Born into a world of disapproval, Khaod was from the time he could walk despised for his grotesque appearance and unnatural strength. However, his heart was as noble as any knights, and for every sneer he received he did his utmost to prove his worth, both as a person as well as a valuable member of the small tribe-village he lived in. His early life was still not a happy one despite his good nature, only his mother seeing the good in him, but he stoically persevered. Eventually however, the jibes, threats and animosity all around him drove him away from his home and his mother and out into the wild world beyond.
It was not long before Khaod was picked up while wandering alone by a group of racially unbias Mercenaries. For the first time ever, besides the demeaning chores of looking after the camp and such, Khaod was not looked down upon for what he was, and he took great joy in proving his worth to the group, taking care of the sell-swords assorted weapons and armor with great care. Eventually, the leader of the Mercenaries took a shine to Khaod and agreed, after much jostling by his men to do so, to train him in the ways of war. He was surprised to find Khaod was a lot stronger than he had given him credit for, with a natural affinity to wear both armor and wield a heavy, two-handed weapon.
Khaod grew up quickly alongside the mercenaries, now joining them on assignments and testing his mettle in the thrill of combat. However, his companions noted that, in battle, Khaod would descend into an iron-clad whirlwind, roaring battle-cries and using his rage to power his already formidable strength into his blows. He, himself, saw battle as an outlet for his life in the village, channeling every exasperation into a strike, cleaving his weapon against his enemies in a silent contest to prove he was no monster, that he was not only half-orc he was half-human as well.
Eventually, Khaod left the company, now many years older and well-experienced in the ways of war. His companions wished him luck as he struck out on his own, knowing that the little half-orc boy they had found one night had finally become the warrior he had so desperately wanted to be.
