Lajara moves to Elyas, guarding the fallen, but unsure how to help. If it weren't for needing to care for him and the magic that weighs upon her, she would have considered attacking Degara outright. But not with the current circumstances.
Vengeful Strike:

Lajara turns and moves to attack Halk, if only to defend Elyas.
Lajara lunges at the fleeing Korred. She hears Dearga's shout and smiles, hoping Halk finishes her before they have to deal with her.

Lajara growls and moves to stand beside Carthas, taking a swing at the korred smith.
Lajara shifts diagonally and lunges at the Korred overtop the stone, another feral snarl escaping her lips.
Lajara holds a hand aloft, with a flick the raises one finger; flick two fingers, flick, three fingers and with a wave she grasps the hilt of her curveblade and moves into the room around a stone block to strike at a korred. A feral snarl escapes her lips as she swings.

Lajara stays silent, happy to let the others deal with Dearga. The time for battle draws near and she readies herself for the fight.
Lajara will continue up, unless someone (friend) or something (foe) stops her.
Lajara points up towards the stairs, then over to the shape, and then waves her hand side to side with palm up, asking the group which way they want to go; she also points to herself and points up, indicating her preference.
Laraja continues down the hallway slipping like a snake, a silent predator ready to strike the unwary.
Lajara puts a finger to her lips and waves them past the room; once around the corner she whispers her plan.
Lajara, move to behind Charles. I have no healing, so let me to go first. I have not yet taken an enemy's blade. If Charles allows, she will move up as quietly as she can.
Otherwise, she will follow Charles up the stairs.
Seems like a good plan!
A months rations for the refugees here, I guess... Lajara grabs some food, filling a pouch and stuffing her mouth. She passes food to Ciero as soon as he mentions needing to eat. No, we have few allies, but the stable is safe. Hide in the loft, I did and am still here. She tries to smile at the halfling, hoping to lift his spirits. Some found her smiles, unnerving.
Lajara scowls at Elyas, I told you there was a dragon when we met.
As she waits for Ciero's reply, she begins examining the boxes and crates, looking for food, as she is still half starved and hoping that they have food stuffs, being below the kitchen. We officially have a den, to rest in and gather our pack, then we will hunt down the Ironfang, preying on those separated from the herd. Time to grow strong. Time for me to stop hiding and fight back. We still have the redcaps to deal with. All of them need killed. Lajara adds as she rummages through the crates and barrels.
Upon hearing "rangers", Lajara addresses Cireo, Do any rangers still live? What happened? She points her sword to the dead, to clarify she wants to know what happened to them.

No. We're not. Lajara moves to check the corpses. Are these the rangers? Dead all? She wonders as she silently checks. She looks to Elyas, Can you tend to him? she asks as she continues her inspection.
Mithril hairbrush. Funny. Lajara says flatly as she wipes her blade clean. It is hard to tell, but she seems genuine in her statement.
She swings at the creature as it rushes in, then again as its hair wraps around her, a sensation she finds disconcerting and slightly disgusting. She focuses her energy on her swordwork.

Lajara moves in beside Charles, continuing to wait for an attack from either side to act.
Lajara's previous rush to join combat has tempered her actions here, she waits to follow Charle's lead, charging in and attacking if he attacks or waits if he or the others talk. Her hands rest on the hilt of her curveblade, her muscles tensed, like a coiled snake.
Lajara nods agreement with Carthas and moves to follow Charles.
Lajara shrugs, Ally and enemy is all a matter of timing. They are not our enemy now, so no need to fight now. Let us go free the rangers at strength. She nods in the direction Charles moved.

Pardon then, hold and we shall pass at peace! Lajara raises a hand up, while simultaneously lowering her weapon in a single hand, signaling for her allies to hold their attacks.
Lajara continues to face the pair with her sword low, and her free hand raised to indicate her intent to move on peacefully.
Does Lajara recognize the creatures?
She turns back to the others and hold up two fingers, gestured to their direction, and mouths the type of creature if known. On the general assumption that they are not friendly, she slips in the door and begins moving forward, trying to throw them off guard by joining the conversation.

Have you thought of going vegetrian? When she reaches them she will attack the one in front of her.
Lajara waits for someone to lead her to the dungeon, first things first; rescue the rangers, and then worry about the redcaps.
Lajara nods to Elyas, as he seems to be the spokesman for the group, they will agree and then go to the dungeon, at which point, she raises an important question...
Lajara waits until Elyas pulls them together. No sense fighting them all by ourselves if we can get them to fight each other before we kill her. If she could take the first drinker on her own, she wouldn’t need us. Get the rangers first; and explain the centaur to me if we are alive after.. Lajara assumes they will ultimately have to fight her.

Well, this is going downhill fast, but I do agree with Elyas; and am curious about the answer-perhaps we can learn something useful. Lajara thinks to herself, as her hand comes to rest upon the hilt for her curveblade.
Lajara waits to take her cue from the rest of the party.And simply stands ready to attack, defend or talk as the rest see fit. Seeing the creature, does she recognize anything additional about redcaps?
I like the blizzard snowfall - add an element (environment) not always included! @Carthas I can take up stabbing things if your concept was more bomb throwing alchemist; go for it.
Where fist? Lajara looks out into the white swirling flakes in the general directions she thins the towers are...
Lajara joins Taidel and Carthas in the doorway, looking out over the new fallen snow. She scans it for any signs of tracks or other recent activity, knowing that the falling snow would quickly cover tracks, squinting through the gray haze the snowfall is creating, but enjoying teh quiet it brings.
What is the plan? she asks those assembled, eager to get moving and to see who speaks for the group.
Thank you Carthas!! - yes, she is ranger with 2h combat style; archetypes that eliminate spell casting and animal companion; so she is focused on swordplay.
Also playing her 10 charisma up with the short verbal answers.
Suviving was luck, not skill Lajara nods her head towards the horseshoes. I have no idea what may be lurking here. Trying to steal some food from the fey, and retreating here when noticed is all I have done. She sheathes her sword and waves for the newcomers to join her in the stable loft.
She raises her sword in a casual salute to the new man to join the conversation. Come into the stable. The fey don’t like the horseshoes, or what they are made of - whatever- we are safe here. If you have food to share, I will help stand watch so the casters can rest.

Have you cleared the Fort Ristin of its infestation? For Carthas: You may notice she has a set of elven weapons - wielding a curveblade, has a thornblade and leafblade.
The half-elf raises a sword almost as long as she is tall to her shoulders, hilt facing you, blade parallel to the ground. The sword is long slender and graceful. She holds the hilt with both hands, as she slides her left leg forward, the ball of her foot plants... most sellswords, simply square their feet and prepare to cleave up and down, but this fighting style is different.
