I'm looking for good examples of inclusive worldbuilding -- I'd like to focus on games, but if there's a comic book series, television show, etc. that's a particularly good example I'd love to hear about that too. (Please note: I have zero interest in this turning into a thread about whether inclusivity is important or not, "historical accuracy," etc. I'm trying to get examples of a group of games and other entertainment franchises that do a good job of representing a wide range of characters and generally being welcoming to all sorts of audiences. If you want to debate that stuff, you're free to do so elsewhere, but I'm looking for examples, not debate. Please keep it on topic. Thanks! :-) )
Jay has ridden off into the sunset, and Cassidy's time with us is winding down, so we're looking for a new Paizo editorial intern. Jenny's also looking for a marketing intern. (Marketing intern job description should be up on the jobs page shortly...) A couple important things to note:
Here's the job description. Interested? Email me! :-)
For an intro to Gen Con crunch time, see Wes' post from last weekend here. We shipped Mythic yesterday, but still have a bunch of Player Companions, modules, APs, etc. to get out, so we're all back here today. We started out the day with pancakes made by chef extraordinaire Liz Courts, who kindly agreed to come in on her Saturday morning to feed hungry developers, editors, and artists. We've also got the makings for mimosas. In the crosshairs for today: PF #72 and #73, Pathfinder Society Primer, Faiths & Philosophies, Demon Hunter's Handbook, and The Dragon's Demand. Colossal thanks to everyone who came in today -- you guys are superstar badasses, and I'm in awe of your dedication, patience, and humor in the home stretch of a long, rough crunch. We're almost there. Messageboard denizens, check back throughout the day for updates, and thanks for your support. You guys don't just make this worthwhile, you make it fun. :-)
What are your favorite spells (or items) for getting through otherwise difficult areas? I'm not talking about spells that just let you circumvent the terrain entirely (e.g. teleport or dimension door), but things like feather step, water breathing, rings of freedom of movement, necklaces of adaptation, etc.
First-time GM running a campaign for mostly first-time players; doing a homebrew game to tie into a friend’s campaign before running either Runelords or Council of Thieves for my group. All mistakes in/adaptations to the campaign setting are my own. Dramatis Personae
