Hi All,

I know it's an old forum, but I hope enough people might look here.

I've found that the first few levels are the most fun in a campaign. They take forever as the party wants to explore all the side quests and intrigue and all that. It's great! I really enjoy this part.

What did you use in your campaign for intrigue around town? There is enough of it with the various mine managers and crazy NPCs. What tactics did you try and what curveballs did you throw at them?

When the party hits lvl 4, they get brought in to the Rusty Bucket to talk taking Balabar Smenk down a notch. What missions did you guys use?

Did you ever play out the repercussions of what happens in the town after The Three Faces of Evil? Did it become public that there were evil cults? Did the garrison get invovled? Was Dourstone arrested? Smenk? I would assume that the other mine managers would gang up and try to take down the other two. There might not be enough on Smenk to get him arrested, though.

Hi All,

I am trying to tie a few player backgrounds into the main plot. Not all, but a few are working out well. So far, I have:

- A storm sorcerer who is the last of his kind. He will be a descendant of the storm druids that Kyuss`s cult hinted down.

- A barbarian gladiator from Greyhawk who was framed for a crime after not fixing a fight.

The wizard will start off as Allustan's apprentice, but character has an odd amulet with an unknown sigil on it. He wants to find out what it means. It was the one family heirloom that got him curious about the world.

Easy and lazy choice would be to make it that language of the Wind Dukes and just someone who died at the Battle of Pesh. No real special meaning.

I could have it be from the ancient race from the south, but then what?

Any good ideas?

Hi All,

I'll be playing with a group of 6 players and am looking for advice in the best way to increase the challenge for my players. Any advice? Just bump up the number of monsters? Any guidance?

If it matters, I'm playing 5E.

Hi All,

I'm starting to run Age of Worms via Roll20 with some friends. I've a love/hate relationship with Roll20, but that's where I am right now with gaming. One of the things I hate is finding maps for everything. I did run Ghosts of Saltmarsh and with an active sub-redit, it wasn't too bad. Age of Worms doesn't have that luxury, though.

I have the old Dungeon Mags and the web supplements. I have found a few re-dos of the old dungeon maps. What I haven't found are maps that can be used for other places at Diamond Lake. What about The Emporium? Church of St. Cuthbert? Places like that. I like to let the players roam and do crazy schemes in town, but that usually requires a map for all the locations.

Does anyone happen to have maps they have used for such locations? Thanks in advance!
