Hi there,

My macs have always struggled with paizo PDFs (2020 intel). Preview works fine for looking through, but I can't use the interactive maps files with it (the buttons don't work), and I'm unable to copy out monsters from the book to add into roll20/foundry/etc. Adobe reader runs like complete ass, slow as hell, but the buttons worked, could copy out monster images etc.

Since the last update, all of that has gone to hell. Images copy out with a white background instead of transparent, the AI bloat seems to make it run too slowly to work, the search function just can't find words anymore – it's all a trash fire.

Is there a (free?) PDF viewer that works on macs that plays nicely with Paizo's PDFs? Prepping before GMing has become a massive pain and I'd like to smooth things out!

Hi all, quick question about the psychopomp ability spiritsense (that unchained psychopomp eidolons get at level 12). It's a supernatural ability with the following description:

Spiritsense wrote:
A psychopomp notices, locates, and can distinguish between living and undead creatures within 60 feet, just as if it had the blindsight ability

Is this a constant detect undead/see invisibility/true seeing, that sees through illusions and, eg, mind blank as well? I'm GMing an undead-heavy game where one player has this through their eidolon – seems like it makes it impossible to disguise undead with magical or mundane means. Am I right in saying that appearance of life/daywalker/etc would do nothing here as well?

Overall it seems like a powerful 12th level ability to have constantly on! Trying to work out if it's just detecting living and undead creatures without IDing them or more – and if there's any way to fool it.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Has anyone got a good image to use for Schloss Caromac? Besides the maps, I'd love to show my players an imposing view of the place as they approach – really give them the haunted castle vibe.

I'm planning on playing as a Raxilite in an upcoming game (Skittermanders are no longer the cutest creatures in the galaxy). Is there a mechanism for resizing weapons to Tiny? For example using the relevant crafting skill.

Raxilites are limited to a single small arm unless they pay double for weapons, but it would be nice if there was some way we could use weapons scavenged throughout the AP.
