Kyanos will take a shot at the captain with his hand crossbow, missing badly.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Kyanos stands at the top of the stairs, as his eyes flash with intensity at the man sobbing on the floor. He says to the man in a strange and reverberating voice, "Feel the pain that you deserve."

I will shift my hypnotic stare to Owlbear and cast inflict pain. He'll have to make a DC 17 Will save, along with a -2 from my hypnotic stare.

Kyanos shoots the paralyzed, burning, eye-bleeding pirate with his crossbow, smirking at how quickly the fight seems to be resolved. Upon seeing his bolt miss, his smirk dims a little.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

I wasn't able to move my pawn on roll20 at all. Not sure if I don't have permissions or I'm just bad at roll20. Also, the pirate will take two point of bleed damage from bleeding stare.

Hey all, I'm off school for a bit so I should be able to post more.

Kyanos stares at the crewman closest to Kraol, cerulean eyes flashing with intensity, and says in a voice with the power of a crashing wave, "Freeze, I command you."

Kyanos will activate his hypnotic stare as a swift action, his painful/bleeding stare as a free action, and cast hold person. The crewman will take a -2 on will saves, +2 damage from anyone attacking him, and 1 bleed damage as long as I maintain the stare.

Well, here goes nothing I suppose," Kyanos mutters to himself as he climbs up the ship.

Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 15

As for my buffs, shadow splinter lasts until triggered.

Kyanos floats alongside Kraol, and places a hand om his shoulder while muttering, "This will keep you safe, although not for too long. Make use of it while you can."

I'll activate my shadow splinter trick on Kraol, which'll decrease the damage of the first attack against him by seven and transfer that damage to an enemy within the range of the attack, as well as giving him a +2 on initiative due to my Ready for Battle feat.

Kyanos smiles devilishly and remarks to the rest of the crew, "This ship can bring us riches or ruin. I can break the wills of these petty humans and ensure it is the former. If one wishes, I can reach into their mind as well, but unlike for
the landwalkers, it will be entirely beneficial."

Kyanos has similar feelings on the matter to Coranzen.

Indeed, only the finest elf chops will do. :P

Kyanos prefers not to eat human, a bit too tough and uncivilized for his taste.

Ah, understood. I'm not too familiar with the ship rules and the text from the book didn't suggest anything about ship combat. It seems like bosun would be my best choice in that case.

On further inspection, the bosun seems to be more inclined to knowledge of about the ship and control of the crew, and given the Sinmara is animating the skeletons, it would be useful. Captains seem to maintain social cohesion on board, which Kyanos would excell at. If I do end up as bosun, I can certainly...intimidate skeletons? Hmmmm

I could probably be a decent captain, I have decently high social skills. I'm not sure what other role I could fill, possibly bosun.
