Lod shrugs and looks to his fellow agents. "Well, we know what our next stop is. As for these," he waves his hands at the unconscious Shadow Lodge agents, "I say we turn them over to the nearest Venture Lieutenant or keep them in custody ourselves until we can get them back to the Society. I'm sure the higher-ups will be interested to learn more about the Shadow Lodge."

Sorry, missed the buffs earlier. Been working 10+ hours a day (15 yesterday!) and must have been tired.

"Good with ropes? Not me, in particular." Lod shrugs as he puts away his axe. "And I also prefer not to kill our captives. But certainly they are Shadow Lodge agents and can tell us something so let's wake one of them up and see what we can find. Maybe they can help us find the root of the problem, the ringleader or something."

Took a little longer to get internet back than expected, as I worked 13 hours yesterday and didn't have time to buy a router. All is well now though! New house is looking good!

Lod has been quiet to this point, pleased that Dakar's wishes align so nicely with the Society's and that paying off the favor will be no more than what the Society would have asked them to do eventually anyways.

Lod decides to follow Chip in speaking with Roold. He peppers the conversation with his own tales, most of which start with, "Well, in the colds of the north we do things a bit differently..." or something of the sort. When Chip mentions the Shadow Lodge, he carefully nudges Roold to get any information he can.

Good work guys! I was on the road yesterday and as I think I mentioned I'm on my last trip now through April 7th so unfortunately I'll be a bit slow during the conclusion.

Lod feels quite lost being swept up in the politics of a strange town and addressed by people important and dangerous enough to send their own agents to fetch the Pathfinders for a meeting. Nonetheless, he complies with no complaint and places the cloth over his head to be led to the meeting.

I'm traveling again tomorrow (Tuesday) through Saturday. I'll do my best to keep up but I just wanted to warn you that I might not be able to post every day.

Lod decides to speak with Jorda, the fruit merchant. He first purchases 1 gp worth of fruit (a lot of fruit!) and then says, "It looks like you have some good produce here! I may be here a while with my friends so I will have to return later for more. But I was wondering if you knew how to get in contact with Mr. Ardoc? I have some urgent business."

Out on the streets, he again approaches some locals, looking for a magical items shop and a proprietor who might know the local golemcrafters, and asks, "Hello! We have some urgent business with Mr. Ardoc but aren't sure how to contact him or find him."

Lod lowers his axe as the man explains the mix-up. Still thinking over how strange this city is and how unfortunate that their contact would be killed just before they got to town, he only notices after a moment that his companions have asked all the questions he would have. Shelyn bless me! If only we could have found Collgardie a few hours earlier, none of this might have happened! Let's hope we can find Ardoc before anything bad happens to him!

"Did you kill him? You bastards!" Lod shouts as he pulls out his axe and steps around one of the attackers.

Lod also gives himself another tap of mage armor, following Silgil's example. He nods in agreement with the dwarf. "Indeed! He should be expecting us so let's just announce ourselves. Or maybe he just doesn't hear us..."

If no one answers their calls, Lod pushes the door open and calls in again. "Hello! It's the Pathfinders! I think you were expecting us?"

Lod stands alert for several more seconds, making sure there are no other goblins waiting to attack. He then slowly stands up straight and retrieves a rag to wipe his axe clean.

Moving to investigate the collapsed wall, he leans down and pokes through some ashes. "They've been camped here for some time," he calls back to his companions and the Duskwardens. "This type of construction-or deconstruction, as it were-took them a while. It would be worthwhile to patrol even the unused passages regularly, if you are not doing so already."

Up in the city proper, Lod is faced with a bit of culture shock being so far away from his home and faced with such strange denizens. Eventually he works up the courage to approach a nearby vendor. "Excuse me! I am new to town, only a visitor really, but I am looking for a friend. His name is Collgardie. Can you point me in the right direction?"

A short halfling wearing furs over a light-blue tabard stitched with the holy symbol of Shelyn bursts into the room, a greataxe hanging from one hand. "Apologies for my tardiness," he says with a small bow of his head. "I was called in at the last minute. But I heard along the way that we are traveling to Kaer Maga, correct? Strange city, or so I am told. I have never been."

He turns to his companions. "I am Lod Flaxseed, a distant relation of the famed Venture-Captain. When I heard that my clan had gained some renown in the Society I came down from the Realm of the Mammoth Lords to join my axe to the cause. I am happy to serve with you on this mission."

Lod dusts himself off, anxious to preserve his one nice outfit and his only outfit that does not consist of furs and leathers stained by the rough weather of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. Let the man have his stories he thinks to himself as the noble takes the credit for solving the undead crisis. The truth will live on in the chronicles.

Back at the Society campus Lod changes out of his nice opera outfit and stows it safely for the next time he has a popular gathering to attend.

Lod cautions against immediate healing, dropping to his knees and retrieving some rope to tie up the man. Once the cult leader is secured and before he dies, Lod uses the power of Shelyn to stop the man's bleeding.
