Wind and ocean patterns and currents would be cool... but since we don't have any meteorologists on staff to ensure we did it right, it's not something I'm eager to try.

Hi James, I am an Oceanographer and determining wind directions and surface ocean currents in a map is not that difficult. I got a world map of Golarion and after I added latitude/longitude the Shackles is about 20 degrees North of the equator dominated by NE tradewinds. I made the assumption that the tilt of the planet is the same as the Earth's and that the planet rotates on its axis once every 24hrs and has the same orbit shape around its sun as Earth. Which I do not know if it is the same for Golarion.

I am more than willing to provide help if you want. I can email you the map so you can see it but do not know how to send attachments in this forum.

Michael, I'm just starting my Skull & Shackles adventure and I would love to get a copy of the winds / currents maps of Golarion that you made. That would be a great addition. I'm trying to have weather, currents and winds be a bigger part of sailing around the adventure.

Thanks !

Jim

Would the Skull/Shakles or any other supplement incorporates detailed rules on ships and especially for Naval Combat? The Advance/DMG/CRB have useless and limited information.

Isles of the Shackles is really designed for GMs, focused on providing a gazeteer of the islands and a pretty substantial bestiary. I'm very excited for this to get published, even though my Shackles sea shanty did end up on the cutting room floor.

The Skull & Shackles AP should addressing the issues you're concerned with since players will themselves engage in some lovely piracy on the high seas. The AP promises to be packed with plenty of piratey goodness.

Arrrrh!

Mike, I'm late to the game, but want to thank you for the "Isle of Shackles" Campaign setting -- Excellent book. I came searching for the more detailed map which is now available as PDF. Any chance that this will be available in an updated version of the Map Folio for Sk & Sh ?

Also -- can you make available your "Shanty's" -- there was one you posted, but I'd love to use them as bard/bar room material !! Thanks much !

Here are both the re-done Hero Lab portfolios from Book 1 and the new NPC files from book 2.

I was unable to design Whalebone Pilk from book 2, so if anyone can, please let me know and we can add him in.

Book 1 - The Wormwood Mutiny

Book 2 - Raiders of the Fever Sea

Adding my thanks for your hard work on these -- I will be running S&S in the early Fall and I'm preparing a lot of materials -- these will be an Awesome addition !! Thank you

I have a question regarding the distinction between PC and Party in the use of Disrepute points and Impositions. Many of the impositions are a spell cast by a PC, yet the Party has the disrepute to spend these. Is this a group decision to spend? Also -- do they have to buy the impositions like a scroll in Port? or can they spend disrepute to buy 1 imposition per day ( if they still have points?). I'm still adjusting to this new system and getting ready to run this adventure path. Thanks in advance for your help!

There are bits spread about. I did research for my own "Reavers on the Seas of Fate" pirate campaign, and I summed up relevant bits into my Player's Guide. Hopefully it's helpful.

Ernest, your efforts are very valuable and I'd like to use parts of this for an upcoming running of Skull and Shackles, with proper credit to you of course! Thanks for posting !!

Any further word on this book? Rich's site indicates that it's back from the printer and ready to go. A timeline would be nice, if we could get it.

Thanks
p.s. Sorry, I didn't see the post above from Sunday (didn't show till after I posted). Disregard the multiple spams -- you'll tell us when you tell us.
