![]() Faster than ought to be possible, Lankesh reaches out and stabs Pratavh in the kidney as the wizard backs away...
Realizing he's flanked, Lankesh steps NE and unleashes his fury on Lilly! She misjudges his reach as he sneaks a dagger past her guard, drawing a line in blood along her exposed chest. His second swipe is checked by a defensive block from her morningstar!
Mohktar gets a shot a the retreating Lankesh since that's not a 5' step.

![]() Lankesh points at Pratavh, enraged by the party's behavior, and mutters a guttural incantation. A streak of something liquid, something that burns shoots out to strike his shoulder!
Lankesh then advances into range of Pratavh and snarls! COMBAT ORDER - Round 2 wrote:

Bluff: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29 As if eager to get this over with, Lankesh ascends the stairs several steps at a time. Suddenly he turns and the room is filled with a thunderous report and the smell of ozone as lightnings fly from his outstretched fingers! His whole visage shimmers revealing a hideous batlike face atom a powerfully built frame with backward-bending fingers which leaves little doubt as to Lankesh's fiendish nature. Bluff - I'm not preparing to attack, honest!: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30

The eyes gave it away, you sense roiling anger beneath Lankesh's otherwise cool exterior. Mohktar: As Lankesh takes you to the servant's quarters, you notice Lankesh's fingers interlace in a strange way as he holds his hands behind himself. At the very least he's double jointed... ![]()

Oh you mean my manservant, Hendrick's sword. He treated it terribly which upset our volatile Mr Mekhar no doubt. I'm afraid Hendrick is out of town right now, although I expect him back in a few days. I couldn't tell you where the sword is now, although I did suggest he throw it away and get something sturdier as befits his temperament. Shouldn't really use a sword for swatting bugs even if they are big and hairy... Secret DM rolls:
1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30 Sense Motive DC 30: You think Lankesh was surprised by your request and you're not convinced he's been entirely truthful. You've never heard of him having a manservant before. ![]()

Vudrani:
You are here at the Thakurs request? I find that most unlikely... Is this some kind of sick joke?! Look I'm busy, I don't know anything about any murders. Secret DM rolls:

![]() You knock on the door and from within you hear a deep male voice call out, "Enter, the door is unlocked." You open the well oiled door which soundlessly opens to reveal a long corridor with plain albeit expensive wallpaper and a tasteful carpet. Standing just inside is a well-built Vudrani male with a beaklike nose, thick eyebrows, and a shaven head. He sports fashionable clothes and is clean shaven, with a traditional henna head tattoo to celebrate the season. He looks you up and down snootily and with slightly bored drawl he tells you, "Āpa mujhē kō'ī dilacaspī nahīṁ bēca rahē haiṁ jō kucha bhī" before folding his arms. Vudrani:
