Thanks. Maybe next time.

DM Feral, if you're still looking for another player, I wouldn't mind transcribing my information onto my profile.

I'm in a class, at the moment, but can move everything over this evening (Korea time zone).

Using a Masterwork Buckler would be a shield with a Armor Check Penility of 0... and the penility for using a shield with no proficiency would be to take the ACP (that is '0') as a penility to a lot of skills and attacks and,... well a -0 doesn't hurt much. And yes, the shield extract does not stack with it, but the buckler is always on, even in the surprise round, and doesn't use up an extract slot... It's an old wizards trick.

Good luck with the Alchemist! maybe we'll be able to play together and swap formulas! (my current low level alchemist is named "Bic")

Another awesome thing about wearing a buckler is getting to armor-enchant twice using lower levels. Adding a buckler +1 instead of enchanting from +1 to +3 (same AC) saves you almost 8,000gp.

Too bad I'm going to have to sell my darkwood "buckler" and buy a plain old MW buckler. At least I didn't get around to enchanting it, yet!

Grenadiers are pretty sweet but I feel like combining the free Martial Weapon Proficiency with Elven Proficiencies is a waste (unless you plan to go ECB/melee).

That's why my elf alchemist is a preservationist (well, that and getting to throw stirges at folks).

The Exchange

Clerics are pretty good for the "well rounded" thing.

Me, I'm an elf Preservationist Alchemist. Also, with no real use for Spell Penetration, I've got envoy to give me some useful SLAs.

Trust me! There's not much to which I can't contribute.

The only thing I DISLIKE about Alchemist is the poor will save. It's rough being very good at a lot things and then...getting dominated.

Agreed. Using a Trait and a Feat to shore up my Will Save is quite a tax. So far I've only paid the Trait portion of that tax; I don't want to give up my feats!

You can always do scenarios from earlier. It isn't perfect for continuity, but you can "go back in time," so to speak, and play earlier scenarios despite having played First Steps and having been introduced to Faction Leaders who weren't around back then.

If the players belong to factions that didn't exist, yet, they "default" to other factions for purposes of Prestige Points. For instance, I, Lanlis, have completed a few pre-season 3 scenarios but take my orders from the Sczarni. When there aren't Sczarni missions, I just do Taldor missions. (Who does what missions is explained in the PFS Guide)

Haha, yeah. I'm currently filling the void with summons a la Preservationist archetype. I'm probably going to pick up Rapid Shot earlier, to maximize Fast Bombs out of the box. It will also give me an extra arrow per round if I feel the need to use mundane weaponry.
