I am sure they are thankful I left the ranch in their care and am out seeing the world."

Karlia kept a look out around them as she shrunk back down and went back to normal.
Not having to hold her shifting for herself she would lash out with claws and fangs both.
If in reach she would reach out a claw striking out at it trying to divert its attention away from Opi. Though to be fair Opi was doing some impressive damage.
Calling on the power of the Goddess of the moon, she feels her form grow in size as claws and fangs grow along with a slight white fur coat with rosettes. She doesn't quite go full animal though as she took a step closer to Opi and growls at the ogre to get its attention.
Having hesitated for a moment she shifted and would see the two large ogres. "Hawk you want to be as big as they are?"
Karlia stiffened. "I just saw a woman that looked like it was in the tattered remnants of a fine dress. She went that way." Pointing deeper in the garden. Sniffing the air seeing if she could catch her sent.
Karlia chuckled. "You would need more than a gardener but I could see the appeal of such a place. When I was younger I always had the dream of having a nice house and stables that bred the finest horses across the land."
Haven't replaced you yet. It is summer things tend to slow down during this time because of vacations and work.
Karlia would gently remind her to use gloves and would keep a watchful eye out happy with her low light vision for the darkness under the twisted canopy of the trees. Also she gave herself the ability to scent out strange smells.
"Well, nothing says good luck like people looking sympathetic." Shifting she let Opi pull them open as she studied the area within the gates and even checked if here was any magic residue on the gates or around them.
"A quick jaunt will work. Plus, it will give us a small idea of what to expect." She agrees and smiles at the druid. "If I had the talent for druidism I would want a tree like this but alas my path is different."
"Do we still have time today?" Karlia would turn looking outside scanning the horizon to see how much daylight they had left.
Karlia nodded and would make a mental note to go grab gloves, sacks and some pruning sheers. Doing that type of work was something she actually understood. Her fingers itched to pet the tiger but she wasn't rude. "I can collect such samples. We will have to stop to get glove and sheers along with things to hold the samples in. Might not be bad to have a face covering for all of us too." Reaching out she would take the pair of bottles and stares at them trying to sense the magic inside of them.
Karlia nearly jumped for joy seeing the tiger. She had never seen one before and she let it sniff her as her hand reached out to stroke it. She wanted to study it so she could learn its form. To, to transform into such a beauty.... Realizing suddenly she was being rude she flushed. "My apologies ma'am. I am Karlia Moondancer. These are my companions Hawk and Opi." She didn't think it needed to be said why they were here.
Karlia looked up at the tree and sighed. "I would love to have a home like this. Can you imagine the view from the top." Grins at Opi as she would walk up behind her having paused to stare at it.
Karlia smiles. "I will go in to pay respects. But I will ask again. Do you know where we can find Leah Redoak?" she asked the Acolyte unintentionally taking the mother tone of voice she did with her siblings.
"We can also talk to Leah Redoak. Where would we find her?" Karlia wondered what was wrong with the parishioner. Not that she was much of a healer but her own natural curiosity.
She would stand and bow slightly before heading after Opi
"Who would you advise us to talk to for more information?" She asked after a bit.
Leaning back she would muse on what she has heard so far. Right now there seemed no motivation for such an act but these things were rarely that easy to figure out. "What would scare the local populace. Magic wise and such?" She was more worried about fear of lycan's and the like but she wanted to see if there was anything else that may cause panic. It was always good to know.
"What history can you share of them and the town? She asked quietly remembering she was the one to talk about history. "Having been from a small town I know news travels fast. Good information though is from those who really pay attention. You strike me as that type." Karlia's tone was genuine and she truly seemed to size the woman up.
Smiling at Jasmine she figured silence was best for her. To be fair she looked more like an overprotective mom than the young woman she seemed to be.
Kalia smiled amused at the both of them and waved to the bard. "It may be best to let them ask. I tend to come off a little rough."
Kalia chuckled lightly listening to Hawk and turned to the proprietor. "I will make sure he behaves."
Karlia's knowledge of religions really only extended to her own. The joys of being a country bumpkin. Also, she was the type to come off as rough and coarse when talking to people. "I could go talk to Sarah if you all wish. I am not much one for flowery talk to be honest. It would also benefit me to learn more about the gods." She asked. "Since I am sure you will have your hands full with Miss Jasmine."
"I guess that means I will talk to everyone else." She said in light jest. "Thank you. What can you tell us of Sir Richard?"

Karlia just shook her head and chuckled. "Yesterday a bird and today you want to try to be a woman. You are indeed amusing Hawk." She teases and stands. "Thank you for your time." Following Opi out and towards the inn she wondered if he was afflicted by the curse himself. His stiff movements seemed weird. Smiling at the inn keeper she would get them a room or two.
"Monsters? Are there physical changes involved. If so, it is a specialty of mine and I can see what can be done to negate it. We will bring you what we can. What happened to those who went before us?" She wondered if it was alchemical or magical in nature. Curses were tricky business. "I think we should ask around town and where is this mansion."
"How long ago was this event, where did it happen exactly. The wedding? What is the particular's of the curse? How did it Kill Lord Byron? Or nearly take out Lord Alistair? It is suspicious that the Lady has disappeared. If you were not informed of those particular things then I can understand. Why is the ground dangerous?" Karlia said as she looked at him.
"We had merely heard that a pair of newly weds had gone missing and someone was looking for help."
"Please remind me again who Byron is? You will have to forgive this country bumpkin for not knowing who that is." She looked at him genuinely trying to remember the name. Events had been kind of hectic.
Karlia would look him in the eye as she slowly studied his posture and the way he walked. Taking a moment she would look at the way his clothes fit. Was he in a type of brace? Following him she looked around the house as she went and once in the parlor she would move to a seat if he indicated one. "I am Kalia Moondancer. I heard it has been some time."
Karlia smiles at those that looks and waves being her normal friendly self. If people were more at ease with them then the more open they would be. After a bit once they found a stable for her horse she would go with the group to talk to Richard Arien's home. Once there she would knock.
"Agreed, I will need to buy food supplies for my companion and I suggest we restock first also. Do either of you wish for mounts?"
"Hah, get some sleep we have traveling in the morning. I can hunt along the way for us to supplement food." Karlia stays up a little longer before sliding off into sleep. The Moon Goddess would watch over them quietly after all.
"Well, animal and avian I can do. I think I finally figured out a way to effect multiple people but it will have to be tested. But I could effect even you with the transformations." She said with a chuckle. "I can also alter sizes. Give me a bit of prep and I could enhance your weapons."

"The wind usually blows you where you are needed. If that is as a hero then so be it. I know most would frown upon my abilities to shift so we will see how it goes." She was riding her horse calmly, its easy slow gate relaxing to her. One of the few horses her and her sisters had managed to save from being taken.

Kalia would head towards the stables taking her horse and the goods there. It would be a dry place to keep everything and she wanted to bed down her horse. "Opi, I will settle my horse and help them put the goods in a good spot if you will see if we can get sleeping space."
Kalia chuckled. "Yeah some Ladies will hurt you if you try." Helping her horse and the wagon in she would close the gate behind them latching it again. "So who do we talk to about getting room and board or getting you guys squared away." This was a light hearted question considering the town was quieter this time of night.
Karlia would see if there was something around to make a lot of noise. If not she would look to the others before going to the gate to make a racket.
Karlia wiped her brow. No stranger to hard work it was still a bit of work. Seeing the wooden barricade around it she would chuckle knowing she could get over it but that would cause panic and trouble. "Shall we wake someone up? I can always fly up and peak in first."
She will help loading everything up and getting it prepped. That would probably take some time too.
