DM Max wrote: ”That’s all ye need? Well o’ course!” Ol’ Nell exclaims, evidently thinking that Karthas was going to ask for something - or someone - else. ”First batch I’ve made since young Hiram helped me get th’ still back t’gether’s finally ready. Good stuff too, if I do say so meself! I reckon I can spare ye four jugs.” She pauses, and then adds in a lower tone, ”Just be careful an’ don’t jar ‘em too much or drop ‘em when yer travelin’ with ‘em, ye ken?” The Kellid raises an eyebrow at the final comment, "An extra potent batch I take it?" he asks, slowly and carefully moving the jugs. Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 While traveling back and forth between the wagon and Ol' Nell, Suny catches the barbarian's eye. "Um, Suny? While I'm sure the guards and the former bandits around here appreciate your....openess, you had probably better cover up a bit, alright?" Once he has all of the jugs loaded on the wagon, Karthas makes one final comment to Ol' Nell having noted her earlier relief that he was only ask for some of her "medicine". "Have no worries, Nell, we'll have the conversation you thought we were going to have should I make it back from dealing with this Stag Lord." he says, adding a wink.

Arriving back at Oleg's, Karthas leaves discussion with Kesten to the druid as he makes his way quickly to Ol' Nell. "Nell, could I have a bit of your time?" the Kellid asks, uncharacteristically polite, half because he knows he must as something of the aged woman and half because of the occasional glares he still receives from Nell because of all of the time he spends with Vianne. Assuming Ol' Nell agrees... "Nell, I'm sure you remember your captor's comments about the Stag Lord's fondness for drink. I would like to have a few cases of your 'medicine' so that we may sneak into his fort and put and end to him. Is this something you could help me with.?"
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
"Garik, as the others have told you, we are true to our word. As long as you forsake banditry, and choose to lead a life that causes no harm to anyone else, you will." The Kellid's tone grows more grim prior to saying, "Make no mistake though, this second chance is your final chance. Should you return to your previous ways, there will be no mercy. Do I make my self clear, Garik?" "The plan to sneak into the Stag Lord's fort is a good one. Suny, if you are willing to play the part of a prisoner, that would certainly lend some believablity to our plot."

I believe this was posted in the wrong discussion group. I do not believe we are looking for any more players at the momement. Do I have that right Max?

The massive Kellid walks over to the bound man. "Many of my friends would be willing to put you to a quick death. You'll get no such kindness from me." he says reaching for his dagger. "I will allow you one choice though, shall I start with your fingers or your toes? Of course you could avoid all of this if you would cooperate." Intimidate:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 There's the Karthas I know :)
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Having only one living still hostile target, Karthas moves into a flanking position with Mikmek and strikes at the remaining bandit Move to (AG,11) Attack:1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 = 15 (flank)
Apparently the big guy is starting to get tired...he actually missed :(
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Karthas quickly checks behind him, noting that Euron, Niko, Suny, and Mikmek have things well in hand before hacking at the bandit in front of him with another. Attack:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
The scarred Kellid nods appreciatively in Jhod's direction before stepping slightly to his left, and into a flanking position with Edrukk. Once again, the barbarian swings his blade, intent on ending the lives of two more bandits. Move to (P,15) primary attack on (P,16), cleaving into (Q,16) Primary Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 1 + 1 = 25 (bard song, flank, power attack, higher ground)
Cleave Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 - 1 + 1 = 17 (bard song, power attack, higher ground)
Dangit! Only the shadows save the second bandit...
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Karthas, seeing that Euron and Niko have the bandits on the ground well in hand, heads back up the stairs, stopping in a flanking position with Suny. Once in position, he takes a heavy swing at the flanked bandit, cleaving into the bandit in front of Edrukk. Move to (O,15) Primary Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 27 (bard song, flank, power attack)
Cleave Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 9 (bard song, power attack)
Should be just out of the pugwampi aura due to elevation difference. EDIT: Well....hopefully Edrukk already killed the one in front of him.
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
The Kellid steps forward to (R, 11) and takes another swing at the retreating bandit. Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 27 (bard song, power attack) - potential crit!
Confirm?:1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 25 (bard song, power attack)
Ouch! That is a very dead bandit I imagine...
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Angered even further by his inability to strike down the bandits in front of him a moment ago, takes another massive swing in the direction of the bandit on his left, with the intent of continuing the swing on into the man next to him. Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 22 (bard song, higher ground, power attack)
Cleave Attack:1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 14 (bard song, higher ground, power attack)
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Blood lust fills the massive, scarred Kellid brings back his already bloodied blade and takes a massive swing at the bandit to his left, attempting to carry the strike through to the next bandit. Attack:1d20 + 8 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 - 1 + 1 + 1 = 11 (power attack, higher ground, inspire courage)

DM Max wrote: ”Back again?” A voice calls from within the cave. A moment later, a female half-elf dressed in hunter’s leathers descends the stairs, greeting the group with a warm smile and hugs for Karthas and Euron. Her smile remains as she welcomes the others but her expression becomes one of puzzlement as she scans the newcomers’ faces. ”Karthas? Where’s Eseldra and Tyr? Don’t tell me you’ve lost them as well?” "Good to see you again, Rani. Looks like you've had Bregan and Dorn quite busy while were gone.", the Kellid says with a smile. Noting the puzzled look on the Erastilian priestess's face, "I'm afraid Eseldra and Tyr have left us to pursue other tasks. See what you started when you left us?" he says with a grin and wink. "You've already met Euron but allow me to introduce you to my new traveling companions, Rani, meet Suny, Yelena, and Edrukk. Suny, Yelena, and Edrukk, meet Raninr Alford, the mistress of this shrine."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
"I would assume that we are still heading toward the temple." the Kellid says, mounting his horse. "The sooner we are on our way the better." he continues, obviously not wanting to spend any more time with the fey creatures. Later, along the trail, Karthas rides up next to Euron Euron or DC 20 Perception Check: "While I would like to go after the Stag-Lord too, I would rather see what our new companions can do in combat first. Calling other-worldly creatures and dancing displays are one thing, real combat is another."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
DM Max wrote: Perlivash zooms over to hover in front of Karthas. ”You know, the fey’ri? Dark hair…pointed ears…swishy tail that she tried to hide under her clothes?” the diminutive dragon asks slowly as if speaking to an obtuse adolescent. ”The demon-blooded elf. She was quite entertaining.” "Oh, you mean Eseldra. She had other issues to attend to." The Kellid says trying to hide his distaste for dealing with the fey creature. DM Max wrote: ”So now that we’re all friends, I have to ask: Why are you here?” Perlivash asks pointedly. "My original companions and I have been issued a charter by the government of Brevoy to scout and map the Greenbelt. Beyond that our charter required us to quell the bandit activity in the area."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
"I'm not sure what a fey'ri is, but if you are referring to one of my former companions, they have left the expedition in favor of more pressing matters." "Why yes, we do pass through here often, often enough that you should know that we mean you or your friend no harm. It shall continue to stay that way should your ever present prank cease."

DM Max/Vianne:
"I would be honored to wear this pendant, Vianne. Have no worries, we will return safely and before you even have much of a chance to know we were even gone." As the young woman begins to leave, the Kellid speaks softly to her, "Take care of yourself and your family, I will return to you soon." Yelena Shukhov wrote: "I suppose we need to set a watch, which gives me a perfect reason to summon my eidolon. As an outsider to this plane of existence, they do not require food, water, or sleep. He can watch us all night while we rest. After all, we don't want any crankypants in the party because they didn't get enough sleep!" "I doubt any amount of sleep is going to keep me from being too cranky, but the offer is appreaciated" The massive Kellid is obviously taken aback a bit by the appearance of Sparklelord. "Greetings....well met. Sparklelord was it?" Edrukk Igmar wrote: "If possible, we should have 2 people on watch at all times to cover multiple approaches, with the horses as close to the middle as possible. I can take midnight watch; the darkness doesn't bother me, and I find the quiet of that hour to be quite soothing." "That seems like a good idea, Edrukk. I will take one of the watches, it does not matter to me which."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
"I was thinking that we'd head just southwest of the hot springs, and explore eastward from there until we run into that bridge." he says, pointing at the bridge. in hex E5 "After that? Who knows, we'll see how things are going at that point. Euron you have any other thoughts on the matter?"
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Euron Kelredis wrote:
"Agreed, five should be enough. We'll leave in the morning. Suny, Yelena, Edrukk...welcome to the expedition." Yelena Shukhov wrote: ""Tomorrow would be most wonderful! Where have you been so far? Have you seen anything interesting? Have you had to kill anything?" Karthas pulls out the map of the Greenbelt and what the Chartered Six had explored prior to their dissolution. "We've had to kill a few things, mostly bandits though. We have even given a few of those a chance to repent and change their ways, a story that is pretty close to my own heart, but that's a story for another time." "Let's see what else has there been...hmmm... there were the Mites and their pet centepede, a pair of werewolves, a crazed bear, a kobold shaman...Oh what did Eseldra say he was, I believe she said that he was a summoner, like you, Yelena. Did I miss anything, Euron?"
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Euron Kelredis wrote:
"Good to meet you Yelena and Suny." Karthas says mustering what few social graces he has. "That sounds about right, Euron. I don't believe we really had a plan of attack other than continuing to keep hitting his groups out in the greenbelt so that he wouldn't have too many others with him at his fort." The Kellid continues on, addressing the newcomers, "While I am certainly not opposed to having you join us, I would like to know what your capabilities are...its always good to know the abilities of your allies."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Edrukk Igmar wrote: "That does seem to present challenges on both counts. Perhaps if you explain further what precisely you are looking for, I can help you communicate it to others." "Where once we were six, and recently more than six, only two of us remain. Euron and I are both capable warriors, Euron has a great deal of skill for dealing with the natural world, and I am capable of being moving without being seen and can deal with the occasional lock. We lack expertise in the realms of the arcane. While I am not particulary fond of the arcane art, I do conceed that it has its uses. Beyond that we seek those who are willing to bring bandits to justice and provide useful skills in the wild."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Edrukk Igmar wrote: "Your friend seems to be having a bit of trouble writing. Trying to break bad news to family back home?" "No, not that. It seems that our band of explorers has by and large disbanded. Euron and I are the only ones left and we were thinking of recruiting others to join us. Unfortunately, neither one of us is very skilled in the arts of communication, and we having difficulty deciding how to word it."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Edrukk Igmar wrote: "That will do nicely." Edrukk slips his backpack and cloak off, handing them to the stablehand before sitting down. "A pleasure to meet you. I am Edrukk, of late a wanderer and drifter hoping to find a place to settle my backpack permanently. You must have some fascinating stories to tell if you have been fighting the bandits and whatever else around here decided you looked like a good lunch." Karthas extends his hand to the dwarf, "Like Svetlana said, my name is Karthas. Well met, Edrukk." "Not much of a storyteller myself. Typically I leave that sort of thing to Berenkor, but I can tell you we've seen our fair share of bandits, mites, werewolves, mud giants, worgs, and other assorted nasties out there."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Euron Kelredis wrote: "So, it's just us two. While we were certainly the best warriors, I suggest we find ourselves a couple more folks 'afore we continue. While 'twas no place for a woman, Cinder and Eseldra's magic had come in handy more n' once." "As much as I am wary of spell-slingers, it is true. Not to mention Jamison's, and before him Rani's, connection with Old Deadeye was certainly helpful." he says absent-mindedly rubbing one of his many scars. Euron Kelredis wrote:
Karthas laughs hearing Euron's reservations about the groups now former name. "We can certainly come up with something else if you would like. The name came from Berenkor, not me. Hell, we do not even have to have a name for our group if we do not want." Euron Kelredis wrote:
The massive barbarian does his best to match Euron's hushed tones, "Could be a possibility. Let's watch him for a bit...see how he treats Oleg and Svetlana first. I would hate to invite him to join us and then have to pummel him to death for mistreating our hosts. Karthas then turn his attention back to Berenkor for a moment, "You know anything about the dwarf over there? He been through here before?"
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
Karthas shakes his head in disbelief as yet another member of the original six leaves. Turning his attention to Berenkor and Harther, the Kellid says, "When we left on this journey, I always assumed I would have been the one to leave our little band of explorers. Seems now that I am the only one left to continue on." Realizing that some of his words could be taken the wrong way, "No offense meant to you, Euron. I know you have been with us a fair amount of time, just not since the beginning."
Male Kellid Human Barbarian 2 / Rogue (Scout) 2
DM Max wrote: Karthas, if you would like to trade out the Boots of Elvenkind for something else, feel free to do so as well. Think I'll leave Karthas as is. Thought about switching out the boots for a +1 Greatsword, but then remembered he had made good use of the boots to the tune of a 30+ Acrobatics check to jump and kill an eidolon earlier in the game.

Eseldra wrote: Eseldra looks quite pleased at the gifts and gives Harther a friendly kiss on the cheek. Then she levels another frosty stare (with twitching tail) at Karthas just because and returns to her seat. "Oh get over it Eseldra, I made a comment...what part of barbarian do you not understand. I even managed to catch it myself for once...albeit after the fact."
