"Only if you can kill me first."

Elarya doesn't hesitate; she goes for the face.

Elarya's powerful blow misses Jerem by inches, but he laughs nonetheless, as his two allies circle, one of them beginning to position itself behind the young warrior girl. Alhough his tunic is torn from other blows, and the blood is stil on him, he seems unfazed, a crazy light dancing behind his eyes.

"It would be my pleasure, girl."

Jerem staggers as the vial hits him and explodes, washing him over with flame. The flames lick over his body and go blue for a moment and then dim slightly, as if some of the heat was taken out of the reaction itself. He turns and sneers at the goblin menacingly, his face contorting in an unnatural way, but continues to plod towards Amara and the witch girl Corvina even as the little flames continue to dance about him.

Jerem snarls in frustration as Havak darts back with his amulet in hand, seconds later Amara's arrow skimming his cheek. He quickly gives her a sideways sneer, but returns his focus to the opponant before him."Blasted blue beast! I'll see you skinned for that, One above help me! It's bad enough that these other pinskins have disrupted my enchantment, now you further trouble me by taking my possessions? That WILL NOT STAND!"

He growls and hisses, chanting in a quick and deep tongue that makes the little hairs on the back of the goblin's hair stand on end. His outline shimmers slightly, and with a sound like moving earth, a dark chained whipe begins to congeal about the air in his hand. He clenches his fist tightly with it and cracksit once, slowly advancing on Havak.

DC 17 to recognize spell:
Spiritual Weapon

Jerem is atempting an Intimidate maneuver with his words and casting: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10, but it seems that Havak's adrenaline makes him rather resistant, so no effect.

What is this one going on about? Where there was one there might be more.

She didn't know all the details, but she was smart enough to put two and two together, and from what she gathered, there was a nest of these things.

"Does that mean you found its mate?"

Elarya eyes Jerem with suspicion. She had heard of him, but never really payed attention to what was going on, so desperate was she to forget the events that lead to her coming to Solace.

The man smiles as he regards Elarya and nods. He then turns to face the crowd again.

"Indeed my dear. The mate of the creature has been dealt with, as well as the other creatures."

He then turns his gaze about the crowd, finally settling his vivid eyes on Amara
"and it's young"

With some flourish, the flings the bag he was holding down the middle aisle of the building between the seated townfolk. It flies several feet, rolling over itself several times, and comes to a dragged halt, and out of it spills the bodies of several small winged snakes, and the head of a larger creature flops just outside of the bag, its tongue lolling.

"As I said. My request to The One was answered."

The gathered masses are silent for a moment, seeming shocked by the revelation, no doubt some of them were doubtful of the existance of the creatures at all.Soon the whispers begin again, some in admiration of the end of this new threat, some wondering about what role Elarya, Amara and the others played in this whole ordeal.

Amara's eyes widen as the ground closes up and she feels the warmth surround her.

Well something happened, only time will tell what.

Her mind is spinning with questions. "That was amazing Jerem. What has become of the creatures? Are they gone or just unable to hurt us? Will they move somewhere else and threaten some other community?"

As she looks around trying to sense if anything is out of place or different, she sees Havak and Rook as well as the others and breathes a sigh of relief.

She is trying to determine if all is truly how it now seems.

"The creatures have been told by the One to leave this place. They will not return. They will go far away, and no longer be a threat to anyone."

Jerem turns to the small crowd and holds out his hands. "Good folk of Solace, you have nothing more to fear. The serpents have been sent away, their home reclaimed by the earth. All this by the Glory and Will of the One. If only you show the One reverence, you will be watched over as well."
The few townsfolk that are present seem dumbfounded to what has happened, and oooh and aaah at the flowered vine that has seemingly come from nowhere. Jerem clasps Amara firmly on the shoulder and gives her a smile before going to the citizens to speak kind words to them.
The wind seems to calm a bit, but is still blowing quite strongly.

Amara's Perception:
As far as her keen eyes and stunning grasp of the area can tell her, what she saw actually did happen. Going over to the sight, she notices the lushness of the flowers. Additionally though, she notices three sets of tracks around the area where the burrow used to be. All apparently human. She can account for her smaller tracks, and perhaps the larger ones could be Samel's, but there is another set, similar in size. And these tracks seem older.

Amara's Knowledge Nature:
Two things; the earth doesn't close up itself like that without an earthquake, and she has never seen a vine like this before.

Amara, Rook and Havak

Jerem approaches the area with light steps, his hands folded calmly behind him. He comes to the little burrow where Amara retrieved the shell fragments and peers in, making a little "hmmm" sound and steps back a few paces. "Yes, this should be no problem indeed."

Looking to the sky, he begins speaking in a low tone, almost whipering and clutching his amulet and running soft circle around it with his thumb. At first, the language is unrecognizable to Amara, but after a few minutes of this, he puts both hands in the air.
Moments later, Erec, Rook and Havak arrive with the goblin at the lead, following a trail he found minutes ago. Just a bit behind are several other townsfolk, some holding farming tools, others with fishing spears.

Jerem then speaks in common.
"Oh great One, you protect those who call out to you, and I call out to you now! Bring security back to the people of Solace, your humble servent pleads with you. Send these foul creatures away from the homes and lives of the good folk here." He throws his arms into the sky and looks straight up. The wind had been steadliy and slowly increasing in its intensity before, but it picks up drasticly now, whipping his hair and rustling the leaves of the trees and the grass in the forest. A group of birds leave a nearby perch and fly off.
Then, strangely, a wave of soft comforting warmth washes over the area, the townfolk stunned by what they see. There also seems to be more light, as if the sun had somehow forced its way through the canopy above and beamed directly down on the serpent burrow.
"Yes great One, thank you." Jerem says loudly, and with a shudder of the earth, the hole in the ground closes itself and deep bluegreen vines with white flowers sprout up in its place.

"Friend Amara, if you keep a slow pace, I will see if there are others who may be able to help."
Keeping Rook's message in mind Amara makes their way carefully and slowly to the nest.

It only takes 10 minutes or so to find the area she was led to not long ago by Samel. The wind has picked up a bit since then, making it slightly harder to see the signs, but Amara's knowledge and skill in tracking and her memory served her well. Soon enough, she came to the spot where Samel had pointed the nest out to her.

With Jerem only steps behind, when she stopped, he drew close to her.
Pointing to the area in the ground he says;"Is that it my dear? Is that the place where these beasts emerged from? Have no fear. The One will send them to their makers and bring peace back to Solace."

Amara is a little disturbed by the fact Jerem does not wish to wait for help,

At least Samel will know where we have gone.
She ensures she has everything and nods to Jerem indicating she is ready. "Try to make as little noise as possible when we reach the forest; I would not like to attract the attention of the other snakes if at all possible." When Jerem isn't looking she steals a glance at Rook, glad he is there.

Jerem smiles at Amara, but there is little emotion in it. His face is serious, and his eyes intense.

He puts his hand on her arm and graps her firmly.
"There is nothing to fear. The One protects me. And if you walk with me, The One will protect you as well."
He releases his grip, and sweeps his other hand ahead of him, pointing out towards the forest.
"Lead on, and We will see to this problem."

Amara looks to Abram for his guidance but smiles at Jerem,

"I could surely show you their former nest but as much as I hate to admit it I do not feel comfortable with just the two of us going." She quickly clarifies in case he thinks she does not trust his intentions, "I am already injured from a fall capturing this creature the first time and wasn't much help with its defeat." She admits this last bit with chagrin. "I do not wish to come across even one other not adequately prepared."

She again looks to Abram as the leader of the community for his thoughts.

She notices with some relief that Erec has already left with Havak. "Perhaps we could ask Garrett or his father to come as well. They are both good with a sword."

Jerem places his hand on Abram's shoulder, and looks at the man with concern. "The girl is right, friend, perhaps you should find any other help you can. Amara can lead me to where she found the creatures, and I'm sure whoever can help will catch up to us. Have a bit of faith, and We will triumph." Looking to Amara, "Was it far that you found the creature? Would it take much time to find the place again?"

Approaching the group from around the north side of the windmill, Jerem calmly walk up, eyeing the group with concern.
"Experiencing trouble, are we? I caught the end of that battle, and that beast was indeed rather fierce. Perhaps I could be of service? Thanks to my travels, and the gifts that The One has given me, I have some success in bringing to heel beasts that would plague the innocent. If I was taken to the spot where they were first found, I believe that The One could filter through me his grace, and protect the people of Solace.

abruptly, and with little fanfare Dante felt a shadow fall over him from his spot behind the barrel at the side of a nearby house.

The new man, Jerem Cor stood over him, glancing down at the awkward boy and his odd mask.

Jerem was an attractive man in his late twenties, perhaps early thirties...it was hard to place him. He had a familiar air about him, the sense of a cousin that one had been close with once as a child, but that had not been seen in a long time. He was a handsome man, and until he arrived, Garrett Snow would have held the highest esteem in that regard, but now had some competition. Looking down at Dante, he pushed his pale blonde hair from his face and fiddled with the amulet that hung from his neck before folding his hands behind his back. His eyes were a peircing green, and a bit unnerving to Dante, again in a familiar way that he couldn't place.

"Hello" he said simply. "What are you up to this morning, my friend?"
