Backstory
Klum belongs to the Murdoon clan, a large gregarious family of farmer's in Breachill that can trace their descendants all the way back to the founders in the days of the wizard Lamond Breachton. They're a rowdy but neighborly bunch, a little atypical for they keep faith with Old Deadeye, the god of the fallow fields and bountiful hunts who keeps the family fed, sheltered, and in business. Klum, just one of around a bakers dozen of the current Murdoon youths, has taken to the faith a little more strongly than most of his siblings, and there was some talk among the family and the townsfolk of him eventually taking up the cloth.
But right now, only just come of age, and he's still got a young man's head on his shoulders. He's got time to exercise his ambitions, find himself, and make a few mistakes before he settles down with a career in town, and hopefully starts a family. He's a good seed, always offering his time and help to members of the community, and making sure to exchange a kind word with everyone he meets on the street. He works at Vusker's Carts & Wheels, as an apprentice woodworker and cartwright, but he still finds the hours to volunteer at Lamond's Lament helping to feed and support Breachill's less fortunate.
His biggest ambition at the moment is to be chosen for the Hero's Call, and not only put his burgeoning skills as a huntsman to the test, but also to do some real good for the town where they need it the most.
