I am guessing stealth was not an option climbing through the rocks. If it was let me know and I'll change Kiranov's action. I am also assuming since it is within pouncing distance of us that we can attack the cougar, too.
Kiranov will approach from the side of the cougar to stay out of the line of sight of his companions with ranged weapons and strike the cougar in the side with his battle axe.
Attack to hit spending one karma to add a die2d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (4, 4) + (5) = 13

Sorry for the delay in posting, it has been a crazy week, but with my initiative roll I don't think I held anything up.

Initiative: 1d10 ⇒ 1

Kiranov will draw his battle axe and if there is a possible way to stealthily move forward and angle around to get a look at what the human is fighting without being seen himself he will (let me know if I should roll silent walk) If there is no way to sneak forward, he'll just move forward at an angle and make sure not block anyone's line of fire if the creature comes into view.

Tracking 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + (4) = 9

Kiranov will share the knowledge he has about the Brithan with anyone who is interested.

Sorry I couldn't make the game last night. I still haven't had a chance to get the recap from Roni yet. Hopefully the group found some interesting trouble to get into

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Kiranov will also move towards Grayson ducking his head a few times while looking at the Brithan to hopefully give the creature the idea the group is submitting. If he can, he'll get Grayson to his feet and move away from the brithan trying to angle around it to get further down the road and eventually out of its territory. Let me know if Kiranov has any better ideas about how to look submissive.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Cool. Thanks. I'll get the hang of all this eventually.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Can't we retreat away from it down the road in the direction we want to go to leave it's territory? I figure if we start moving away from it, the creature would shadow us until we leave it's territory regardless of which direction we choose. For all we know we happen to run into the creature in the middle of his/her territory.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

You have to let it hit you once and then you can submit to it. I haven't actually done this before but usually if you duck down and get lower than it, most animals get the idea. Just don't let it kill you with the first blow...

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Thanks for the clarification. How do you get my name to show up instead of "spoiler" to label the hidden text?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Seeing that Grayson has accepted the challenge, he will call out to the party No one attack the Brithan since Grayson has accepted its challenge. He'll call out to Grayson, If you can hurt it enough it will submit to you, or if you get hurt you may also submit to it. If you submit it will let us leave its territory. Kiranov will take a step back and let the two resolve the challenge.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

GM questions:

Spoiler:
Does Grayson's attack qualify as answering the Brithan's challenge or does he actually need to respond verbally first? Also, do I have a guess at how much damage a Brithan can deal out with one blow? (can Grayson survive a hit with only taking a wound?)?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Just uploaded Kiranov to Dropbox. One more question, when I update my character sheet file, do I need to share it again or does it automatically do that?

And just thought of another question, is only our main weapon enhanced by forging or all of our weapons?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

I didn't figure out how to override it so I just added legend points to account for the discrepancy to make it balance. If there is a way to adjust that in a GM mode, let me know and I'll correct my and Dwee's sheets. Finally posting Kiranov's sheet now, sorry for the delay. I'm still waiting for Roni to get me Dwee's updated sheet. I didn't account for the group items yet on either sheet since I didn't know how we were dividing those up.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

If no one has struck the creature by the time Kiranov reacts, he will yell to his companions, Back off, I know how to end this without having to kill this Brithan. He will then step forward and roar back at the creature and strike it with his battle axe using his melee weapon talent (he will spend 2 karma to try to make sure he strikes true with his first blow). If someone else has already struck the creature he will still attack the same way, but shake his head knowing that if he could have reacted more quickly this creature would not have to die.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Since this is my first initiative situation with this system, I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. Is there a standard way you'd like us to post our actions?

In regards to our impending combat, do we wait for the person ahead of us in the initiative order to post their actions before we post anything?

Also, is it possible to say anything before the action begins or do we have to wait to make comments until our turn in the initiative order?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Thanks for the offer, but as you said my current skill set makes sense, too. I am going to use the 600 LP to increase 3 of my current talents to level 2. I should hopefully get that uploaded to drop box later today.

I'm a little confused. Can we spend the 600 legend points now or do we need to wait until someone can train us since you gave us the free rank in History of the Scourge?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Just realized we never split up the adventuring gear you gave us. Is it alright if we just consider that group equipment or do you want us to divvy it up amongst the characters? Also, what do we roll for a nature roll?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Woo-hoo, I get a battle axe. Was Dwee able to do anything special with it?

This part is still new for me, when you say full, is that our full base or at our max?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

"Nature" roll? Would local geography work?

Perception 8 1d12 ⇒ 5

I don't think anyone would follow us up here, but it is best if we keep moving until we are out of sight of anyone in the valley.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Since the Liferock is the only location that actually appears on the map it seemed a good place to start. The Aras is more of a cool place to eventually get to kind of location.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Ur? What location is closer than the Archpineen Liferock? Unless you are referring to after that, but I didn't see any cities or locations on the larger map for where to go after that.

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Kiranov looks at the maps we have available. It might be a good idea to go to the Archpineen Liferock first. It appears to be a fairly high point that we might be able to get a perspective on any immediate dangers before we choose a destination. Beyond that everything is unknown to me. It might be interesting to go to the Aras. I have never seen a body of water larger than the river.

"Delamater, thank you for everything you have done for us. If you wouldn't have taken the chance and brought us together this would never have been possible. I will do my best to make you and Crispell proud." Kiranov looks like he is almost about to cry himself at the prospect of leaving everything he has known, but he takes a deep breath, pulls himself together and turns to take one last look over the equipment to see if there is anything missing that he thinks they might need.

Dwee, I can help with some of that and I can give you a list of some basics you'll need. Most important is some sturdy warm clothes. If you freeze to death it doesn't matter how much gear you've packed.
If Kiranov can find a scrap of paper he'll write up a quick list of some basic camping gear Dwee will need.

Kiranov's actions during the time after the meeting is finished and before the festival. Only look if you try to follow him

Spoiler:
Kiranov will try to continue to behave normally around other people, but when in the woods he is going to be trying to catch as much game as he can through trapping and hunting. If he can get enough salt, he will salt the meat and try to find a good hiding place for it near the kaer. If possible he will create a couple caches so that if one is found the others might still be intact. He is also going to try to make a few spears with stone tips in case the others are not able to make enough weapons. He is also going to stealthily and in small quantities sneak equipment to also stash near the kaer. He will try to buy small quantities at a time to hopefully not draw notice and if he doesn't have enough money, he will try to make or borrow what he can from his parents. He will also ask his mom to make a few poultices (not sure about game mechanics/naming for these) for a friend of his who got hurt on the ice that he will also add to the cache. IF he doesn't already have a set, he will try to buy, make or acquire the pieces to make a lockpick set.

Follow up to above from GM

Spoiler:
Kiranov touches her on the arm before she walks off. Thank you for everything you've done for me. I wouldn't have a chance outside the valley without everything you've taught me. I so want to ask you to come with us, but you have a place here and the work you and Delamater are doing to protect the young adepts is important and needs to be done. I will miss you always. Live well. He gives her a strong hug and then lets her leave.

Kiranov nods and responds, Thank you for the assistance. It has been a struggle trying to get familiar with the changes I have been experiencing. Is there anything we should know now about controlling our abilities? (Kiranov will wait for Delamater to respond before continuing)

I am not eager to leave, but I also know I don't really have a place within the valley any longer. I will be there as you request. We should probably not gather again until we meet at the kaer. Does anyone need me to help them prepare anything before we meet again?

Male Human Scout | Str 6 | Dex 6 | Tou 5 | Per 7 | Will 5 | Cha 7 | Ph 8 - Sp 9 - Soc 9 | Unc 22 - Dea 31 - 8 | RT 5

Kiranov is surprised by her sudden appearance but recovers and responds simply, "I'll be there." As she walks off, Kiranov's mind is racing.

Background:

Ilarian was born in the middle class of Westcrown to a priest of Asmodeus, and during the events that almost tore Westcrown apart, his latent infernal heritage boiled to the surface. Through some cunning move at a card game, he had procured a map of the Mwangi Expanse, 1100 gold, and fantasies of the wonders that the jungles held, secreted away in it's underbrush. Determined to make something of himself outside the decrepit infernal machine that is Cheliax, he set off to find passage to Sargava.

Appearance:

The half-elf appears as a typical half-elven citizen of Cheliax: lightly tanned skin, high arched eyebrows, tall and lean, and an edge of superiority that creeps into his voice. His voice oozes charm, however, and it is hard to resist returning his wide grin. His hair is worn loosly, with the exception of a small ponytail in the back, and he wears a small goatee, neatly trimmed. His muscles are finely toned from a life of hard labor, but he carries himself as a noble, proud to a fault sometimes. He wears a golden pentacle openly, a last gift from a father who showed uncharictaristic warmth in his final hours with his son. His clothes are obviously new, and custom tailored, slacks still bearing their initial creases. His vest is especially nice, it's shoulders standing out, held in place by thin strips of metal to form sort of a bat's wing pattern.
