Poorly done, Paizo, changing the release date the day it's supposed to come out?

They did put out word about a week and a half ago that there were delays.

They did not actually get this page updated until late on the 24th though. So not like it was an attempt to pull a fast one on anyone, but definitely frustrating. I was absolutely hoping maybe the pdf would briefly go on sale before someone caught it. But I have waited 8 months for this book I can wait one more week.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Is it the intention that a fight against Golarion's Finest is basically unwinnable?

They are 8 level 12 creatures. By the encounter building math even if the PCs are near the end of their stay and already 14th level that is an extreme level encounter that seems very likely to be impossible. If the PCs are level 12 or 13 then it is just a massacre waiting to happen.

I know it is not out of the realm of possibility for the PCs to lose a round here or there on their climb to the top but it seems like the only good use of Golarion's Finest is if the PCs seem like they are steamrolling and need to be brought down a peg.

For that matter Golarion's Finest could probably destroy any other listed team in the tournament, how on Earth do you explain that they do not even make top 8?

Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

A question about Troff's Icicle Gouge strike on page 43.
It reads
Melee -> icicle gouge +28 (agile, backstabber, finesse, unarmed), Damage 2d8+13 piercing plus 1d6 cold and Trip.

Should the capital T Trip be Knockdown as the usual creature ability?
The Trip action does not make sense in that context, neither does the trait and those are the only rules about Trip that I can seem to find.

Looking ahead the Canopy Elder's root strike from the next book (pg 78) does the same thing. Am I just missing something? Thanks.

I am late to the party but I am reading through book 3 now and I am mightily confused about the stairs behind the secret door in A3. It claims on that map that they go to B21, but the next map clearly shows them connecting to B22.

Neither the text for B21 or B22 seem to reference the stairs at all so I am having a hard time figuring out where they are supposed to lead. Any ideas on what to do with the stairs? I have to imagine their placement can pretty heavily impact how going down them plays out.

Incredibly excited to see this news! One of my favorite podcasts of all time. I hope everyone will go check em out!

So... What happens if any of the slain graveknights regenerate before finishing book 4? To my understanding, is possible for a graveknight to res only a day later. I find it hard to believe that these graveknights would just sit back and chill after being murdered by agents of Arazni. Is this just a instant of fudging the rolls as a DM so that doesn't happen?

Though kind of implied, nothing in Graveknight rules seems to say they must be wearing their special armor at all times. Given the comparison to phylacteries I imagine one could do something similar where the armor itself is safely hidden in case something goes wrong. In case any of my players question it I am planning on having it so that Geb(the ghost), not wanting to risk his powerful generals, sent them north with replacement armor while their Graveknight armor stays safely back in Geb (the country) in case they fail he can have them try again (Though not in this AP given travel time).
