Why, oh Why, is the sword cane not eligible for use with fencing grace? To my understanding the blade of a sword cane is just a slightly smaller version of the rapiers.

Since catch off-guard can be used for butt-strikes with reach weapons if the enemy steps inside your 10ft reach I was wondering whether you could potentially transform say a spear (the 5ft reach kind) into what would effectively be a double weapon by using catch off-guard and two-weapon fighting and using the spear head as the first attack and the butt as an improvised weapon as the off-hand attack.
