Another specific question, this time on how exactly a druid is able to use spells. Obviously clerics for example get their spells directly from a deity. The question is, does a druid who worships no deity, but just has a kinship with nature, still obtain the use of spells through a deity's blessing?

My character is an atheist and will be a Purity Legion Enforcer, and as such has an issue with any kind of casting obtained through divine influence. Obviously, druids cast divine spells but the specific question is what is the source of their casting is they worship no god.

This thread helped me with my current character idea of being an atheist and rejecting any divine spells and divine intervention. Thanks all.

Thank you all for the replies. My other question I had would be if you could tell whether or not an artifact was created by divine power or mortal power. (Also including any divine spellcasting class such as a cleric)

The reason I ask is the new character I'm creating will become a Puirty Legion Enforcer and his whole mind set is that any divine interference in the world should be stopped. Including artifacts. So if it were made by a spellcasting class that isnt divine he would be okay with it.

Thanks all.

I had a specific question that more then likely hasn't come up often. My question is, are all artifacts created by a deity? As opposed to a powerful wizard creating an artifact.

Miracle, being something you can already cast, is a start, and since you *own* the demiplane, would probably be enough of a spell to level it and reform it to your desires. Repeated castings, mind you.

Cleansing the evil would probably not be possible while it is still in the Abyss. Getting it out of the Abyss is the biggest problem though. Since your character isn't a deity, he'll probably need to get one of them to help him out with this (maybe his patron?), particularly since this is a former divine realm. I would assume some portion of the divine requirements to purge the demiplane from the Abyss would likely be "Kill that Deskari guy, then we'll talk."

Perhaps you can bargain with a deity for X centuries of servitude for them to hold the evil of the abyss at bay within the confines of the demi-plane while you attempt the Test of the Starstone and work toward outright divinity.

Since you're already max ranks and level, there's not really any more mythic trials for you to accomplish to do this, but each 'step' you need to go through to purge the plane is probably on equivalent to MR9's trials to get to 10.

Thanks very much for the advise! I will definately need to speak with my G.M. about this and is something I'm looking forward to. Also, the Startstone test is definatley something that Kalan would want to do. His arrogance will eventually be the end of him. lol.

But for now he will maintain the plane and attempt his best to purge it of evil until it is possible for its removal from the abbyss. Was thinking of use Gate to bring in some powerful allies, Azata's maybe, and seek aid in its cleansing.

Thanks for the advice!

I would say ultimately, as much as it isn't a helpful answer... Ask your GM.

archmagi1's suggestions are already great, and I am sure if you petition to your GM some or all may be approved by them.

What one person thinks is a great idea, another might think just doesn't fit their campaign world.

My main question to you is however, why are you trying to do this? It is clearly within your characters power (or the power of their patrons and allies) to create your own demiplane exactly how you like it.

It seems more of an inconvenience to try and clear out, resculpt and rebuild the entire Labyrinth than just to create a brand new demiplane of your own.

More so of his completely flawed view of how the world works as he tries to expunge all evil from existence. A fruitless and impossible task but one his immature and idealistic mind believes possible and he will stop at nothing to do that.

The fun of playing out a character concept fully ^^

To start it off my character, Kalan, is a hybrid class of sorcerer/cleric/mystic thurge. I can cast 9th lvl cleric spells and 5th lvl sorcerer spells. We just completed the 5th book of Wrath of the Righteous and had just killed Baphomet. His realm, the Ivory Labyrinth, was crumbling to pieces when my D.M. let me make some appropriate checks and a lot of luck to be able to find a way to become the new ruler of the realm. Kalan, an arrogant unstoppable in his own mind 17 year old, took the chance without a second thought and it just so happened I got lucky enough to become the new ruler of the Ivory Labyrinth.

Now, my question/advice I need is on how to exactly sculpt the plane to my own will and what limitations there are. I would like to be able to level out the realm and completely destroy the maze, as well as adjust time to go faster in the Ivory Labyrinth, something like 1 day on the material plane is a month or so in my plane. Also, I'd like to bring in some allies to repopulate this plane as well as cleanse it from the evil in it currently. The other thing I thought of is that it is currently in the Abyss technically, is there any way to change that short of divine intervention?

I appreciate anyone's advice and look forward to recreating the plane. ^^

Hello, I am playing a sorcer/cleric/mystic thurge, we are playing Wrath of the Righteous so i am mythic. I am 1 lvl sorceror, 3 lvl cleric, and 6 lvl mystic thurge right now, Mythic level 3. straight caster no weapons at all.

Now that you know my character, my dilemma is that my one arm had recent been lost, through an acidic explosion of sorts, which leaves me in a predicament. I know I can cast with just one arm free as a caster so thats not the issue. The main issue is that I possess a legendary artifact called the paupers thighbone, a sort of rod used for metamagic feats, which I must hold in my hand to use. Except I need a hand free to cast spells. Now i already have Still spell as a feat, but the thighbone allows me to use my meta magic feats without increasing the spell level. So there would be no reason to use it at that point. (until I get maximize spell and the like)

Now the question is, is there a way for me to use the rod while still maintaining my one remaining hand free to cast spells? Whether it be some way to magic hold the rod and cast it, or something of the like.

I was thinking mage hand or something of the like, telekinesis maybe, but i must concentrate on those spells and then cannot cast a spell while concentrating so that went out the window.

Now i realize I could get my arm regenerated but at the time it is not possible. (plus it plays a really interesting twist to my character and back story)

Thank you all for responses.
