Excellent detail work, thank you.

Simple - Would a flaming weapon deal damage on a disarm? It states that "a flaming weapon is sheathed in fire that deals an extra 1d6 points of fire damage on a successful hit" and in the disarm description it does refer to the disarm as an "attack". Therefore, would a successful attack during a disarm attempt count as a hit, even though no damage is dealt directly from the attack?

While the fire whip is used as a ranged touch attack, further into the description it also states "The whip remains in existence as long as the pyrokineticist holds it and is treated for mechanical purposes as a whip."

Since a whip is a melee weapon, would the fire whip not be treated as a melee weapon, despite it's attacks being treated as ranged touch?

Can you use Trip in combination with Whirlwind Attack?

I understand that the rules for Whirlwind Attack state "When you use the Whirlwind Attack feat, you also forfeit any bonus or extra attacks granted by other feats, spells, or abilities." But what is a bonus? The rules of trip simply state "You can attempt to trip your opponent in place of a melee attack." while Whirlwind says "make one melee attack at your highest base attack bonus against each opponent within reach." There are no bonuses or extra attacks involved, and you're not using any feats, spells, or abilities - You're simply using a melee attack to make a combat maneuver.

So, theoretically, would you be able to substitute the melee attacks made during your Whirlwind with trip attempts?
