Checking in, thanks for picking me!
Looking forward to this and curious how it will go.

I do have discord.

Here we go.

Lalali-Re is a scion of an old azlanti bloodline, who wants to raise the empire again.
While disliking the demons, she dislikes others even more and to further her goals has been conspiring and worshipping with cultists of Nurgal, Yamasoth and others. Currently she favors Areshkagal.

Unfortunately Lalali-Re has been caught - nearly succesfully - scheming to overthrow the current major and commander of Kenabres, inciting an rebellion against them and driving various political ploys simultaniously, all with the goal to put herself into that position.
The corrupt crusaders and noble weaklings of the city were all but some more than willing to play along, some because they secretly are demonic cultists themselves, others only to gain more personal power.
Sadly it failed ultimatively, due to some foolish goodie two shoes paladins with nothing better to do in live.
Now she resides in prison, contemplating her next moves, if she gets a chance before they hang her or worse.

This will be a switch hitting character, able to stand in melee and dish out good damage, but also have some spells from inquisitor and good face skills.
Definitely out of my comfort zone and something new and different to play for me.

Thanks for running so far. Maybe we can pick this back up at some point in the future.

Glad you're well and alive^^
This year has been straining so far.
Let's hope it gets better.

Yes, that is oddly suspicious and stupid at the same time. Except he plans to poison us or something else.

Lalali inspects the body, hoping to learn how he died and when.
kn:local: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Oh no Silas Weatherbee! Why did Rayland Arkley do it? Betray you like that? Was he mad? Or maybe sick? What happened to the other people in the village? And what happened to you after you got away? How did you die?

Lalali, still dry heaving and leaning on the doorframe, seems to be too sickened to be really bothered by the ghost.
She might not really have realized what's going on in the room, still a bit bend over facing the floor, in case she hasn't finished emptying her stomach yet.

How terrible! Why would he do that, betray you like that? And who was he? And who are or were you by the way? Let me help you! Tell me all that happened and guide me on how to help you best!

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 2 = 24

Who? Who did what? Who murdered you and how did you get into that compartment? What happened here anyway? Help us bury you so you can find peace!

Still heaving and seeking support from the doorframe, Lalali shouts at the apparition.

Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Told you we best clean the place and bury them outside somewhere! Blaarghh....
Lalali stands in the doorway, wiping her mouth and spitting to the side.

kn:religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Lalali seems still to be... distracted.

Ewww disgusting.

Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Lalali suddenly becomes very pale after opening the compartment firsthand.
There...there's someone in there. Or what's left of them.

Then she turns and quickly runs out of the building.
Seconds later you can hear a suspicious noise.
Bllleeeeerghh......blluuurghhh...uh..

Mh that could be difficult. Most goblins are just nasty little nuisances. Good point about the bodies though. I mean at least there should be some bones or something left of them. Like this there is hope they could actually be alive. Perhaps the village was raided and they were taken as slaves or hostages by someone? Or lured away somehow?

Well i brought a bow. Found it has quite it's uses on land or ship to ship situations. In water i prefer my spear though.

I'm not too sure about taking something from a temple, but i guess it should be allright when done with a pure heart. And we aren't really looting the place, more trying to give it back it's grace. Perhaps we should make a prayer to old deadeye though.

Lalali tries to open the secret sliding panel, but not before checking for traps...
Perception: 1d20 + 10 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 10 + (4) = 17
Disable Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

The bow isn't just an ornament. You think we should take it and put it to use? Maybe Erastil would agree. Especially if we use it to revenge the demise of the place i guess.

Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

I'll take your word on it, looks messy enough. This probably was supposed to be a temple of Erastil i guess. Won't hurt if we clean and repair it a little. After all we are in some backwaters here, which are his territory.

Lalali begins to set the benches right again and clean the place out, so it can regain some of it's dignity.
She also brushes away dust and dirt on the statues and wherever she can, further examining everything as well as the bow on the wall.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Let's give it a try then. I don't expect anything but trouble from him either, but just in case this weird looking goblin turns out to be a source of wisdom or viable information.

Lalali looks puzzled at the bearded guy.
I see.

You think that would be worthwhile?

Maybe we should gather up the stuff and then look after the rest. There's most likely more goblins...

A whole tribe of goblins might be threat enough for a young colony like this. Or at least add enough threat to something else. Let's look after the others and search on!

One tough goblin, like a pest! Dare to raise your spear against me? I'll put an end to that!

Elven Spear: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 = 81d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 3 + (3) = 9

I'm not sure how accurate the map is, but i assumed i have the spear in hand and will go by theatre of mind right now, taking minor liberties. If wrong please correct. Also i decided to mark speech in goblin by using the quotation system, looks a bit more elegant i think, not perfect though. What does everyone think?

Lalali is faster than the goblin, her spear already in hand, she tries to stab him, her feet gliding over the floor in a stance used to stand firmly on reeling decks positioning him between her and Vigny.

In Goblin wrote:
That's a bad decision, at least for you. I had hoped to avoid that!

Elven Spear: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 241d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 3 + (4) = 12 Possible +2 for flanking?

AoO if he moves: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 201d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + (2) = 7 Possible +2 for flanking?

Mh the settlers went crazy and fought themselves? That sounds weird. Something must be very wrong here.

In Goblin wrote:
Put down your sword. We will not attack unless you attack. Can you tell me more about the pink faces? Do you know why they went crazy? It's probably not safe here for your tribe, you will probably go crazy yourself if you stay here.

That one is clearly the bad cop in any scenario... Lalali remarks to her comrades.

Then she turns to the goblin and answers him in his language as well.

Goblin:
Ghosthaters, is that you clan? What's your name? What do you do here? How became this your place and where did the longshanks go? Answer quickly, i can only hold the other one so long.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Hearing Nezianas loud remark Lalali turns around to where she last saw her stand, just in time to see her rush towards a house.
She approaches it herself as well.
I speak that language!

Lalali shrugs her shoulders, grips her spear firmly and follows.
While the others just walk straight towards the village, she tries to remain as unseen as possible and not make a lot of noise.
Why don't you sound a horn to announce our arrival? Maybe we should be a bit more careful and silent.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

If it's alone, that is. Let's get ashore. Some of you seem a bit uncomfortable on water.
Lalali smiles.

Any plan on how we want to approach this? Split up and search the premise? Perhaps we can do teams of two and stay in sight.

Lalali - after obviously briefly considering going after the gremlin to see what's under the dock - watches it return and approach the boat in amazement, then decides to swim back as well, which she does with unusual grace and speed.

Splashing up next to the boat, she wipes back her hair out of her face with one hand.
What's going on? There's a sea gremlin who might have eaten whoever was in that boat and it ... oh there it is already.

Lalali casualy cleans her spear after taking care of the grindylow.
Land goblin, sea goblin, doesn't matter to me. A just don't lik'em.

After seeing the colony and the canoe in the water she remarks.
Mh noice place. Looks quite peaceful, but apparantly beauty is only skin deep.
She then jumps into the water after Darvan, gliding to the sea bottom like a seal.

kn:nature: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

According to the wayfinder Lalali doesn't need food or water.

Yeah i posted it proactively, should have written that. I reckon to get one once they move in, unless they don't^^

Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 = 201d8 + 3 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 + (4) = 16

I reckon they are flat-footed because we act first in the first round of combat.

Lalali stabs at the first one in her reach with her spear.

Just do it.

Lalali points at the shadow moving underwater.
Well over yonder is a big enough shadow underwater to be spotted moving towards us. Which is beginning to concern me, hope it's not some big fish or monster trying to topple the boat!

Can we make out how big it is, the vague shape and how fast it is moving towards us? Ramming speed?

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Something being in the water isn't really unusual, but something approaching a boat like that certainly isn't most usual. Watch out, i can't see what it is yet.
Lalali grabs her spear tight, but also holds onto the boat.

Well after buying those 2 wands i have 252gp left. I bought them for 375gp each though like described above.
Can contribute some for lesser restoration if needed. Our warpriest does get that spell though.

Mh nice, my kn:history is then +11.
I'm really fine with the wayfinders. Cool items after all!

With the rich parents trait i can buy those wands.
Thought endure elements would come in handy as well.
We need someone to operate them other than me over the first few levels though, since i can't do it reliably - yet.

Why so insistent on the splash attacks?
I could trade evasion for another archetype, which gives me a bonus on craft alchemy and lets me deal sneak attack + INT mod with splash weapons. I doubt that splash weapons are effective underwater though, hence i question this a bit.

A wand of a modified burning hands (turned into another element) or a similar spell might be more effective perhaps.

Mh. So i get this:
Jatambe’s Wayfinder: Scarlet and Blue Sphere (Ioun Stone) - '+2 Int & +3 Know HX, Clear Spindle (Ioun Stone) - No food or water, Pink Rhomboid (Ioun Stone) - '+2 Con.?
And the bonuses from the Ioun Stones?
What does knowledge HX mean anyway?

I'm willing to spend some money, yes! Rich parents!

Wait a moment, do we get all the boni listed in the traits wayfinder section?

Well depending on how things fare i can imagine playing a different character later on - perhaps.
Sorcerer or witch with Pathfinder Chronicler or Savant. Got some good ideas there.

There's a lot of classes at work here i don't really know.
Seems like there are only 3 original Paizo classes? Rogue, warpriest and archeologist bard?
Hence i have the impression we don't have a lot of magics at all.

I might take master craftsman and craft something later, although per rules i could not craft wands that way and i have an archetype where i can use wands really good over sleight of hands later on.
The archeologist bard and me - the rogue - seem to have some overlap as well, so maybe we want to coordinate things there a bit.

I'll also be getting minor and major magic rogue talents at some point for utility.
With the infamous rich parents trait someone could buy a wand right from the start i guess, which could make a lot of sense.
Cooperation is easily justifiable, especially in Andor.

Gear from the Pathfinder trait is the wayfinder?

If the non-Paizo classes could give a short description what they actually do, that would be nice.
I know warder i.e. has those maneuvers and is a more defensive melee character, right?

Yes Madame, you can count on us. Or on me at last. We will find out what happened there and see if there are any survivors, and if possible eliminate or at least determine the threat.

But perhaps you should give us those coordinates as well, so we can rejoin later.

Outfitted with light leather armor, a thin blade more suited for thrusting, a slender spear and a shortbow, Lalali-Re lounged lazily on the deck so far.
Her long black hair blowing in the wind, she stretches and yawns as she stands up.
Are we there yet? Or do you bode ill news?

Here's my Pathfinder Delver Rogue!

Definately been fun playing with you! Thanks for doing your best!

I'm traveling, hence my lousy posting lately.

Sad to see this go, since it lasted quite some time, but lately it also had the speed of a salted slug. Too many group changes probably.

Maybe in another game!

I'll be traveling with limited access for a couple of days.

Also sorry, didn't realize that.

Lalali stumbles around blindly, rubbing her eyes and panic in her face, as she was just wounded without knowing from where she was attacked.

for save : 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Spellcraft for Spell id: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29

What? Oh no! Everything is dark!

Lemme guess, blindness?

Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Lalali moves so she has both of them in a line and then unleashes a lightning bolt on them, concentrating her arcane power into it, while she speaks in a hissing voice to the snake:
You chose the wrong company...
Lightning Bolt DC 21: 6d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 6, 2, 3) + 6 = 24

Are you sure he isn't roasted already? I hope he can still talk and remember something and isn't completely crazy. These apes are quite malicious.

Now that looks bad. Can you heal burns Hindi?

Dang i posted that i scorching ray that guy from the train! I mean the ape.

Do i see this right, there is only one ape left standing?
