Thanks for the warm welcome.

I ran this adventure as a one of on New Years Eve. Told the players (6 of them) to prepare level 5 PC's. I hinted on beefing weapons and armor. They did not expect to have to keep the monsters alive. I picked up some feathers to throw at the table when the cockatrice attacked... what a hoot. The wizard got turned to stone almost right away. Paladin lost her armor (+1 Breastplate) to the rust monster... the look on her face was priceless... we role-played our buts off with the shocker lizards. The PC's had climbed up from the outside saw the lizards (two small one large) and at that point just stepped into the room to grab the potions (thinking they were the stone salve) to help the Wiz. No go. I felt just a little sorry for the guy just sitting on the sofa like that but a failed save is a failed save. By the time we got back to the lizards the only effect left was tongues. The rogue said to herself "Where did the big one go?" Another astonished look when the lizard replies "No more big." Ha Ha I was loving it. After a long struggle (-4 to attack to deal nonlethal damage) with the ravid and all the objects it had under its comand they finally get it into a cage. The bard casts cure light wounds... rest of the party groans as the bards backpack is animated... We had such a good time.

This is my first post.
