So, quick question concerning this...

"The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target."

Say you had invisibility. You stealth up to your target in combat.
For your first attack, they would be denied DEX bonus because you're invisible. Because they become aware of you after your first attack, do they then gain their DEX bonus?

In other words, if you had a full round attack with invisibility (not greater invis) would all attacks that round have sneak attack or just the first?

Or, would a full round of attack only ever have sneak attack on every hit if the attacker is flanking or has Greater Invisibility? (I'm aware that you can take Greater two-weapon feint, use your first roll to feint then all subsequent attacks will have sneak attack if successful)

Now that I've thought about it for a bit...

Enemies draw an AoO when they enter a square threatened by you. Lunge is activated BEFORE you decide to attack an enemy. Do you threaten the square a baddie walks into before you decide to use Lunge? Because if you don't use lunge, you can't normally attack him in that square. Since lunge doesn't say anything about increasing your threatened area... I'm inclined to think this...

Using lunge doesn't increase the area you threaten, it just enables you to attack outside where your normal threatened area is. That being the case, I don't think it would be something to extend the area you can perform AoOs.

That would be pretty broken if you had a reach weapon, as a Polearm Master (Fighter). As a polearm master you can attack adjacent squares and your reach squares. You add combat patrol to that and your threatened area is huge. If you were to add Lunge to that mix, it would be a bit crazy OP.

I know this is an old thread, but I found something that makes it sounds as though lunge is something that affects your AoOs

"LUNGE (MYTHIC)
Your reaching strikes aid your defenses against those you hit.
Prerequisite: Lunge.
Benefit: Whenever you use Lunge and hit a creature with the melee attack, you no longer take a –2 penalty to AC against that creature. You can expend one use of mythic power when you use Lunge to negate the –2 penalty to AC whether you hit or miss, and gain a +2 bonus on attacks of opportunity you make while Lunge is in effect."
