Come to think of it, what does taking evangelist to extend a prestige class to an effective class level beyond 10th do? Does a cleric 3/sorcerer 1/mystic theurge 6/evangelist 10 have Combined Spells (6th), Combined Spells (7th), and Combined Spells (8th)?

The way I understand it is that class features that are specified to have a scaling(such as Sneak Attack damage dice, increased Spellcasting, BAB, Saves, or Rage/Performance rounds) would continue to be gained at the indicated levels.

What that means is that class features stated to scale at certain level increases would continue to scale so long as the class features don't specify a maximum value at 'X' level.

Unfortunately for the Mystic Theurge, the Combined Spells class feature has that exact limitation calling out a cap at 9th level. It wouldn't be unreasonable to houserule that though, but by RAW it doesn't work.

For what it is worth, IMO the increase to both effective spell levels is worth it without the features.
