I only have the Core book, so I'm not including any of the extra stuff from Armory & Whatever. But I gear out most of my PC's with the following right off the bat. Combat Gear MK 1 Serum of Healing & Medpatch, Armor, Weapon (ideally have a fusion on my primary weapon) Other Gear Everyday Clothing, Field Rations (1 week), Flashlight, Hygiene kit, Personal Comm Unit (aka cell phone), Toolkits for Disguise, Profession (Whatever) & Navigation, Mass Produced Tent, Consumer Backpack, Credstick (with remaining credits) Some of the other gear can be dropped, depending on carrying capacity. You can also get an industrial backpack to up said capacity a tiny bit. Those who use weapons are wise to get a variety of types. I made a major mistake on my first PC having only a laser pistol and ended up fighting fire immune enemies. Had to try to hack them up with a survival knife and it did not go well. Starting with only 1k credits though can limit a lot of things though so don't stress too much.

You all run my favorite show, Mercs (tm). I kept hoping to get you in with my crew, but well war is war and there ain't going back after what happened.
