"I am quite fine with that. Let's retrieve him and get ourselves that bigger pack you mentioned to carry him in. I'll safeguard him in it till we find a place for his remains." If there are no objections, Kurza finds a merchant and buys a bag of holding, borrowing from group funds or group shares since it is really a party expense. Then the group will go retrieve Flarghin and be on their way. As they head out of the market for the final time, they pick up the holy water and light sources discussed, along with other possible miscellaneous items... minor items and maybe even alchemical remedies and weapons. Just things that wouldn't be hard to find in this place. Alchemist fire or the like might be good. Having finally prepared, the group will have Micah lead them to the next destination... Gather what you can, 'cause I don't think we will be back here for awhile. My comments should leave plenty of opportunities for others to alter what we do still, as I want to keep things moving but not step over anyone.

"I believe, based off what little we know, that Flarghin is no better off if we bring him back now. We could try go back to our own time and place but that would take who knows how long to find a door leading there. The longer we wait to start our new quest, the more time the enemy has to make it impossible for us to do it at all. If we are successful in this new quest everything will change, including Flarghin's life and possible death. I can't begin to say what will happen to us, but if I must sacrifice myself to save millions, so be it. So, to be clear, I think we should just go now, before it is too late, and let us be triumphant so that Flarghin, and all the realms, will know a better fate."

Once we get back in time, the only things we know is that Kelemvor and Midnight were friends of his and fellow adventurers. I suppose we would find them like anyone else is found. We hunt them. Ask around about those names, as they surely must have some notoriety being successful adventurers of that time. In our own histories and the knowledge skills of the party we might be able to find some places to look also. The gods expect us to be able to find them so they didn't say where, just when.

I happen to have played through that whole time period with my group back in the day... long time realms GM and player here. I figured Kurza would have some knowledge of a primary diety like that since it wasn't much before our character's time. Less than 20 years. Kurza is willing to tell the story of his vision again, but he makes sure there are no prying eyes or ears before hand. He doesn't start until everyone is sure they want to hear it. If need be he whispers it in each persons ear...should that really come to pass. Kurza's Vision:
Standing before Kurza is a great human, easily seven feet tall, massively muscular, with a beard and white hair that reach well below his chest. His eyes are utterly missing, and his right wrest ends in but a stump where the hand used to be. A massive greatsword lies in the human's other hand, planted in the ground. The man speaks, plainly, loudly, and tersely, making each word count. "Loyal Kurza. You are my last chance at justice for that foul wretch Cyric. You will find him before his ascension, and you will prevent it - plainly as that. He can cause no trouble as a mortal, particularly a dead one. I've thought long and hard about this...technically the man will have not committed the horrendous deeds that are now worthy of so much punishment by then, but he will still be an evil-hearted brigand, villain, and conniving upstart planning almost every step he will have taken in the future. The lives of millions will be saved by ending one - and if you can prevent his ascension without actually killing him, all the better - but this is, as much as I loathe saying it, an acceptable casualty, and I will not deny you your power for it. Nor will Torm, who...should all of his go south, and I am not around after, has agreed to watch over you. I give you a piece of my power. I am proud of you. You overcome your blood every day, proving your will is strong." A glowing white energy starts to emanate from the man, and from the sphere into Kurza as he awakens from the memory. "...and this is why I was so very sour right after the vision. It is quite dreadful, but important." he says with a look of resolve.

That is why I shared everything with all of you originally. As far as Kurza was concerned, I felt he would think we needed to compare each vision so we could get a complete picture of what we needed to do, and how we could accomplish such a daunting task. Never having met a divine being before, I also figured some characters we were justifiably behaving a bit "off". The bickering did derail some conversation ideas I had originally. BTW about the cure. Play it out in gameplay tab or just roll over here to make things quicker? I asked before if we should roll or TGTG should but never got a response, and I understand why, as there was a lot going on. CL9+d20 for a chance to cure at the original save DC.

"Actually we are going back to before our present time.", Kurza says almost casually to his two more learned associates. "In our present, the year 1373, our target has already ascended and has been a god for some years already. It was during the Time of Troubles, in the late 1350s if I'm not mistaken, when things changed. We are to go back before that and stop it from happening. The future that we travelled to is only relevant in that it was when the gods made their decision to send us back, and they showed us a glimpse of the trouble the world, and really all of existence, would be in if we fail." He looks at both Micah and Majhul as he says this last part, "So, now where to?"

As they wander the enormous market area, Kurza leans down to respond to Lavinia, "We are not abandoning the hunt, just postponing it. There doesn't seem much chance we can find her quickly in this throng of people, especially given the size of this city." As he straightens once again, he thinks out loud, "Besides, we have something of hers. We may run across her anyway if she tries to find it." Looking to Sand's compass, Kurza seems intrigued, "That is a very interesting device my friend. It looks like a stone could fit in that depression there. Very nice design." After Sand stops and speaks with the centaur, Kurza waits not far ahead for his friend. When Sand rejoins the group and tells his news of the person that removes diseases and curses, Kurza smiles broadly and claps his friend on the shoulder. With happiness Kurza laughs and says, "Ha! That is wonderful news! I have heard it can be a tricky thing removing a disease like that. Some of the paladins of my order can do it and I also am working to be able to do so one day, though sadly that is not today."

I'm not picky at all as long as it is fair minded and beneficial to the party as a whole. My vote: 1) Party share +1 for cash (including from sold items). 2) Consumables/utility items given as needed for party benefit. 3) Other Items given out based on need or want. 4) Occasionally audit, (I call "not it" on that job) and if things ever seem to get too unbalanced in favor of one character over others, we tweak things in the next payout. That sound about right? I think this is a fair minded group so it should be easy for us.

Kurza smiles wryly at Sand's humor before turning thoughtful when Sand mentions Lemon's apprehension toward Majhul. "That's right. He didn't seem keen on the Guvners as Micah observed, but the thing that stuck out to me was he really seemed bothered by you recovering your memories." Kurza says to Majhul, continuing to speak quietly. Looking to Micah attentively, "Holy water. Good idea. I don't know what kind of light source will be much help there but whatever you recommend. Now, how are we to find our way there from here? Or better yet, just show us." We will grab several vials of holy water while we are still here, before we leave Sigil.

After all the market activity, buying and selling, and being smart about not flashing wealth around, Kurza looks over his quiet companions. There is still tension among them. He ponders to himself. I hope we have not fractured beyond hope...no, I won't allow that to just be the way of things. He leads the party to a more remote area, looking for some privacy before he speaks to everyone in quiet tones "Well, that was much easier than it could have been. This is truly an amazing place. Without giving anything away, should we buy anything else in preparation while we are still here in this massive market? You are the only one with that knowledge Micah. "THAT IS ENOUGH!" Kurza bellows as he rounds on the two arguing men. The big tiefling stares with a mix of anger and weariness at the two men as he states with a deep rumble, "No more talking from either of you. All you are doing is enflaming each other, and neither is satisfied unless they get the last word in. At one point either one of you may have had a point but it is lost in this bickering. So I'll make it easy. Both of you be silent. Don't talk until we get to a vendor and even after that don't talk with, or even reference, each other. For the sake of the world, and your gods, just...be...quiet!" This is a powder keg. Kurza thinks to himself as the two casters go from heated conversation to angry argument in the matter of two breaths. Just as he is about to interject, the bright smile of his elven friend makes a reappearance and Kurza can't help but feel a bit relieved. Well said. I'll still have to keep in mind how tightly wound this whole situation has made everyone, but for now it looks like we can move forward. Still wanting more information, Kurza decides to take it on faith that Micah will reveal it as they go when necessary. "Let's head out, keeping details light for now. When it matters though, I expect no secrets among us." The last sentence comes out with a bit of an edge to it. ----------------- As the group moves outside and Lemon begins his yammering... "While I don't think Lemon is in fact anything other than a curious fey, albeit one that was once a wizard's familiar, we most certainly don't need to kill him. He just no longer needs to accompany us." Kurza says with quiet conviction. "Perhaps this is best, since after recent events I am loath to involve others outside of our group." As an afterthought,"If lemon was going to report back to someone, say he was still a familiar, would he need to go anywhere or could he just mentally communicate with his master? He pauses for a moment before looking directly at Lemon, "Could you please wait for us outside while we continue to get ready good fey? We have things of a more dangerous and private nature to discuss and we do not want to put you in peril should you overhear." After he gently leads the little fey out of the room and closes the door he then looks to his companions as they get ready to leave, wondering where they will be going, "Whichever one of you has the most details, please fill the rest of us in. I really enjoy playing in the realms again. Brings back so many years of gaming history for me. I am also extremely happy to be, what I consider at least, fixing what they(both TSR and WoTC) did to the realms. While I always want to be successful in our goals in a game, from my characters point of view and my own, we really need to set things right in this one, lol. Cyric has got to go! I hope everyone had a nice day/night. Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it, and happy day to those that don't. Cheers all!

Just a confirmation recap in case I am mistaken, please review... 1)We attempt to take the vision spheres with us or destroy them. If they don't have the memories anymore, or we discover we can't take them or destroy them then it is a moot point. I expect the visions were a one time thing, and can't be used again, but we will find out. 2)After our brief discussions on our visions we move to the first room with the stone guardian, set up to rest, then spend the next 8-10 hours resting and recovering spells, and discussing where we will start our quest since it seems that not everyone's vision gave them clear directions on "where" or "when" to find our targets. We really need to know the where part, or at least where to look for information. I assume we share the details of our visions, or at least Kurza does once the initial shock is over, as I already said anyone could look at his spoiler. If anyone doesn't share the details, just say so. 3)If the night is uneventful, we head out to look for a cure for lycanthropy, either as a disease or a curse, but I think in the earliest stages we want a cure for disease. 4)We sell our stuff. This can be combined with looking for a cure, along with buying anything we think we should for the quest ahead. 5)When finally ready, we set out to find the door leading us to the right "when" and from there things will be what they will be... Does that sound about right for everyone before TGTGM posts his update or am I missing something?

Yes, sell here in Sigil since it is also a place we would want to buy things(it is the largest market we will ever find after all). Kurza wants to go check out a cure for Sand first and foremost. At this stage before it is past a certain point I think a remove disease will work. Considering the nature of things, Kurza does not want to have anyone go off alone. He is interested in purchasing a wand for himself but only after everyone else has done what they want(unless the opportunity arises earlier of course). Waiting on an RP post till after I know how the nights rest went, lol.

The key you mentioned is to not overly optimize. The offensive power in the mythic rules is great and the threat of death is very prevalent if the opposition has actual mythic tiers vs mythic ranks. That said, defensive powers (either taking the hit, avoiding it or stopping it before it happens) are only able to do so much. I plan on mixing that up a bit with some decent defense and offense, with out focusing completely on one over the other to keep Kurza balanced. I was tempted to go full "turtle"(which is pretty awesome tbh) but I decided against that in favor of a more offensive threat with a two handed weapon that enemies would want to target, hoping I can heal through damage/resist effects in the early levels and then getting better control/avoidance/absorption abilities later. It will likely require a dual path for me as well with Champion as the second path to come later. Input from the group is much appreciated on what you would like to see as Kurza is a team player, as am I, lol.

Kurza stands with eyes closed in grim silence as his vision fades. He is ringed by a halo of soft radiance that quickly begins to fade, and he opens his eyes to witness reality anew. Upon his back, he can feel the heavy weight of his sword, yet somehow it is strangely unfamiliar to him. He scans around the room for his friends, noticing subtle changes in each of them. "I was gifted a vision of justice. Justice that I need to deliver." He remains quiet as the others talk of their experiences, but when they are done Kurza explains his vision to any that wish to hear the details. Feel free to open Kura's spoiler. Kurza then steps a short distance away from the guards and speaks quietly to his friends, "Well, it is up to you what we do. I have no issue with renting the locker. I would like to be nearby to be safe though."

Once we rest, Sand will get back one more Con point, leaving him with no negative hp or saves since he will only have 1 con damage. The next night of rest should heal that up too.

Nodding to the guards, "Thank you good sirs. This is our friend..." as he holds up Flarghin, "...and we must keep him with us, even in death, until we can find a suitable way to restore him to life. This other is a culprit that needs to be brought back for questioning in crimes against the crown of our homeland. I understand if it is against your rules letting us in with them, but if you can see fit to allow this exception, we would be grateful." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 I know I mentioned this, but I don't think we had time to 'adjust the body size' of the weretiger to a manageable amount able to fit in a haversack. We should really find a bag of holding, able to fit them both... and if the guards don't let us in... "I doubt many places would want dead bodies around, other than a mortuary." Kurza says off to the side and quietly to his friends. "Perhaps some of you can go in and investigate and I can stay out here with the bodies until you are ready to go."

If you get one scroll of gentle repose, then scribe it, you can prepare it and it will last 1 day per caster level. Better than buying a few scrolls. Just my two copper.

"Thank you Micah!" Kurza bursts out, then realizes his volume and becomes much quieter, "Let's get out of the street and find a place, more private." Sand has the other haversack currently I think. After a few moments of looking, they eventually find a place at least slightly off the beaten path and Kurza opens and reads the spell from the scroll... lesser restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 4 Yes! "I bet that feels better! Your still not out of the woods, but a nights rest should do you wonders. Let's find that Hall so we can move on to an inn soon after." Kurza keeps supporting Sand until he feels solid enough on his own, and then just stays close as they make their way through the dense crowd on their way to Hall of Sensates.
