Born a nameless child in a nameless gillman village off the coast of the Shackles, Kyanos Archontas was never destined for great things. He simply another pair of hands for hunting and foraging. But Kyanos was not content to live out his days like his kin, in a backwater hamlet far from any trace of civilization. No, he was determined to attain wealth, power, and privilege, the likes of which had not been seen since his ancient Azlanti ancestors. It was with this determination that Kyanos found his great gift, a talent for shaping and controlling the minds of those weaker than him. By the time he left his village, not a single soul there could resist the force of his mind, and indeed, he made them obey his every whim. But the weak-willed denizens of his home were no challenge, no fun, and so he left. He fell in with a few other similarly motivated characters, and that is where our story begins
Appearance and Personality:
Kyanos Archontas is a tall and finely dressed gillman, with piercing aquamarine eyes and incredibly pale skin. High Azlanti cheekbones complement a regal bearing that is rare outside of nobility. He is bedecked in fine jewelry and a jeweled circlet rests on his brow.
Kyanos is not the most moral of people, being driven by greed and ambition. However, he has enough sense to know that what he wants can only come from cooperation with others. He is prepared to work with anyone who is not fully hostile to him, as he is sure that they will eventually adore him like all the others, and if not, he will make them. He believes that taking control of the ship is his first step to the life he so craves, and will do nearly anything to keep his power.
