![]() For his turn, Lefty casts Haste, affecting up to 18 people. The party, naturally, and any other people nearby who want to fight, or run away. +30 speed, +1 to hit and AC, +1 extra attack on a full attack. That should help, he mutters. Looks like these guys have things under control. ![]()
![]() My most fun character was Lothorian Sativa, a high elf living in Waterdeep in A 2e game, decades ago. He was a Magic User 11/Thief 13 when the campaign ended. The only arcane caster or thief in the party. That gave him a lot of face time. Now, I play a lot of arcane tricksters, as a tribute to the original. Even wrote a guide. ![]()

![]() I'm a spellcaster, primarily. An evoker with quite a few potent blasts ready to go. On his last mission, Lefty wasn't the main wizard-type. He knows the spells to play that role, but he may need a day to prep Haste, Displacement, etc. ![]()

![]() "Panty sniffer."LOL! Seeing the tall tiefling and another elf, Lefty figures they're adventurers from the look of them. He walks right up and introduces himself. He's a fairly typical looking elf. Tall, with blond hair. He wears a cloak with a star-covered robe. Greetings! I just got here and I'm curious as to what in the hells happened to this place. You folks look like you might know. The name's Latharien, but you can call me Lefty, he says, the rapier on his right hip suggesting that he's aptly nicknamed. ![]()

![]() Arriving in Sandpoint: Latharien checked and double checked his gear, making sure he had all he needed. Having only heard that something was going down in Sandpoint, but not knowing what it was, he needed to be ready for anything.
He put on his spell component and dagger belt, then his baldric, which held his favorite new item; his rapier, named "Hornet," a gift from Queen Telandia Edasseril herself. Finally, he donned his haversack and cloak to complete his traveling ensemble. Please be sure to water the plants, he said to his housekeeper, Idra. Not sure when I'll be coming back. Bye! Good bye, sir, and good luck, she responded. The young wizard first cast Mind Blank on himself. No need to attract any enemies while he's out. Lefty then used his ring to make himself invisible, then cast a spell, a single word of power, that instantly teleported him from the veranda of his modest lakeside villa in Erages to the outskirts of Sandpoint, sight unseen. So this is Sandpoint, he muttered, to no one in particular. The recent destruction hadn't been cleaned up, yet. It was pretty torn up. The queen's orders were simple: Find out what's causing all the tumult, see if it could negatively affect Kyonin in any way, and deal with it if necessary. Business as usual, he sighed. He then made himself visible and walked into town, looking for a tavern and hopefully a bottle of good wine. ![]()

![]() I'm bringing Lefty down from his earlier highest level and higher stats. If it looks like he's got too much skill points, treasure, etc., I'm just not done adjusting it. I sorta like the idea that we don't know each other, though we've probably heard of each other and may have shared a few adventures in the past, given our level. ![]()
![]() questions: What would you rather play: A slightly modified high level module like WarWitch legacy or the Moonscar, a modified end of an Adventure path such as Rise of the Runelords, or a short original adventure written by a guy that you have no idea if he is any good at that sort of thing or not? I'd go for Moonscar or the homebrew, since I'm not familiar at all with either. Your character walks into a bar. What is the first thing they do? He'd order a bottle of the best wine in the house and a glass. Lefty's a bit of a wine snob. Your character learns that an evil wizard is gathering power to try and invade the country that is the enemy of your native homeland. No one else seems to notice or care. What do you do? He'd tell Queen Telandia. She knows him well, and she'd listen. Your ally is on the ground unconscious and bleeding out. Standing 5 ft behind their body is a Gargantuan Great Wyrm Black Dragon. You are 35 ft away, and it is your turn. What do you do (with rolls please!) He'd already be invisible, and most likely flying. Lefty would cast Time Stop, pick up his friend, and use his Robe of Stars to whisk her/him away into the astral plane. There, he would use his wand of CLW to get the friend conscious and able to fight. Then, they'd plot their revenge. You are given 30,000G. However with it you can only buy 1 non magical thing from Ultimate Equipment. You simply get 30,000G worth of that thing. What do you choose? Easy. Wine! He'd go for the finest available, and put 2000 bottles of it in his wine cellar. He should live long enough to drink it all, if he paces himself. ![]()

![]() OK. Lefty will have to do another solo recon. He just doesn't have the spells to bring Flori along yet. He'll start with Darkvision (6 hours), then go invisible before entering the bar (6 minutes). He'll then cast Gaseous Form (repetitive, I know) and get as far as he can into the secret tunnel and find out where it goes.
