While I already use HeroLab for this, I'd like to thank and praise you for your effort in creating and sharing this with us all.

This is the kind of attitude that makes any community stronger.

/tips my hat. :)

Thank you for the kind words. I really enjoyed putting this together and I hope some people other than me get some use out of it.

I'm still very much a beginner at this so it might take a little longer that I'd like to get some of these suggestions implemented.

Thanks again!

I'd suggest adding level increases, gear, class features, etc that impact ability scores handling bonus types correctly for the long term.

I've thought about that and I have it on my list for longterm goals for this. But initially I thought I'd just keep it to basic character creation.

But I do see this functionality coming later.

Thanks!

Seems functional. I like the interface for this one better though.

Key things, in my opinion:

  • I can easily see the cost of increasing an ability score.
  • Custom racial mods are allowed, letting me use non-core races.
  • I can also use the custom racial mods to effectively deal with the attribute bonuses every 4 levels, if looking at a character at a higher level.

I'll add those items to my backlog and see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback!

Works fine. Only criticism is that I would want the ability to put in a custom number of points. My home games frequently use either 16- or 18-point buy.

I've added that to my backlog! Thanks for the feedback. When I get that updated I'll post about it.

I don’t get it. The “remaining” doesn’t change, nor does Mod, Cost or Actual Mod. And what does “Actual points” mean, as that is the number that does change?

.

What browser are you using? I've tested on Chrome, Safari, Firefox and IE 9 and the Remaining updates for me as I spend points.

Actual Points is what is calculated after the racial modifier is taken into account.

I've been wanting to learn HTML/CSS and Javascript/jQuery. So as a small project I made an ability score calculator and I'm ready to share it with the community.

It's at: http://jody-white.com/pathfinder-ability-score-calculator

I'm looking for feedback, any issues, etc.

And one thing. I found the image I used here: http://www.eudogames.com/pathfinder. It looks like someone took the image from the beginner's box and overlayed the Pathfinder logo with it. I'm not sure if that's alright or not but I did include the disclaimer from Paizo's community use.
Can anyone give solid feedback if that image is ok to use?
