I dont have any Darksun stuff. Care to elaborate? Especially if you know which module/source it appeared in specificaly in Darksun.

Thanks.

The Dark Lens is a large (10 ft diameter) peice of polished obsidian. In it there are "veins" that are reddish, and they swirl around.

This artifact was used in the creation of the sorcerer-kings of the campaign world.

The exact specifics of the Dark Lens can be found in "The Psionic Artifacts of Athas", or some other such name.

Most. Powerful. Artifact. Ever.

Actually would be interesting to know if the artifact has any meaning at all in the designers homebrew campiagn.

I know of one artifact that could fit the "name", but the Dark Lens currently is in a volcano on a different campaign world...

How exactly does the Lantern work? Does it shine a light for everyone to see or is it just for the carrier? How is it activated?

My players have gotten to the Plain of Cysts and I plan on using ideas in the recent thread about the plains, I'm just unsure about the Lantern.

Thanks!

One thing you should watch out for is Adimarchus' protfolio: madness and betrayal (actually, I'm not sure about betrayal). neither translates very well to lawfull evil.

You know, I hadn't even thought about his portfolio. More things to change . =)

Hiya!

With Occipitus being 'bowl-shaped', you could make it (ironically) the caldera of a giant volcano on any plane ...

That is indeed a very good idea.

Thanks everyone!

Many moons ago with my subscription of Dungeon magazine I got a free copy of Green Ronin's Book of Fiends Vol I, the one that details devils. In it there is an erinyes named Haladriel and the books details a secret society she controls. So early on in my campaign I added her into the picture.

Then along came the SCAP in Dungeon and that fit really well as part of Haldriel's plans. So, I began running the adventure path with my players.

So now, they are about to embark upon the Test of the Smoking Eye adventure and I have run into a slight hitch. All along the opposition they have faced has been Lawful Evil. So, instead of Chaotic Evil creatures, like demons, I have changed many of the encounters to devils.

As they are about to embark to Occipitus I need to change where in the multiverse it is located. It wouldn't make any sense to place it in the Abyss as it is written in the adventure, but I don't know if it will make any sense putting in it on the Nine Hells, thereby making it the Ten Hells. And making it into a demiplane would make it less of an important feature in the adventure.

Can anyone give me any suggestions with this problem?

Thanks.

In the Test of the Smoking Eye, while on Occipitus the adventurers run into the cleric of Wee Jas. It mentions that she is looking for information about the Lens of the Blacksun.

Is this important information? Is it just something that is mentioned in passing?

What is the Lens if it is important? I have been unable to find any more information about it.

Thanks!
