Jerram looks down at the tools and immediately begins to rifle through them, looking to find the most intact tool. Eventually he stands and hefts his chosen tool. Jerram pulls back and just as he starts to jam it into the crack the doors begin to part. Jerram starts to stumble before catching himself. He looks over to see that the teacher'd found a way to open them. Jerram gives a nod off respect before beginning to slowly make his way into the dark hall, eyes sweeping for the next danger. ![]()

Jerram stops at the door and is bending down to inspect the wound in Graghhh's side when there is a loud crack and one of the guards is killed. Jerram's eyes flash and he looks at the orc, his face tight and teeth bared. He almost lunges forward before catching sight of Shadara and remembering what they're here for. Finally Jerram stands and signs to Quinten, but does so while keeping one eye on the orc. Sign: This one will live, though he is hurt, it is not too bad. ![]()

He then excuses himself and retreats to his room for the night. After a long time, Jerram finds his way to the bed. He does not even move towards his weapons when it's is suggested that he hands them over, but shakes his head firmly instead. He stands at the back trying to make himself inconspicuous and an inconsequential part of the party as he enters and watches all around for danger. At The mention of the feeble orc, Jerram eyes him sideways for half a moment trying to figure out what this creatures game might be. But he eventually goes back to searching for any hidden danger. Jerram finally jumps the last few feet into the man juggling bottles. Jerram twists slightly as he does so, trying to strike the man just right. While what you say is true, the true motivator that you see is passion. A men need not be motivated by lust, greed or hate. And true to the story, if you feed these too often, they will soon feed on you. I brooded over this story for far too long in Treho. And this is where I began making my vows--I am trying to starve the second. As for hate, though they've killed someone who was nearly a father to me, and destroyed all of my brothers at Treho, I refuse to hate them. They must be stopped, true. But I believe that hate will only weaken my resolve to do everything that may need to be done to stop them. The man who hates, is resolved only to destroy, and that may not be the best way.
He pauses a moment before continuing. As for this second story, I believe it may be related. Could it be a call to make a decision? Saying we cannot wait till all conflicts are decided to commit ourselves. If so, what are we being called to decide? Jerram quicly pulls back at the first mention of the braid, but after a long moment, he steps forward again, reverently pulling it from his pack. He gently hands it over to Quentin with both hands. ![]() Synopsis: While you were looking at the orb, I saw a large creature sneaking towards everyone. There was a lot of action while we all tried to prepare for anything. Unfortunately, I don't think any of us were prepared for him to be friendly. He spoke with us all a bit, seeming to know quite a bit about us and our band. He left us some items and two stories (Herks recent posts), then left. Now we're kind of discussing it. As for me I'll post my post in the morning. As soon as the others start moving back Jerram runs towards a set of vines between him and the stranger, he watches them, and the moment they begin to grow and reach out, Jerram jumps, flipping backwards to land with the others out of reach of the vines.
