
Lavender then reaches under his robes for something and a soft white glow emanates from him, sweeping over Theren, Alasandro, Tavar, and Lurean, energizing them.
Lavender vanishes in a flash of light and re-appears on the main battlefield, beyond the blade barrier. He swings his arm in a great arc, and ice shatters around Koliada and the ghaele.
Tavar: Spoiler: Not that it matters with that roll, but no need to attack T1. It's down for the encounter, getting hit with the blade barrier faster than it's regenerating. Same for T3.
Lav's missile barrage means nothing to Koliada as the Winter Witch ducks contemptuously aside, but his will-sapping follow up is enough to hold both her and the now bloodied troll in place.
Lavender, while planning his next move, takes advantage of Lurean's call to arms to fling a set of force missiles at Koliada.
He then mutters a dark imprecation, and Koliada and the upright troll are rooted where they stand as the deva overcomes their ability to control their movements. T2: ; K: Damage: CRIT

"Koliada, it is time for you to die," Lavender booms and levels an arm at her, orb glowing green. A bright green ray shoots forth at the witch.

Seeing Alasandro in melee, Lavender finally moves into the fray and sends a punishing volley of force bolts at the dazed troll.

Electing to stay on the defensive while recovering from his fumbled attack, Lavender concentrates as his skin turns a grayish cast.

Delighted by his success to date, and determined to help clear the path to the stairs, Lavender sends a burst of light at the dazed, immobilized, treant in the center of the path, while flitting about the edge of the battlefield.
Lavender sends his favored ball of force bouncing among the treants, wreaking damage, especially as it hits the furthest target.
Lavender casts his illusory shadows at the two nearest treants.
Lavender slowly advances and casts a rare incantation, gesticulating precisely. As he ends it, all his allies find themselves hovering a few inches above the treacherous ice.

Spoiler: I don't mind when the terrain constrains the characters. My objection is when out-of-game concerns about map software constrain the characters!
"Ah, a spell I have been working on for just this occasion." Lavender stands back and traces with his finger a rectangle the size of a large doorway. When he is done, it glows momentarily. He reaches forward, and opens what is now a finely carved wooded door. "We will be safe from the elements -- and other things -- in here." He gestures his friends inside. Beyond the door, all can see a well-appointed mansion. "This will not be detectable once we are in, and I assure you it is quite warm."
Lavender merely steps back from the iceling and hurls a quartet of force missiles at it. This serves at best as a distraction as he further withdraws, letting his comrades deal with the creature.
Genryu, Rev Spoiler: Not that it make much difference in this case, but stunned characters don't get immediate actions
Lavender finally reveals his talent as an alchemist and pulls two small flasks from his pockets and hurls them at the dragon, leaving the beast burning from both flame and acid.
Lavender casts a swift spell, inuring his nearby allies against the worst of the cold. He then vanishes from next to the iceling and reappears on the far side of the dragon, casting yet another little-used spell, this one intended to take control of the dragon's flight, and catch one of the icelings as well.
Attempting a rather tricky evocation, Lavender works to clear the battlefield and at the same time to slow down the threat of the great dragon, but the results are decidedly unimpressive.
Lavender attempts a new spell he has been honing, but not yet put into practice, gambling much on his insight into the ice creatures' inability to see through his shadows.
