I've had some time to think on how I acted in this discussion, and I wanted to apologize for my rude conduct. I got frustrated that people gave unwanted and unwarranted information in such a way that muddied the water and didn't help in the slightest, but that doesn't mean I should have been rude in pointing that out.
So for my part, I'm sorry for being a rude ass. Next time I'll politely point out that answering a direct question with information that has nothing to do with the question doesn't help.

And see, this is what's wrong with this hobby. A whole lot of people with a whole lot of opinions. None of you have the answers I'm looking for, so why reply?
Seriously! If you don't have the specific answer to the specific question please please please just move on. Because I'm not the only person annoyed at this behavior. I used to do this same thing. Just don't weigh in next time, because nobody asked for theories.

I mean, you could have said nothing and it would have been just as useful. I'll try PMing one of the creators, as I was planning to if I didn't get a response. Thanks for nothing ;)

I'm glad that you're knowledgeable on what's stated in the book, as I am as well. I've been playing, running, and designing since around the time the Bestiary came out. But clearly you have trouble with instructions.
I said I want an official ruling, as do a lot of people.
Yes, it's likely they require 15 minutes of prep time. However, the bigger issue is whether they need to sleep or not.
So if you have the ear of an official Paizo staffer please have them weigh in. If you don't though your opinion isn't needed here.
Please read the full original post next time. Thank you.

But is that the official ruling? Did you get that from a Paizo employee, or is it just your opinion?

Hey all! It's been a couple years since I posted, and I lost my old info, but admittedly that doesn't matter much. The important thing here is trying to get official info on a rules question that I don't think was answered:

What does a psychic character need to prepare their spells for the day?

Prepared casters require an hour, spontaneous casters require fifteen minutes, and arcane casters require 8 hours of sleep. Considering psychic spells require a certain amount of mental and bodily focus, and don't require preparation, my assumption would be 8 hours of sleep and fifteen minutes of preparation. However, I don't want an educated guess. What I would absolutely love is an actual official ruling, that way it could be added to any errata from here on out.

So, if you're reading this and you can get someone to finally rule on it in an official manner I'd greatly appreciate it.

PS: Again, I don't want guesses. I want an official ruling.
