"Let's leave everything here, in the cave." suggests Kavon after inspection the possessions of the double-headed giant. "We probably won't need all of this in the near future." He then turns to the Brill-Mane.
With that done, he shows him the bark roll and asks, "Brill-Mane, can you read this?"

DM, I forgot about my Arcane Polyglot thingie. Arcane Polyglot:
Arcane Polyglot: Prymidians can speak and understand the language of any intelligent creature they encounter, whether it is a racial tongue or a regional dialect. In addition, a prymidian can cast read magic at will as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to his Hit Dice. This ability only applies to spoken languages. A prymidian does not retain the ability to speak or understand when not in the presence of a creature speaking that language. Does it work now, or do I have to be face-to-face with a speaker of an unknown language?

"Grab me like that again and you will find some new holes in you that shouldn't be there." hisses Kavon. He draws breath and quickly considers Aayalla's words.
Kavon looks at everyone. "I'm with Aayalla on this - ambush is rarely a bad option." Prymidian casts a hesitant glance at Brill-Mane. I hope he doesn't have some foolish "code of honor". @Aayalla - Good point.

Skill Checks:
GENERAL: Why can you hear Grimshaad’s voice inside your head? Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Science: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 SPECIFIC: What are all those damn mosaics about?
Religion 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Religion 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Kavon takes a seat. I must say, I am yet to see the more unusual business offer. I wonder what it is so important, that the Church gathered us all here in the middle of nowhere? Despite somewhat grumbling tone, his eyes show a great interest in what he might hear in this place.

Hey everyone! DM Grimshaad wrote: Please dot these new threads asap once they are up. In addition, post your most common/comfortable posting hours, your work hours, your time zone, and what level of detailed brutality you are comfortable with rp-wise (I favor descriptive brutality akin to Warhammer 40k novels), as I don't want to unsettle anyone with my descriptive combat style. My time zone is GMT+7, working (or rather academic) hours are from 1:00 GMT till 7:00 or 8:00 GMT. After that I'm mostly free till about 19:00 GMT. I'm okay with your example of descriptive brutality, though not sure if I'm going to use it myself. |
