Interesting, reference from which Book?. I didn't read anywhere in Edge rule that Edge limited how much Effort you can expand (simply that it reduced the cost by 1 per Edge you have. I also read in the main rule book that the first effort you spend adds 3 points to the roll, additional effort reduces the DC by a step or adding to the stat rolls.

Larsis activates and throws his Detonation Cypher up at the Pallones. Spending 9 Effort of Speed. -3 Difficulity steps Speed: 1d20 + 3 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 3 + 3 = 14 dealing Effect: 1d100 ⇒ 47 Heat Drain (Cold based Damage Effect)level: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

larsis puts everything he can think of into tossing the cypher to hit as many of the remaining Pallones as he can, either to kill or drive them off.

I havnt even looked through the books recently, I will brush up on things myself. ive never played this before, my brother did show the game to me but we never even made characters. Thank you spinnindice for picking things up, I had been enjoying myself here with all of you.

My apologies for some reason I wasn't seeing new posts in this thread and a couple of others. I don't know why.

Damage 1 (Verried is a light weapon if I recall correctly)

Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Trained in all defensive skills. Larsis dives at Kwiz hopefully knocking Kwiz out of the reach of that strange creature, Larsis tries his best to physically put himself between the creatures attack and that silly Kwiz hes been trying to figure out.

Not familiar enough with rules as to what I would need to roll to accomplish this task, but I am his body guard, it is my duty.

Larsis keeps his shield readied and varried lowered but not sheathed, he is clearly in a defensive stance.

Keeping his shield and varied at hand Larsis trots up to the front left of the group.

This was my action.. a Defensive action, intercept attack from Scutimorph with shield, parry with Verred.

Seeing that his blade is to light to pierce the thick hide of this Scutimorph. Larsis sheaths his rapier drawing instead the Blued Steel Verred. Larsis sets himself into a defensive stance with the shield at ready and the Verred out and ready to parry whatever the Scutimorph does next round.

initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 14 I interspace myself between Kwiz and this big ol scutimorph with my shield at the ready, I stab out with my GlasSteel Rapier: 1d20 ⇒ 16 for 2 if I connect.

I did not, sorry I don't know why I didn't. I give it to Jake Dash for being the first person to step up and start the defensive line, before the kids and their "friend" arrived.

I go to follow Patal, standing to the left of Jake as we fall into a loose formation.

Nodding in respect at the gals decision larsis sheaths his blade and turns towards Kwiz"shall we accompany him?"

Larsis steps to the Laris's other side shield up cuz this is just one HUGE beasties.. and hes really confused about the kids riding it.

that said Larsis steps out and draws his rapier made a strange glass like substance, it seems to glint in the sunlight. Larsis keeps the shield readied and blade lowered off to his side.

Larsis ready's his shield and steps the mouth of the cairn preparing to step outside and draw his blade if need be.

Looking at the rest gathered, it seems fate has conspired to change what would have been a strange night of trying to figure the meaning behind his bosses words. There are so many people here, most then he has delt with for the past couple months.

Coming in behind a few steps behind Kwiz'mie his body guard stumbles. He has big shield strapped to a pack on his back that is bulging with all sorts or tools and half finished gadgets, packs of tools hang from the outside of it. A couple blades hang from his hips unbound but sheathed.

As he passes the entrance to the Cairn he removes his bandana touches his head to the one of the jaws and mumbles something under his breath. That hurries to the strange man that he has chosen to serve while he figures out his next great project.

"Ask the Bones what they think this means. I am so simple, that I can only point. Yet I guide men all over the world."

Looking at the others as he sets down his pack.

Even though the peace of the cairn should grant safety Larsis possisitions himself so that he can keep an eye on the others gathered, an eye on Kwiz'mie, and an eye upon the entrance. As he awaits a response.

None of this has shown up as new. I didn't see this until I check your interest thread. I am here and ready.

Anything you wish. I have an gift or curse depending on how one looks at it that lets me pick up any skill for 28 hours, one day. a different choice every day.

I am skilled in all things to do with metallurgy and all physical defensive tasks, so I would suggest something made of metal.. but raw says any common type 2 or less item that I can make. and since I can use that Anyskill ability to take craft:anything. It can literally be anything you want. Its pretty vague I know.

I think things are going to get vary confusing with Laris D'Vange and myself Larsis having so vary similar names.

Edit: Though as she is female and I am not, perhaps not. Coming to think of it, perhaps it IS because of the similar names we are both here. Perhaps we should bind together?
