As Khedron begins grasping at Kiira for something, she'll ask, "What is it you're groping about for, brother?" When he answers that he'd like to try fitting the finger to the relief on the sarcophagus, she'll fish it out of her pouch and hand it over. She'll walk around the sarcophagus alternately looking at it and looking down each hallway as she walks around. She mutters to herself while she's doing this, "Tall for a human.....maybe some kind of holy man......why are there two lanterns missing?.....the hands....some sort of holy gesture?....maybe a magical pose or something......" Then she asks aloud, "I wonder if this thing spins about to point it's arrow down the hallways?" Kirra's search on the sarcophagus at plus two for stonecunning: (1d20+2=9) I figure a 9 doesn't get me much info! Not really seeing much up top that grabs her attention, she'll focus her search at the base of the sarcophagus, trying to determine whether or not it spins. Search of the base of the sarcophagus: (1d20+2=16) She obviously has her weapon out and is not as into the coffin as Thorghrim is into the lanterns so she's on the alert for any attacks. If her searches reveal nothing important, she'll take a five-foot step back and let her brothers try to smash the sarcphagus. If they ask for her help, she'll give it. Otherwise, she's keeping an eye out down the hallways and towards the bright green lantern.
"Aye, thanks, brother! Let's get another!" Kiira will take a five foot step towards the lead wolf and have at him! Kiira's hit: 1d20+5=8, 1d10+3=8 "For the battle! For the blood!! For the clan!!!" Kirra will shout as she swings her axe the wolf in hopes of killing it as well.
HP 17/17, AC 18 Kiira's initiative:1d20+3=5 Kiira will turn towards the wolves and ready her attack for as soon as a wolf is in range. She quickly calls to Gant neither shouting nor whispering, "Gant!" She just wants to get his attention on us. Her hit, should a wolf come withing range: 1d20+5=20, 1d10+3=11
Kiira will purchase two healing potions as well and, noticing how the eyes seem to follow her and how that seems to be bothering Thorghrim, will put both of her vials in front of her own eyes with the tops facing outward. Then walking backwards in front of Thorghrim, taking care not to fall on her arse, she'll keep taunting him, " Ah see ye, Thorghrim, ah see ye!" Once she's had as much fun with that as she can, she'll put her potions away and continue on with her brothers, keeping an eye out for the unexpected. Every once in a while Roryn's blue eyes will pop into her mind and she'll smile....not even realizing she is. She might even be caught quietly exclaiming, "Sich bonny eyes" a time or two! When they reach the cairn she'll go into alert mode. She too will allow her vision to adjust before she enters too far and will suggest that they give the collapsed tunnel a once over before they leave it behind them to make sure that it isn't some kind of trap. "Mak' sure that's nae a trap, Moverock," she'll quietly whisper right in Moverock's ear, "Someone's bin in 'ere 'n' a'm waantin' tae mak' sure they're nae behind us whin we shift further in." 1d20+3=18 - Dex check for walking backwards and taunting Thorghrim 1d20+5=9 - Spot check 1d20+5=11 - Listen check 1d20+0=13 - Move silently check
Out of curiosity Kiira will take a turn at the daggers. She'll pony up her three shards, take her pick of daggers she will sense motive on the barkeep and the elf chick when she takes her dagger. Sense motive1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 unless you want to roll it Wormy. She'll throw the dagger no matter what she senses and take up negative feelings, if there are any, with her brothers away from the bar after the contest. If she gets no negative vibe, good! and gets the feel of it and..... First throw: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
If she wins, she'll collect her winnings with a wink of her eye at the barkeep and buy the elf whatever she's drinking. If she loses she'll laugh and say, "Ach! Ye cannae win thaim a'!!!" She'll still buy a drink for the elf and head over to snog with Roryn. She will gladly accept the escort and mess around with Roryn some more but won't do the dirty deed. She is a respectful, albeit wild, dwarven girl and would not disrespect her father or this house. As far as where we go to adventure, she's rather steer clear of something she knows someone else is going to do, especially since the elf is well-known around here. She'll have to be persuaded to go to the Stirgenest only because she doesn't want to stir up trouble in this town.
"Aye thay ur, Lass," Kirra answers, "Mah oldest 'n' youngest broethers! Th' fights atween us ur plenty! A'll bet oan th' mean yin neist time! Kirra notices the turn of events, laughs and exclaims, "Ach! Looks lik' ah shuid huv bet oan him this time, tho'!" She turns back to the fight with encouraging yells to Thorgrim, "Come oan, Thorgrim! Skelp him whaur it hurts!"
"A've git five shards oan th' happy yin!" Kiira nudges Tirra and says with a wink, "He's git a lot o' pent up anger, he does!" If anyone wants to bet she's game. She'll start standing her ground and forming a wall with Gant to give her brothers room to really brawl. She's having a GREAT time!! She'll turn and give Roryn a big smile and a wink before she turns back to start giving Throgrim some moral support. Roryn may be one lucky dwarf come the end of the evening! Kiira isn't picking favorites. She just knows that Thorgrim's been raring for a fight. If not for that she'd probably have bet on Khedron because Throgrim tends to overthink things which doesn't usually work in a bar fight situation. Whatever happens, she has an ale waiting for both of them for after the fight.....that is, as long as the barkeep lets us stay! Also, I'm not sure about the monetary breakdown here. If 5 shards is too much for a freindly bet, then it's whatever isn't unreasonable.
Kiira feels much as Thorgrim does about the dogfighting. Totally not interested. She will partake of the ale. "Ach! This tastes like doog piss!" She'll laugh considering they fight dogs there and then say, "Ah, well! Da fairst tastes the wairst! Bring me two more to chase this one doon with and it'll taste like god piss instead!" She'll laugh again. Harder this time because god is dog spelled backwards! She wants to have fun and enjoy Roryn's company. She'll sing and dance if there's dancing but she will always try to keep a wary eye. She'll keep an eye on the half-orc, "Noo he be an interesting sort!" She'll watch the elf woman and her matches and try to get Khedron to challenge her and she'll listen to everything hoping to get any more info about the town, the people or adventure. She'll needle Gant a bit and laugh at Thorgrim because of how excited he gets over the bar fights. And, she'll wonder why Moverock is so quiet as of late. If any of her brothers get in a fight, she'll jump to help them but seeing how she has Roryn there, she won't be looking for any fights of her own this night, even though there is plenty of opportunity to start one!
I'm assuming the plan is to go off, sell our stuff and look around, then, meet up with Roryn later. "Ach! Those eyes!!", Kirra thinks to herself. Although, the look on her face probably speaks it louder than words. "It's as if I cud strip daen and go fer a swim in 'em!" Kirra explains that we are "quints". "At least that's what they call us daen te where we're from!" She’ll tell the positives and the negatives about being quintuplets and the positives and negatives about being the only female. By the time she's done and ready to head out to the shops with her brothers, Roryn will have no doubt that she loves her brothers fiercely and will protect them to her death although she'll never hesitate to "clout 'em one when they need it or....jist for the fun 'o it!" During their walk, she'll take notice of the Halfling only to wonder what would make someone dress that way. She won't spend her money anywhere today but at the bar either. She's thinking of Roryn but quietly aware of what's going on around her. Trying to make sure no one takes advantage of them while they're conducting their business or that they don't get robbed walking down the street. "Ye never nae wut can happen in a human taen!" She's very interested in the town taking in as many details as possible. After leaving the Captain's Blade she'll question her brothers, "Wut's the good in explorin' the cairns 'n barrows if they're all robbed and barren?!" She'll follow along with her brothers looking forward to her meeting with Roryn later, tossing down a few ales, singing some good dwarven drinking songs and maybe even a good fight!
"Cairns! Great idea! First thing tomorrow! I'm glad to be in sight of some dwarves that don't look just like me with facial hair!! I think after a good meal, some ale next to a warm dwarven hearth and a good night's, um, sleep we'll be ready to go!!" Kiira will saunter towards the hall that leads to the back door as she's talking and stop when she gets to where she can see Roryn. If he's not there, she'll wait and gladly follow him to her room. Unless her brothers all want to go. In that case, she'll glare her displeasure at them and follow them out apologizing profusely for her brothers bad manners in not accepting dwarven hospitality.
Kiira smiles and gives a little wink to Roryn and a respectful bow of the head to Dulok, as she enters the building close on Khedron's heels. She will happily take the ale, and following the lessons taught to her by her da, will wait until he drinks as well. As the discussion about the letter begins, she will look around the room and take in as much detail as she can. Walking through town was no different. She tried to see everything she could, paying as close attention to detail as possible. She will pay close attention to the conversation, adding to it where she can and politely listening during the rest of the time. She takes her family's reputation very seriously and would do absolutely nothing to mar it and absolutely everything to enhance it. She does have a hard time, however, keeping her eyes off the eyes of Roryn! "What beautiful eyes he has," she muses while taking a long draught of the proffered ale. "Ach! The rest o' him ain't so bad either!"
Kirra will head off with her two brothers to town. She can't wait to see it!!! She's not the slightest bit interested in sleeping in a building.....with strangers.....and a roof......but she's always up for something new and really wants to drink a pint in a tavern......a far and away tavern!!! Suddenly she'll stop. She'll look longingly towards Gant and Moverock, who are up ahead a little ways, and then back at Khedron and Thorgrim. She'll run up to Gant an give him a couple of gold. "Get me the best ale they got, brother!" Then, with a sense of responsibility to her brothers that comes from being the second oldest and the only female, she'll turn and walk back towards the camp. She won't leave her other brothers, especially while Khedron is hurt. She'll help Thorgrim finish cutting the meat and then sit with her back against the other side of the tree Khedron is sleeping against and take up watch there. One small tear squeezes it's way out and trickles down her cheek as she thinks of home and how badly Khedron was hurt in the battle! But, only one. And, noone can see it!
After dropping the orc she chased, she'll look around to make sure there are no more. She'll chop the head off the one she killed and carry it down to the other bodies where she chops off the rest of their heads and stands them all up in a nice, neat row on the end of their spears; all the while humming the new song she made up while she was chasing chicken-orc. After rubbing her hands in the dirt to get most of the blood off, she'll step back and survey her work and ask, "Target practice, anyone?" She laughs heartily but stops short when she hears the mention of ale. The monuments to her family's battle forgotten, she turns and enthusiastically says, "First round's on me!" She helps gather what's left to gather and joins her brothers in their march towards the nearest town ribbing them all the way there about anything and everything she can think of! "See now? Aren't you glad I came?!" If it takes too long for her to do all of the heads, she'll do as many as she can before they leave. She'll be more than happy to carry the key and just as happy not to. Whatever everyone decides.
Pulling her axe from the body of the dead orc with satisfying "SQQUUEELLCCHHH!", Kirra thinks to herself, "Yes! I'm so glad I came!!!" then takes off running at full throttle, still with that evil, yet happy, grin on her face, to chase the fleeing orc. Halfway through the run she starts singing a battle-song of her own composition, in common, hoping the orc she's chasing will understand, about how she's going to slice the chicken-orc into pieces and leave him for the carrion eaters! She has room to maneuver around the orc that she just killed which is what she will do.
HP 17/17; AC 18 After dropping the first orc, Kiira will utter a barbaric growl...very throaty and low with an intimidating smile on her face as she calmly steps up to the next orc looking him straight in the eyes. As she brings her axe up to attack, her growl becomes louder as it turns into the scream she let loose on her last attack. Nobody messes with her brothers! 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Upon noticing the orc scum, Kiira laughs then shouts out in dwarvish, "It's a good day to die, vermin!" She charges the nearest one singing a battle song dedicate to Haela Brightaxe. As she's running and loudly singing, she notices the javelins hit Khedron and her song turns into a loud battle cry.....a primal scream is more like it. I can't sign in to Invisible Castle for some reason. I've emailed them for help but I haven't heard back yet. I'll have to use the paizo dice roller for now. Kiira charges the nearest one which is hopefully one of the ones who hit Khedron. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 It brings her pleasure to take revenge upon the orc who hurt her brother! She fights with an evil grin on her face. If she hits she laughs, if she misses she screams louder! |
