After the initial questioning he will converge once more with Corvus and Ailith."I suggest we try to find out more about the unsavory Twilek that was mentioned. Perhaps if we talk with him we could get a little more information on who he's working for."

Kael follows his new Twilek companion and his old Jedi ally. Making small talk along with the other two in an attempt to find information about Switch, as well as keeping an eye out for any authority, or anyone taking notice of the trio asking about Switch.

"As would I." Kael states with a smile glancing over at Ailith and Corvus.

Kael Shrugs at Mr Marius' question and his eyes trail off"Unfortunately as a Youngling raised during the clone wars, the Republic, and therefore the Jedi council placed more value on our lightsaber than our healing or negotiating." There is a tone of bitterness in his voice. He smiles in an attempt to cover it up and turns to his fellow Jedi"But I can't speak for Corvus."

Kael's eyes linger on Corvus, and he can sense her feelings of doubt but decides not to press the issue as he turns his attention to Maya." It would be an honor to assist you in this Endeavor, Although after today's events, I'm not sure any of our reputations are cleaner in the eyes of the Empire than yours."

Kael Smiles at Ansic's words half-heartedly."There is harmony, Ansic." He begins with an excerpt of the Jedi code."This rising Empire has been ushered in on the coat-tails of tragedy but it is not without cause. Every event has a purpose. Death, however, is not a tragedy and is merely a part of the life cycle. Without death, life could not exist.I do not over mourn the death of so many Jedi, as the Force in them lives on." He says as his mind goes momentarily back to the death of his master. "I fear what you speak of is revenge, and not justice. My feelings of anger and despair can be understood, but emotion cannot take away my peace." He smiles wider now, feeling at one with the force during this monologue. " Regardless, while the Empire carelessly terrorize the galaxy, I and every Jedi left in the galaxy have an obligation to defend the weak from those who oppress them."

The droids question brings feelings to the surface that Kael had did his best to let go of. Anger, Despair, Fear, Doubt...He pushed these things down again and found himself absent mindfully twiddling with his lightsaber. "Admittedly I'm not sure how many are left. I was the only one I knew of for sure until I saw Corvus again." He says as he pauses to look her way. "Admittedly, I can only sense an alarmingly low number of them through the force." He says as his voice trails off a bit as his eyes are downcast."But I was never the strongest force user in the academy." He says with a smile, an attempt to curb the obvious assumption that most of them were dead, and that was why he couldnt feel them through the force. "Furthermore any Jedi who could make it out of Imperial space or do their best to hide has done so...So I suppose the members of our order are rather few and far-between. He explains.

Kael raises a brow as he gives the droid a stern looking-over before his expression returns to a smile." I think i might recognize you HK, but then again maybe all clunky droid types look the same?" He says with a slight shrug.

He then turns his attention to Mr.Marius and nods, solemnly content with his explanation, he decides it's best to leave well enough alone.

The question coaxes a laugh from Kael "HK-22, If you were on Coruscant, then it's possible. But i try not to dwell on being stunned and knocked into a ravine."

Kael greets those around him warmly, shaking the hand of each, even that of HK-22. Once this is done he leans softly upon a wall and waits for Maya's explanation.

Kael relinquishes his grip on the hand of Corvus as he slides his saber back up his sleeve. He'll move out into the alley behind the three and put a bit of haste in his step to catch up with them"Your wounds," He starts as he notices the woman showing no pain in her gait."Your wounds are gone." he says in mild astonishment. He had thought the woman would bleed out from a glance without a bacta tank and now she seemed fine only less than a minute later. Had his observation been so mistaken? He put the thought away from the front of his mind and pressed forward glancing back to see the gran who covered them and smiled. "Ansic is right, we need to lay low and I certainly wouldn't mind setting down for a talk as this encounter has seemed to have thrown us all in the same lot, despite it's brevity."He remarks thoughtfully before pausing with a half-smile." My name is Kael. I thank you Ansic for covering my exit."

I agree with thrikeed in the fact that running combat the way we just did will always get my personal vote as I think it's the most fair to players as it allows them to aid one another, ready and hold actions, and so on and so forth.

That being said, I understand how it can slow things down in a 1-2 post a day per person pbp.

Ultimately, it's up to you I think, I like individual initiative, but that's because it isn't any trouble for me. If you think group initiative would be easier then by all means, let's try that. If worse comes to worse we can simply try something else.

Heeding the gran's words, he switches off his saber and Turns to run inside "The Credit Chip". He takes Corvus by the hand insisting she come along. His heart was nearly pounding out of his chest and he struggled to keep his thoughts clear as he stepped over the body of the stormtrooper and looked for the injured woman.

The situation escalated multiple levels in the blink of an eye. The imperials were pursuing an obviously injured woman, and these two mysterious men were clearly allies of the empire. Before he could reconsider the action he felt his lightsaber slide effortlessly into his hand from the wrist holster he had concealed it in. He felt his vision narrow, clouded perhaps by the dark-side. Before him he saw the death of Tegan Cath and countless other Jedi in the eyes of this imperial. This was not the time for philosophy, he thought as blasters erupted all around. This was the time for action. It looked like once this was said and done, Kael would be on the run once again. He cast caution to the wind as he ignited the blue blade of his saber and delivered two whirling strikes at I2

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
3d8 ⇒ (3, 5, 2) = 10

"Here and Now Corvus." He says with a half smile as he springs into action. Kael moves to deliver a left, right combo at the mysterious man to his leftI2

Rapid strike unarmed attack
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
2d4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 2) + 1 = 6

Kael Breaths deeply at the sudden climax of tension in the Promenade. He Waits to see what will unfold before making any move. He pays special attention to the suspicious men and their reactions.

Corvus Corax wrote:

"Kael," Corvus whispers in return - her eyes now returning to the two men. "Remember to focus on the here and now." Again she half-smiles as she remembers one of the common mantras of their Jedi training.

She half-turns away from Kael but retains visual contact with the men. "Das is gone. He just vanished. The others that were murdered through Order 66, well there was a sign of their going. We all felt the disturbance in the force. But with Das, I felt nothing. And nobody has seen him either. It's strange. It's why I'm here - but now I'm rambling."

Corvus returns her gaze to Kael. "How are you?"

His brow quivers as Corvus turns away and for a moment he can't take his eyes off of his old friend as he hears the underlying pain in her voice. He exhales finally and again focuses on the men. He places a hand upon her shoulder gently while looking forward."We have all lost much Corvus, Master Cath was struck down right before my eyes." He says, his mind wondering to a much more terrible place than this. He focuses on the here and now- Just as Corvus had reminded him." And so I ran as far as I could, and now I find myself here. Perhaps it is the force that has brought us together this day Corvus," He reasons, he half-turns his face towards hers now. "regardless, it is good to have a friend."

Kael resists his urge to hug Corvus, any such display might draw unnecessary attention to the two of them, and that was the last thing they wanted. Nevertheless, He steps towards her and exhibits the same half-smile as her, the good feelings brought on by familiarity were almost overwhelming and Kael struggled to keep his emotions in check."Small galaxy huh Corvus...What're the chances?" He says in a hushed whisper as he faces the crowd. "I don't like the looks of those men, but then again i don't like the look of alot of things these days. Where is master Das-Han-Pal? " He asks

I'm pretty stoked!

Kael Places a hand on the massive window overlooking Brentaal below. He hadn't sat foot on any world since fleeing Coruscant some time ago, and he missed living in a place without ceilings. Such was the life of a spacer he supposed, such was the life he wasn't quite cut out for.

He was sure that he was meant for more. He was eager to act, his first reaction after running was to lash out in anger, but the order had taught him to act only when he was at peace, and so he had spent the last several weeks making peace with himself, although it was never easy to forget the things he saw on Coruscant.

He glanced over his shoulder warily, instinctively tensing up as saw the stormtroopers on their patrol. He inhaled deeply to calm him self and hung his head before giving the promenade behind him one more look. He raised a brow as he noticed two men lingering on the Promenade sticking out of the larger crowd. His heart races for a moment but he takes relief as they seem to glance over him. Nevertheless, Kael turns his full attention to the Promenade and looks to see if his Ally Corvus noticed the same thing.

A bit of background....

Kael was identified as force sensitive as a new-born on his homeworld of Coruscant. A short time later, as is customary, Kael was taken to the nearby Jedi Temple to begin his life as an youngling.
Right from his earliest trials with a training saber Kael showed great promise as a lighsaber combatant. This drew the attention of human Jedi Knight and one of the lead practitioners of form II lightsaber combat, Tegan Cath. His time as a padawan was not unlike that of any other. He accompanied his master on countless missions, Including a couple on the front lines of the clone wars.
Cath and Kael returned to the Jedi Temple in the waning weeks of the Clone Wars, Merely days before Order 66 was executed. When the 501st and Darth Vader attacked, Cath ordered Kael to run. Kael did as instructed by his master and fled the temple. His escape was only made possible by the self-sacrifice of his master, Who fell to clone trooper fire before Kael's eyes just as the young Padawan slipped away.
As instructed by Cath, Kael Fled Coruscant and followed the Perlemian Trade Route as far as his small supply of credits would carry him. He finds himself now at an unsuspecting space station orbiting the Core World of Brentaal, Sel Zonn Station. A Pull from the force holds him here.

Also...

Because of the similar upbringing, I would suspect that Kael and Corvus at least know of each other, So perhaps they've met up since arriving on Zel Tron Station?

=Excited!

so i'm yet to come up with a solid background, but i see Kael coming from the Jedi Temple in Coruscant. So I think a connection to Corvus is very possible.
