Thank you! That helps.
I can't remember what thing I was reading, and a random encounter had a Hill Giant. Nearly impossible for the party to defeat, but there was some way to get the Giant to leave them alone, so would you reward then party 3,200xp? Or is there a different CR level the party should receive?

Question about awarding CR experience. When a party of level 1's have an encounter that is to high for them to succeed at fighting, what amount if any experience do you give the party for the encounter? Example: they talk their way out of it, they run, hide, or what ever, but they don't kill the high level CR.

Do you happen to know of any in the Visalia area?

I am new to Pathfinder and the sheets are great, but going through things step by step, did I miss something?

1) Where is Class?
2) What about the separation of the Perception skills...?
It is nearly midnight, I may be missing something or interpreting it incorrectly. Any assistance would be great.

1 = Class is entered in the slot marked 'character level', which is why it is fairly long. It could be clearer.

2 = Separation of Perception? I know there are occasional modifiers based purely on single sense, like the scent ability or low-light vision but these are handled as extra modifiers. Perhaps you are a 3.5 player, that system had two perception skills?

Thank you! That helps!

Has this been changed or updated since 2010? Email daily notifications would be great.

I took part in the Holiday 10% discount, but I have been wondering if Paizo ever offers a discount on electronic versions? I have a list of items that are currently only available in PDF format but a 10% electronic discount off $100 would be really cool.

I just wanted to post... I played some D&D1 and 2, but when 3 hit I lost interest. About a month ago I found my old computer CDs of Baldur's Gate and it sparked my interest of "what has been going on in the D&D world..." I find out 3.5 is now open, D&D 4 seems even more confusing than 3, and then this gem, Pathfinder, pops up... I started reading some stuff, and I can say I'm hooked on Pathfinder.

@Luna - Pathfinder is different than 1 and 2, but it has a good feel. It has that old school feel just because Pathfinder is based on the history of RPG history. I think if you run it with what some of the veterans have posted you will do fine.
