Is anyone else looking at converting PF prestige classes over to Starfinder? My group saw the preview a year ago when it was advertised as backwards compatible, and we didn't bother keeping up with it until this month. Seeing it's more of it's own game has burned some of the excitement away from my players.
The game hasn't been out long, but does anyone think converting some of the more basic prestige classes would shatter balance? Eldtrich Knight, Arcane Trickster, Assassin, Duelist, etc? My Soldier wants to feel more like a ME Vanguard, and Phrenic Adept is pretty lackluster. The Operative wants to work with Technomancy as well. Etc etc.
Interest in SF versions of Umbral Agent, Dragon Disciple, and Agent of the Grave have been given, but I want to wait on those. Especially DD, now that stats look like they're going lower.
Thoughts from anyone who has done in-depth reading would be great. I think if Prestiging is too imbalanced, we're going to stick with the Star Wars Saga editon; the group liked PF because it was basically 3.5, and they really just wanted laser guns and space ships alongside alien druids and Lightsaber-using Paladins. I don't want to waste the Starfinder book after buying it.
Thanks!
