Flurry of Blows (Ex)
Starting at 1st level, a monk of the empty hand can make a flurry of blows using any combination of unarmed strikes or attacks with improvised weapons. He may not make a flurry of blows with any other weapons, including special monk weapons. Flurry of blows works like two-weapon fighting, except the monk’s BAB for the additional attack is equal to his level. He can substitute disarm, sunder, and trip combat maneuvers for an attack.
Fury’s Fall
Use both Strength and Dexterity for calculating CMB for trip attacks.
Halfling Luck
+1 racial bonus on all saves.
Helpful
Successful aid another action grants +4 bonus.
Improved Unarmed Strike
Monks gain Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. Monks can choose to deal lethal or nonlethal damage with unarmed strikes and grapple combat maneuvers. A monk’s unarmed strikes count as both natural weapons and manufactured weapons for purposes of spells and effects. The damage from a monk’s unarmed strikes scales with level.
Rough and Ready
When you use a tool of your trade (requiring at least one rank in the appropriate Craft or Profession skill) as a weapon, you do not take the improvised weapon penalty, and instead receive a +1 trait bonus on your attack. The trait is commonly used with shovels, picks, blacksmith hammers, and other sturdy tools—lutes and brooms make terribly fragile weapons.
Underfoot Grace (Ex)
At 1st level, an underfoot adept uses his size and grace to avoid the attacks of those he passes. When using the Acrobatics skill to avoid attacks of opportunity by moving through a threatened area or an enemy’s space, he only takes a -5 penalty when doing so at full speed, instead of the normal -10 penalty.
Underfoot Trip (Ex)
At 1st level, an underfoot adept learns a number of maneuvers and grabs that can cause even the largest opponents to stumble and fall. He gains Improved Trip as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the requirements. At 4th level, and every four levels thereafter, he acts as one size larger for the purpose of determining the maximum size of creatures he can trip and when determining his CMB and CMD for purposes of a trip combat maneuver.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
Monks of the empty hand are only proficient with shuriken. Normal weapons are treated as improvised weapons, treating light weapons as a light hammer, one-handed weapons as a club, and two-handed weapons as a quarterstaff.
