Sorry to jump into a conversation two years later, but unarmed strikes from a brawler absolutely DO NOT provoke attacks of opportunity.

Says it right in the rules: "You are considered to be armed even when unarmed—you do not provoke attacks of opportunity when you attack foes while unarmed."
