One of my favourite parts of any Sci Fi RPG has been shipbuilding. I would love to see books on Ships, Shipbuilding, and an idea I hope might be considered, the kind of modularity to shipbuilding that one might find in Starfield. That is sensible. It can change the shape, components, or name of a ship fairly fast and fairly easily. Off the top of my head I don't know the mechanics of it, but I certainly have some ideas.

I'd love to see e-Tools and Multitools added to the game. some models of real life multitools include swappable bits for screw drivers, sockets, etc. That would be a smart thing to have handy. As for the entrenching tools, or e-Tools, they're useful combinations of shovel, pick, and often some extra part or 20, stored in the handles. Great for military, scouting, and wildlife/nature organizations in real life, and I've been wishing there were stats for them in games, too.

Not sure which of many threads this would be best in, so kinda covering my bases here...

I'm afraid there were too many suggestions present for me to go through them all, so I have no idea if the ideas in my post has been addressed or not, and I apologize if so.

I have played several great space-faring rpgs over the past 3 decades, and I have found things about the ships from all of them, that I wish to see in SF2. One feature I think would be great, is if the weapon systems used for the ships, were/are similar in name and type, to other game systems. Reason - If I have a dreadnought from an old Space Opera campaign that I want to bring into SF2, I'd like it to be easier to identify the shields/weapons types, for conversion. If I want to bring in a dynamic class freighter from an old SW Saga Edition campaign, I would like to see the conversion from one game system to the other, to be fairly available. I know Paizo isn't going to be creating a conversion system from one rpg system to an entirely different system, but if the ship's components are easier for a person to recognize, then maybe I can recreate my favourite Firefly class transport in SF2.

I am very much looking forward to seeing what ship creation/generation content comes out for SF2, in part because I'm wanting to see how conversions will work, and how they will look. Will recreating the equivalent to a stock yt-1300, under any other name, have comparable build points? will it exceed the points available? I am hoping that shipbuild rules come out soon, in part so I can get started creating conversions. It's going to happen, I'm just wanting the game mechanics to come out for play testing and for external game vehicle conversions.

I would like to thank you all for your contributions to my query. I had no idea I would be opening such a big can of worms. It appears I may have to do this as a House Rule. My intention has been about taking such Bags into a magic shelter, like a spell or other item. My creation's exact item name hasn't yet been determined, but I have a couple of ideas... I'm just wanting to provide my players with as much consistency as I possibly can, and having memory problems makes reading comprehension a bit challenging... so, I turned to you folks who most likely know the PF2E system much better than I. After all, I mostly remember AD&D, AD&D2E, and AD&D 3/3.5... but I figured the rules might have changedd since the divorce with WotC. Kinda sounds like they have, but I'm not sure if others have reason for believing the old rules still apply to this different game system, or if they - like I tend to do - are having difficulty separating the new system from the old systems.

Anyway, once again, thank you all for contributing to this thread. I really appreciate the different views and insights.

I have an idea on a potential relic item for the party. I remember back in my old D&D days (going back to AD&D, but through 3.5) a bag of holding or similar dimensional pocket going into another dimensional pocket (another bag of holding, portable hole, etc.) would cause a dimensional rift, big explosion, lots of unhappy. I've been looking for that information here in PF2 (because I have no patience for Hasb/WotC licensing flipflops and Paizo kept the spirit alive) but I don't see any specific breakdowns yet. The relic idea I have would be great for the entire party, but would be totally undermined if the old kaboom rule still applies.

Can anyone point me to a specific rule or errata I might have missed, or a forum? I also checked reddit for threads discussing this, as well as did a search through the Forums for key words "Dimension Rift" and "Dimensional Rift", but I've come up empty-handed, so far.
