Entering the house, Keeshe looks around briefly while talking to the old lady. So what do you do here anyhow? I mean obviously you look after the kids.. but like what do you get out of it?

I know I wouldn't look after kids for free, blech!

"And what exactly do the kids do all day? You must have like activities and stuff for them to do, y'know so you don't go crazy?"

crazier...

Keeshe sighs, the ruse obviously having failed.

"Fine, you called our bluff... sorry, but the Shining Star really did ask us to check up on the kids. You have a job to do, so do we, why waste all our time with this? You sit down with us for a couple of minutes and talk inside the house, maybe let us speak to a kid or two, and we all get to go about our business, sound like a plan?"

Keeshe looks curiously at the group of men, seemingly walking away from the child care center, with the medicine still in their possession?!

She walks over to Alan, and whispers quietly. "What are you guys doing? Y'know part of delivering a parcel, is giving it to the recipient right?"

'Kept his supplier of whiskeys in business' well, if I had to look after kids for days on end, I guess I'd probably need a little something something too... but still, I'd also probably not choose to be in that profession either.

"I guess she likes her drink h-uh?... I mean, as long as she's sober around the kids, it wouldn't cause problems right? right?" She turns to see Chak-Chak leaving, and throws a glace towards the gnome woman.
"Is it just me... or does everyone just seem to wander off without us?" She sighs and follows towards the house.

Keeshe gives Alan her best 'I have no idea what you're talking about' look. "What, is the bearded halfling back?"

Without missing a beat, she turns towards the birdman, and addresses Chak-Chak. "I like talking to people! But, then, people say I talk too much, or too fast, or too randomly... apparently its not 'normal' to change topics every now and then" She makes 'air quotes' as she says the word normal.

It's resistant to normal weapons! Someone use the dagger, if not you Bird, toss it to someone else! She calls out, forgoing her attempted stealthy approach. "Avoid spells that create fire, or poisons as well." She says to the gnome.

Well my blade will likely prove fairly fruitless, may as well try magic. She thinks to herself.

Casting defensively, Keeshe throws a ball of acid towards the imp from the doorway, then moves slightly into the room. Leaving the area around the beast clear for her comrades who appear to have no ability to hit it from afar.

Realizing that unfortunately its unlikely she'll get to keep it, Keeshe reluctantly draws her blade from her side.

Throwing a glance at Chak-Chak as he draws his sword, Keeshe ponders aloud what the paracountess has stated. "She's not blind, I think she can tell we're all armed." Turning to Zarta and raising an inquisitive brow, she asks "I assume the letter opener isn't some kinda joke? Right?" Her voice hits a higher pitch as she finishes her sentence, as if pleading with the countess. Keeshe extends her hand towards Zarta palm upwards to accept the somewhat pathetic looking "weapon".

She thinks to herself. This better not be some sort of 'cut down the biggest tallest tree in the forest, with a herring' kindof thing

Outside the door while waiting an answer to the chime, Keeshe lets out an exacerbated sigh towards #72, the walk here had felt like an eternity in his silent company. I should have stayed talking with the other human, or maybe the gnome and the bird... or heck even the old man, he may not make sense but at least he tries.

As the manservant answers the door, her mood improves once more, the mission was at hand! She follows him as he leads the group through the building, trying to hide her sense of awe at the sheer size and style of the home.

Arriving in the paracountess' presence, Keeshe listens attentively as the group is addressed. Thinking quietly to herself about what is said. I guess what she said about devils makes sense, better to have them on your side than not, right?... wait did she just call me a teacake?

She shakes her head dismissing tangent thoughts to get back on track. She shifts her wait nervously from one foot to another as she speaks aloud. "Uh, yes, m'lady, we're here for the artifact..." She stops to think for a moment. "If you don't mind my asking, what is it exactly that we're fetching, our instructions weren't exactly clear"

Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
I assume knowing the districts' relative locations would fall under common knowledge (DC 10, attainable untrained)?

Running slightly to close the distance to #72, Keeshe lightly taps him on the shoulder, moving up beside him, then matching his pace. "Umm... you know the Ivy district is thatta way, right?" She points northeast. "I mean, that's where you wanted to go right?" She pauses again as she did when speaking to Alan, as if expecting her conversation partner to actually be able to get a word in before she hurriedly continued. "You pointed to the last task... that's the Ivy District, that's what you meant, right?..." She looks at him inquisitively before bluntly changing her own topic. "You're very quiet, anyone ever tell you that?" While a fairly accurate observation in this case (something that is quite uncommon for Keeshe), its not like she was really giving him a chance to respond...

She did hear the gnome introduce herself, and feels a bit bad not doing the same, and makes a mental note Say hello to the little woman, once I've got this damn silent human to wait up... and maybe actually go the right way!

As she passes off the letter, she notices the large man taking his leave. He's going without us! He's going without me!. Forgetting her conversation with Alan, she moves quickly, following #72, calling after him as she goes "Hey! Heeeey! We're supposed to be a teeeeeeam!"

Keeshe quietly but notably hurriedly closes her book, buckling it shut with its little metal clasp. She tucks the excess leather from the book's cover into her belt opposite her blade, beside her coin pouch.

Like this

She eyes the letter in Alan's hand excitedly. "Well, I think you have the answer to your question there..." She pauses, ever so briefly, as if about to give him time to answer. She then notes Alan's still outstretched hand, and remembers her manners. She takes his free hand in hers and shakes it twice quickly before letting go. "Oh right, um... nice to meet you Alan, I'm Keeshe" Pronounced phonetically

Keeshe barely notices the man approach her, only catching her attention when he addresses her, she looks up from her book, visibly somewhat startled.

She lets out a nervous laugh before answering him with her elvish accent. "I know, I know, I... I just want to make sure I'm ready, for... um... well for whatever it is we're doing. I need to make sure I know the right spells, goblins don't care if you've forgotten the words to magic missile before they stab you with their little pointy goblin swords" She furrows her brow, crinkles her nose, and makes several stabbing motions with her free hand as she speaks her last sentence. Her facial expression returns to normal shortly after, as she lets her mouth form a sheepish grin.

Entering the room, pacing nervously, a young elvan woman flips frantically through what one would assume is a spellbook. She looks not unlike a student before a big exam, trying to cram in every possible bit of knowledge before the big moment is upon her.

Incongruously to her apparent infatuation with her book, she wears a chain shirt over her clothes, and a curved blade hangs delicately from her belt, swinging back and forth with every step. The armor fits her comfortably and unobtrusively as though she is accustomed to wearing it regularly.

The rest of her clothing is fairly unspectacular, though of fairly good quality, a knee length dark leather skirt, sturdy boots, matching in colour, and a green cloth tunic, barely visible through the links of her armor.

On her back she sports a green cloak, with a brown leather knapsack overtop, the sack seems quite bulky likely carrying any supplies she might have felt necessary for her newly found purpose.

Her black hair falls unfettered down her back, and framing her face. Every now and then, between flipping pages, she pauses to brush unruly strands of hair from her emerald eyes, which continuously dart from one word to another.

She occasionally scans the room, though she appears mostly inattentive of her surroundings, narrowly avoiding bumping into a large oaf of a man (#72) as she enters the room.

People need to watch where they're going! -She thinks to herself. Throwing a glace quickly in the man's direction, she mumbles barely audibly "Sorry" and shrugs, smiling innocently, as she makes her way passed him.

I have good tendencies

Yea, my neutral characters generally tend towards good as well (PFS disallows strictly evil characters for a reason), I just find neutral gives me a little more wiggle room in terms of how I accomplish my (mostly) good intentions...

For instance in a recent game I've been playing with some RL friends, my Neutral Bard, while infiltrating a fort of (notably evil) ogres, barricaded a small building after hearing ogres inside, and burned it down with them inside, rather than having to deal with them head on... (something I doubt a goodly aligned character would approve of, burning trapped "people" alive isn't the nicest thing to do, evil or not).

For the most part, Keeshe probably thinks of herself as a good person, and if you gave her a list of a alignments to pick from, she'd probably say that she was chaotic good, or even neutral good (but I mean honestly, do evil characters even see themselves as evil?)... Overall her sense self preservation overrides her sense of good from time to time, pushing her towards neutrality... that's how I see this specific CN character, obviously people's view of Neutrality varies, and even one person's definition can change, depending on the character they are playing.

I just wanted to bring this up real quickly. I know PbP dosn't normaly use maps however I was thinking if everyone has excel maps could be part of the game (I work with excel for my job).

One cell could = 5sq feet. The GM could have a version of the map with all the positions of badies or NPCs and to announce movement players would use blue text and say moves to N4 to denote which cell or square they're moving to. Terrain and walls could be denoted by filling in a cell with color.

It's just a thought and I know normaly PbP dosn't use maps at all but if everyone is interested and has excel it could work.

edit: I just realised that excel files can be saved as PDFs so it could work even if people didn't have excel.

If you're wanting to get a bit fancy, could make a shared googledoc it works like excel, but doesn't require excel since google hosts the file. Again only if Tek and players wanna do it.

Quick question, I'm finishing my Witch right now but I need to know how many spells I can pick at level 1, is it the same as wizard? The book is kinda vague in some places with witch. Also do I learn spells from scrolls, I know my familiar can.

Be careful with it though, as it is a collection of many books, and does include 3rd party stuff as well much of which wouldn't be legal in a PFS game. That said, as long as you pay attention to the sources (which it generally provides links to) it is a great place to check up on rules.

I'd totally be in on this if you guys'd have me. I have a lot of DnD experience, but relatively little Pathfinder (though they are similar...) Haven't done a PbP before so that'd be new for me too.

I'd probably wanna play a Magus, they look mad cool (and I think they're legal in PFS? they are mentioned briefly in the guide), likely an elf... if we're wanting shorties for giggles though, I could totally do a halfling.

Edit - (started filling in the info for a character)
