I think appropriately that I am tied up organizing the survivors. If the group feels otherwise, let me know and I'll jump in.

Kortin is continuing to manage the survivors.

I imagine that the place i am gathering the survivors is too far away from the fight for me to effectively help.

"I'll get the children and elderly safe. You all calm them down."

Kortin will gather up the elderly (including the body of the woman whose husband he had saved) and lead them away from what will surely be a fight.

Perception to find a safe place to stash them until things cool down: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Kortin will continue to gather survivors and start treating the wounded.

Medicine: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

"I understand. You think whatever you're doing is more important than helping children not die. Have fun sleeping at night."

Kortin moves back to where people are starting to gather and starts checking for injuries.

I was trying to group up the survivors some place near the river but on dry land.

"Seriously people, go join the others. Whatever you've saved away here can be recovered once the flooding has passed. Your families need you more."

Seeing that the refugees are taken care of, Kortin will move to the mound and see what is moving.

Kortin will begin organizing survivors, trying to get them to help each other to a safer area.

"Okay, people, let's stay calm. We're going to group up over there. If you are not injured, I want you to help the people who are injured but can still walk. If you can't walk, I'm going to get you moved. I need everyone to stay calm and help your neighbors."

Perception check to find a good staging area to collect the villagers at: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Once Cortin has the old man near the other gathered survivors, he will say to him: "I promise you that we'll get your wife's body buried, but I need to help make sure that others are safe as well."

"Of course I will. Where is the tomb located?"

Seeing that Vistra has the raft of children and elderly, Kortin will move towards the old man and pick up the body, saying "I got them. Let's get you to someplace safe."

Kortin is here because someone needs to be a tactically minded leader, and that would be me. Normally he specializes in city defense, but recent events have convinced him that he needs to branch out more.
