Strange, I wonder if its pure coincidence?
or does 'Vecna' have roots im unaware of? I always thought it was a purely invented name, but now I wonder if its derived from somewhere...

I always understood Lich was pronounced Lie-sh

I always pronounced Sahaugin: Sah-how-jin

One of the party has already chosen that one. He's going to be our thief, oops, rogue. Scamp? Scoundrel?

Lying, cheating, underhanded son of a spinster? fair enough. two of them in one group is a bit too nasty...

P.S. I was seriously considering some sort of lycanthrop, and not tell them.

you could always go Fey-ri - they have alternate form so it looks like an elf and sounds like an elf but its got lots evil demonic spell-like abilities and can fly. works well as a swashbuckler.

We're likely talking about matchlock, or at best, flintlock weapons. Their damage is, I believe, 1d10, but the time to reload is prohibitive.

I always wonder about the damage they do... I always understood they were horribly inaccurate. I always figured the damage should be quite low but with a massive critical modifier (x6 or something).

I dont think its any harder to add or remove guns from a setting if you want to, but thats just my opinion.

I'm in favour of gun rules for pathfinder (assuming we're talking renaissance style or earlier guns of course) I'd like to see a set of gun rules that are better than the optional rules in the DMG.
(Admittedly im biased as a mate of mine is tryin to create some more realistic firearms rules for a campaign setting he's buiding.)

I doubt anyone's interested anymore, but I reckon Wolfgang Baur describes exactly the way fey should be played in his Degree's of Treachery article on the wizards website. I think that they fit the bill of 'The Wicked NPC: Ambiguous Villains' perfectly. Just a thought...

People are probably gonna disapprove, but the recent film 'Pan's Labirynth' is quite a good inspiration for any one looking to make fey a little disconcerting. Until right at the end of the film your never quite certain of what the Faun is gonna do or whether he really is the helpful figure he claims to be. And the cannibal creature with eyes in its hands somes up, for me anyway, what the Unseelie court is all about!

True...
Does anyone else have a problem with the concept of urban fey btw?

Ive always reckoned fey should all be Chaotic neutral. Fey always seem to be described as capricious, so surely making them good or evil removes that element of unpredictability? Any one fey could be equally capable of giving PCs healing or robbing them blind, or, of course, both!
